Ordered on App. Waited 20 minutes at a stall, no one came out to deliver anything. So, I drive around to the drive thru and waited 10 minutes there. The Worker said "my bad" and admitted they forgot to deliver to the stall. Did they give me a coupon for something free at my next visit? No, they did not. I am done with this place, Will NEVER return again and I will be letting everyone know what lousy service this place delivers. Stopped here for a quick bite. I had never been to a Sonic before. For fast food, it's ok. The burgers were the best part. On special were the double cheeseburgers for $1.99. These were better than most fast food places. A medium order of onion rings had about 5 large rings, a bit small for the price and the coating was particularly sweet. Not my style but some might prefer. We also ordered a caramel shake. This tasted more like vanilla with very little caramel. Service was relatively prompt but considering the fact it was about 4:30 pm and not very busy, I expected the food to come out a bit faster. read more

I stopped by a few weeks ago, and pulled through the drive through. When I pulled up, the girl preceded to tell me they were closed for the next 15-30 minutes. There were several cars in the parking lot, customer cars that is. I ended up going to Wendy's and several minutes later, I saw other cars that looked like they were being helped. Today, I stopped by again. I waited for several minutes in the drive through and no one ever came over the speaker. Several other cars looked like they'd been waiting. The Sonic for Elverson was poorly staffed. I put in a mobile order and still waited 15 min in the drive through for my order. They were out of popcorn chicken, which was a disappointment, as well as not even knowing what drinks I had ordered. Unfortunately, while I understand that the service quality was likely due to only having 2 people on staff, it was not a great experience and it was not the first time I had heard of it happening at this location. We placed a mobile order 30 minutes before arriving with our time selected. When we got to the restaurant we checked in and waited for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. After waiting 30 minutes, our food finally came out. The fries had clearly been sitting, they were cold and shriveled, and they messed up our order-- we were missing an additional side and two drinks. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the girl who helped when I came to ask for another straw and the missing items was so kind. They need help at this location, severely. they took a little longer than most sonics do. there ice machine is broken and they don't tell you when they bring you your food and drinks . my chilly dog footlong was missing quarter of the bun and was burnt . and when I asked for a different drink that was cold they said they do not have anything cold . this location had bad reviews when I was ordering but I'm a truck driver not many places are open and accessible for me so I have it a shot and the people were correct this place is a health code violation and poor service read more

This sonic is easily the worst sonic I've been to. Twice, I've gone for breakfast and sat in the drive-through for well over 10 minutes, while the people inside ignored the drive-through. I guess they open at 10, but the drive-through opens whenever they feel like taking orders. Dear Sonic Headquarters, I have hit up a lot of Sonics in the general area and this is by far your best location. The food here is fresh and tastes good. I use to only order drinks because Sonic kills the drink game. But other sonic locations ALWAYS left me with a rancid, burnt canola oil taste in my mouth from literally anything I ordered besides drinks. I wanted to love the food so bad so I kept trying it. This Sonic however, not sure if it's because it's newer or just better managed, but the food has never tasted rancid or burnt. I order the chili cheese tots and a cranberry limeade and couldn't be happier. Go during happy hour for half priced drinks!!! read more

If you have food allergies DO NOT GO HERE. I personally do not have food allergies but I am in healthcare so I am very conscious of food allergies. I ordered a strawberry milkshake. Throughout my milkshake I could taste peanut butter. Likely the workers did not clean their equipment in between uses. This is not acceptable. The Burgers here taste better, eventhough they have the lame commercial of 2 dudes arguing in a car Sonic has my vote for the best drive thru......This suburban branch is top notch in customer service in their rolling 50's garb and skates. The soda conconctions and the milkshakes are smooth and even the hotdogs are delish. It is worth the drive to this Morgantown branch. Another plus is their payment selection which is the only not so 50's it quizzed me. Sonic Boom here some branches in Philly so I won't have to suffer waiting, and get iggied at Checkers. read more

The cherry lime soda was great. The mozzarella sticks were tolerable. The tator tots (with cheese) were gross. The Jalapeo Poppers were even worse, and the Jalapeo fries reached a new level of gross. Sonic was everything I hoped it would be and more. Some friends of mine and I recently made a road trip from Philly to go visit this location and the food had nothing to do with why it was worth the trouble. Sonic is WEIRD....in a good way. There's no dining room per se, just parking "stalls" for your car and outside seating (which seemed to work well for the local Amish who presumably could not park their buggies in the "stalls.") Your order is placed via intercom and comes out to you on roller skates. All the while, Sonic's very own satellite radio station is playing the hits AND taking requests. Amazing. I suggest you start planning your own road trip, but be sure to pack the antacids. read more

I have lived in CT for 8 years, but over the last year or two, we've been getting a lot of TV advertisements for this place called "Sonic Drive-In." I've heard of it in other parts of the country, but whenever I looked at their website, there wasn't one within 150 miles (the maximum searchable radius on their site) of my town. What gives?? I thought for sure it was just a legend, and these things called "Sonic" did not truly exist in reality. However, this past weekend when visiting my parents in Pennsylvania, I happened to be talking to my brother about Sonic, and he had drawn the same conclusion. So, we looked up the closest Sonic to my parents' town, and sure enough there was one about 40mins away. So off we went, to see what everyone's talking about. Our food was excellent. I loved the Cherry Lime-Aid, the burger was so tasty, and I loved that we had the option of getting "tots" instead of fries. The service was friendly, and FUN, because you get to sit in your car while your server brings your food out on their Roller Skates. Very cool! I'd recommend it to anyone, because it was definitely worth the 40min drive for me. I just hope they build one closer to me, in CT! read more

First time here on July 4th while coming home. This place is kinda like any other fast food restaurant except it has retro style looks and they come to you with your food.. Without the skates. You cant go inside the building (A lesson we learned the hard way LOL) Either you go drive through or you order at 1 of the stalls while parked. Food is fast food quality. dude. my brother and i pack in the car and take special 45 minute road trips just to eat at sonic. sonic's are very popular in the south, and since i'm from the south...i was more than excited to find out that a sonic had gone in remotely close to my hometown in PA. the lowdown... you get to sonic. you pull into a parking spot. (each spot has its own personal order menu)... the employees take your order, and bring your food right out to your car. some even wear roller skates! its genius. old school awesome style. picnic tables are available outside..and you can order from them as well. burgers, sandwiches, fries, onion rings...all that good ol' american crap that's hauntingly delicious. huge portions... you won't spend more than 5 bucks. tops. i mean, unless you are freakishly hungry, and i suppose that's cool. read more

This is the closest Sonic to where I live. I have eaten at Sonics in Alabama, Reading, Pa and in Limerick, Pa. We visit this Sonic at least once a month if not more on the way to Reading. If we don't get a meal we will get dessert. They never have had a problem with ice cream/milkshakes but when it comes to food, that is another story. About 3 out of 5 times they will get the order wrong in some manner. This particular night it was french fries instead of Tots, no problem, it was corrected quickly, we have always attributed this to young inexperienced workers with no effective supervision. The one item I will always get when I order food is a real fruit slushie, lemon. I ordered two real fruit slushies, one lemon and one strawberry whereas the young lady told me that they didn't have lemon and would I like a frozen lemonade. I capitulated and said okay. The frozen lemonade was the worst concoction I have ever tasted. Not only was it loaded with yellow dye it was extremely sweet, in fact, way too sweet. When the server came back to correct the french fry order with the Tots, I gave her the "concoction" back and told her it was lousy and the worst tasting stuff I ever tasted and she could take it back. I expected a refund. We took another 15 minutes to finish our food and still no refund. Perhaps I should have got on the call button and asked where it was but at this point, I was weary of this particular Sonic. There is a Billy Burger opening across the lot from this location and I believe we may have a new place. Maybe they will hire more efficient workers and our orders will be better than 3 bad out of 5 and things on the menu, such as the lemon slushie being on the menu, will actually be available. In case anyone is wondering, there are many beverage selections available at a Sonic, however, when and if you go there, the real fruit slushies are very good but remember, even though they may be on the menu, they may not be, depends on the reading level of the person taking the order or their familiarity of the menu and it apparently won't be at this Sonic location....better off at another....try the Reading, PA location.
