Sonic is always friendly and courteous and the food excellent. I'm a big fan of the foot long coney, with tater tots, and a cherry limeade.

Our only wish was the napkins were bigger. We needed multiples after the juicy hamburger! The atmosphere was small town friendly. Who could ask for more? Keep smiling. God loves you!

The Chili Cheese Dog with fresh, raw onions (as foretold by the cheesy appetizer) was dense and flavorful, maybe the best no-frills chili dog in Oklahoma. My picky 13yo ate his first First Fried Apple pie with a slice of vanilla. His eyes got really big, and the plate was clean in an instant. The big treat, though, is the full-quarter slice of Poor Man"s "Pecan" Pie made with oats, not pecans. Served hot with a perfect slice of vanilla ice cream (yes, it's a tray-cut square) with a perfect crust -- This may be my favorite dessert ever, in the whole wide world. Of course the whole wide world needs more innovative classic food stops like this on Route 66. Also, ask to see their fire-surviving copy of Eternal Route 66 by Chuck Williams, an ironic souvenir from a prior iteration of The *eternal* Rock Cafe. If you're a fan of Sally the blue Porsche from the Disney Pixar movie Cars, ask to meet the owner, Dawn. She *might* tell you her story that inspired the sweetheart sports car, and John Lasseter, Pixar's chief creative officer is happy to confirm when visiting with memorabilia gifts that decorate the cafe. I can't say enough about the warm welcome and atmosphere at his restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch as well. The food and warm atmosphere make this place tops on my list of good places to eat in rural Oklahoma!!! Just can't wait to go back. You won't be disappointed!!!

I arrived and was put off a little by the sign that said it was cash only, their card reader was down. This sort of stuff drives me crazy because I am usually going to these type of restaurants as a destination and it took me an hour to get there. I didn't have cash, but luckily the gas station next door has an ATM. So let's just say I went into Mugsy's a little grumpy. I was seated in a nice booth in a clean dining room and placed my order. I ordered the 4M sandwich with onion rings, and I ordered a brisket philly cheesesteak as a to go order that I plan on eating for dinner. Ended up getting the peach fried pie as well. Food came quickly with large portions, especially for the price. The prices are very reasonable for bbq in this day and age. The owner came out and talked with each patron individually and was very welcoming. When he found out I came specifically to eat, he ran into the other room and brought me a couple of mugs and a to go menu to have if I was ever driving through. He was very nice and I enjoyed the conversation. Some might think he's trying a bit too hard, but I thought it was a nice touch. Especially since he seemed very genuine in his excitement to meet everyone. The 4 M sandwich is a 4 meat sandwich with brisket, Pulled pork, bologna, and sausage, on a very sturdy bun. The meat was all good, except the brisket was a little over done. But not really a big deal, as the sandwich was pretty good. I did NOT care for the BBQ sauce (and I LOVE sauce) as it seemed more like ketchup than BB sauce. It wasn't offensive, I just didn't like it as I felt it was rather bland. The onion rings were 10/10, my favorite style. The peach fried pie was probably the best fried pie I've ever had. So tasty. I will definitely be back to Mugsy's to try some other menu items and bring some of the family back some other time. Food 8/10 Service 8/10 Atmosphere and value 9/10
