Horrible, Horrible. Went to drive thru, waited 5 minutes for someone to take my order. When I got to the window, I was told they were out of something I had ordered. "No problem, just cancel it." I said. I was then told they will not do that, and I had to pick something else off the menu, which was no longer visible. They refused to refund me for a product they didn't have but rang me up for. I picked something else just so I could leave. They then tried to short me a shake, which they did fix before I left. Upon getting home and inspecting my food I discovered they sold me cheeseburgers with NO burger patty!!! After calling to complain I was told they would only give me credit and since I have no intention of ever returning to this location I asked if the credit would be accepted at other Sonics and was told they did not know. A hot dog....A hot dog.....A hot dog. A hot dog is a cooked sausage with a typical mild flavor that is heated and usually served in a long split roll. Sonic... what in the fuck did you do to the classic hot dog we all know and love. I'm honestly so fucking disgusted... this was a tragic experience and I will never order a hot dog from you again. Fast food fanatics this beyond life threatening. If y'all experience this hot dog seek immediate assistance. Let's start out with the temperature. It was warm as if 300 pound man was sitting on it while watching wheel of fortune. Second the toppings. I open the bag to discover a mysterious yellow substance (which is not mustard)/ mustard isn't that thick. Third time for the bun, most likely the worst of them all. The bun had the texture of styrofoam. Came out of the freezer and still had the frost marks on it. Tasted like a mixture of rust and bird shit. And finally the make or break of the hot dog the meat. In conclusion, you can tell that Sonic should never be trusted when serving hot dogs. It's an absolute fucking disgrace that people eat and enjoy that shit. As you can tell we are very upset. I went through the drive through around 9pm. As I was trying to order there was constant yelling in the background, which distracted the person taking my order. Sounded like arguing but I couldn't tell. They didn't have a few things which I can understand as it was the end of the night, however they forgot one of our two pretzels and everything was cold. The tots, the HOT dog somehow. And not to be that person but they had no ice cream so the only reason I went (milkshake) was pointless. Gonna make sure to go earlier in the day next time. read more

Let me tell you how pumped we were to go to sonic as we do not have one in our area. Yes it's fast food and we don't expect TOO much but still they usually have pretty good chilie and cheese tots. Firstly we waited about ten minutes to order. Got to the counter and the girl was super miserable. Ordered the popcorn chicken, tots, and my boyfriend got a burger with sweet tea. 25 minutes pass and we finally get our food. My boyfriend always finishes his meal. I am the waster. Ive been to this sonic a solid amount and I'd say 50% of the time I go there's an issue. Sometimes they're only accepting cash, but majority of the time it's that their milkshake machine is down. It is constantly down. I typically go an hour or two before close and I feel as if it's only down bc they shut it down for the night. My reason for thinking so is that anytime I go during the day, it's completely fine. I get up from what I'm doing and drive over there to regularly figure out the the machine is down. A consistent waste of 30 min. If u want ice cream take the sure fire chance to get it and go to Carvel. I surely will not be wasting any more time here. read more

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not a fan of fast food for the most part. My kids and I decided to try the new Sonic on a whim one evening and all agreed it was a bit lackluster. The service is a bit strange as no one was waiting at the counter to take our order, so we waited a few minutes before an employee took our order consisting of burgers, fries, and soda. Nothing about the meal really stood out from other fast food and we soon found that we couldn't get refills for our drinks without paying extra. I doubt we'll be back. read more

I went to go inside and ask for it but the lobby was closed. I then got in the drive through and said I had an online and she said I could pull right around and someone would bring it out. We ordered a simple burger, tater tots and 2 medium shakes from this sonic. They gave us 2 large shakes, charging us for one large and one medium. The burger was extremely overpriced (almost $7), the bun was soggy, tomato was smushed and tasted old and was overall put together horribly. The tater tots were undercooked and soft; i had to toast them when i got home to make them crispy. One of the shakes was a vanilla when it was supposed to be a chocolate. They messed up nearly every aspect of our order and the food was terrible. We will most likely never go to another sonic because of this experience. Do not go to this sonic! read more

I've never been one to go solely based off reviews, but after today I can now agree that this location needs customer service training. I ordered from the app as I always did in Texas prior to relocating to Syracuse. If you've had experience using the app then you know your name appears on the drive in screen as well as a status of your order. After waiting 10-15mins for two small slushes. I notice that my name was gone from the screen and order was completed on the app. So I pushed the button and a girl comes over the speaker to tell me that I can just pull up to the window, with no explanation or apology. Warning! Rant coming! I have been a fan of Sonic for about 25 years. Recently I have been in the midst of one of the worst customer service situations I have ever experienced. It is over a relatively small check that we incurred at a terrible visit to the Sonic on Erie Blvd. in Syracuse N.Y... The visit was about a month ago. Long story short, long wait, lousy food, lousy service, and at the end of the meal we noticed some areas that were less than clean. I'm not usually in the habit of calling customer service over this kind of stuff, but this place really pissed me off. It was a bad enough experience that I didn't even want to deal with the location. I called Sonic Corporate and got no response. I called them back a few days ago. They said I should hear back from the location in 24 to 48 hours. Guess what no call, text, or e-mail. Now I'm pissed. I just called corporate again and got the runaround. I told him outright that I wouldn't go back to that store, and I just wanted a refund. Over a whopping $17.15 check I'm getting the "I have to notify their superiors, not a corporate store runaround. I explained to him corporate or not Sonic's name is on the building, and it doesn't look good for them. He had the gall to say I realize that, but now we have to take a different course. Realizing I was pissed a good move would have been to bump me up to his supervisor. Nope. "They are usually good about getting back to you in 24 to 48 hours. Bad move. As I approached the establishment, my pulse quickened, and pulled into one of the parking spots with the ordering kiosk. Not wanting to waste any time I quicky ordered the number one on the menu. I was going to meet, after all these years, Sonic the Hedgehog. I can't tell you how many hours and days we played together on the Sega Genesis video gaming machine.
