Service is a hit or miss our waitress seemed to be worried about her friends that were dinning there so she was clearly distracted. The inside of the diner is cute is gives diner vibe. We got one of the last tables available, and we were glad we got there when we did because it stayed full the whole time we were there. The food came out quickly and was very fresh. I had a hard time picking one what I wanted because everything on the menu and what I saw coming from the kitchen looked so good. I opted to make my own omelette with swiss cheese, jalapenos and bell peppers; hashbrowns and a biscuit. They advertise that the biscuits are the "world's best" and I have to say they are VERY good. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and I could have eaten a second helping of them. This is a great stop if you're in the area, and I feel like I need to make some regular trips to Lafayette to work my way through the menu.

My daughter had the hot honey chicken breakfast sandwich (holy oh my God). My socks are officially knocked off!! Did NOT expect this place to be sooooo freaking good! Service was impeccable as well. Krystal really took care of us. I don't believe we were even in her section but she handled our table with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Honestly we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I can't wait to go back and try something different!! Must come and try this place. (I'm still grazing on my French toast, lol) 5 stars

Oh, it must have been an off day for her…read more We wanted brunch that morning just because. I picked the place, because the last time we were at Toasted Yolk they were under construction. And the manager gave us a discount because of the noise. First tip off that this might not go well, was there was only one other car in the lot, and they were at the To Go door. Well, that means all the attention will be on us. And we were indeed the only people in the place at 8:00 a.m. "Table for two, please." We followed her as instructed, and passed window booths to be placed (pause, deep breath) next to the bathrooms. Um, no. This will not do. But we were polite. My wife asked if there was another table not near the bathroom that we could use. The young woman literally slammed the menus down on the table, and walked off in a huff into the kitchen leaving another person to quickly come up and bring us to a table. Suddenly, our brunch mood dissipated, and we felt our welcome had quickly chilled. We apologized for putting anyone in a bad mood and got up and walked out the door. Of course, they apologized as well, but the deed had been done. I do not want anyone in the kitchen that is angry with me. The kicker is that there is another brunch spot nearer home than this one. And that's the one we went to and received excellent service. Lafayette has so many choices for dining that one wrong move will strike you from the list. Sadly, this was a wrong move. I guess that only leaves fifteen other choices.

Nice building, good service, good food!…read more I came in town for a family gathering and caught up with my dad for lunch. He chose BJ's. The building is nice, there's plenty of parking in a huge lot, and you get sat pretty quickly. There's PLENTY of seating. I got the caesar salad with grilled shrimp, and it was pretty good. A tad salty, but still good and did the job. Simply caesar salad. It was pretty quiet, so I am not sure if the ambiance is more social at night. I'm assuming it is, with all the TVs. Probably a hub for all the major game viewings!!! Server was super attentive and made sure drinks were refilled consistently without making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. I assume it's a different experience at night, but overall no complaints!

We ordered the mac-and-cheese balls, fish and chips, and prime rib hoagie and the food quality blew us away--from the crispiness of the beer-battered fish to the juicy and tender beef. My favorite bite of the day was definitely the prime rib sandwich soaked in that delicious au jus sauce, although the sauce could have been thicker and a bit more flavorful. But it goes without saying that the star of the show was their world famous chocolate chip pizookie--a large, soft, ooey-gooey amalgamation topped with two thick scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. I immediately understood the hype as the pizookie was both simple and decadent. 7/10 ~ Ultimately, I would return to BJ's just to try more of their sandwiches and pizookie flavors^^

We ordered waters very quickly, but when it came to food ordering it took quite a while to the point we had to ask for someone to get our waitress. Overall the food was solid, but nothing to write home about.(I'm from breaux bridge by the way, but live in Houston) I ordered the grits and grillade, my fiancee ordered the boudin burrito, and my dad ordered the grits bowl with eggs and bacon. Dad said the grits bowl was solid. He goes there often by the way. Fiancee said that the burrito was just ok. I did taste the burrito and it left some to be desired. When I think about boudin, there's a kick to it. Really, when I think about home in south Louisiana there's a particular burst of flavor that comes to mind. The grits and grillade was good. Again, could have more pop to the flavor of it. Great mixture though of the grits and roast. Overall, a cozy place to get a bite to eat. The food is solid and the place deserves 4 stars. Could kick up the flavor a notch, but I wouldnt say I walked away saying this wasnt worth it. Ps. The biscuit was very soft. Very good biscuit.
