Wow wish I had read the reviews before I decided to order on the app for this location. Ordered to go and ate at home, but shame on me for not inspecting the food more closely. Server was very pleasant. And I didn't wait very long as I checked in on the app. Ordered double cheeseburgers and cream slushes along with chicken wraps. The wraps were not good to look at but tasted fine. The double cheeseburgers burgers ended up only being single patties. The slushes were missing the ice cream entirely. After a failed attempt to find a new speakeasy, we ended up headed home, but still needed to satisfy our sweet tooth, so Sonic to the rescue!! There is no ambiance to speak of, you're sitting in your car waiting for them to bring your food and the night air outside is redolent of nothing so much as hot wet garbage, but service is pretty quick and the drinks were tasty. Some of the screens are broken outright, you're usually going to be waiting a while for your food, and that's IF you get all of your order in the first place. So we decided to give it a try. We drove into about three booths and nine worked. At the first one, we could barely hear the person. She obviously could not hear us. We tried two more and nothing happened. It looked like the they closed. It was 11:45. If they closed at m¹od-night, they closed too soon. To make a long story short, we never did get an order through and ended up leaving with empty stomachs. What a disappointment....We ended up at an old standby, McDonald's. Sonic, so not into it. So when we moved into our new place a few weeks ago, I wanted to try all the places near us. This was one of them, I had never tried Sonic before. All their advertisements with so many flavors of milkshakes and ice creams seemed like a good dessert party in my mouth. So after running some new house errands, we stopped here around 10-11pm. Wait time is decent, the Sonic employees seemed efficient and didn't take that long to bring out our order. My hubby ordered the triple chocolate shake, I got the banana split master blast, my father in law who was visiting got banana split ice cream. My father in law didn't like his ice cream very much, the quality wasn't there and my milkshake didn't taste that amazing as well. I couldn't even finish half of it. Finally, I decided to see what the hub-bub is all about, and went to the one location a block over from Congress Ave in Boynton. While the gimmick of ordering and having someone personally come to your car with your food like an old-school drive in was cool, the food was similar to most fast food chains -- if not a small step above it. I ordered a burger with chili cheese tater tots. It was filling and satisfying. I did like chilling in one of the drive-in spots, while playing Smith tunes out of my car while I noshed on my food. There's plenty of parking spots, the service is fast, and the food is alright. And it's nice to go to fast food spot and feel like you can enjoy what you're eating without scarfing it down your throat while driving. So yeah... the place is good for a fast food joint.
