The Mexican sampler wasn't great but the poppers were fantastic so we ordered a plate of 12 more and fought over them like wolves. The pizza is from the place next door and its not worth ordering so stick with the poppers!

This is noteworthy in the sense that you can look up Bar Pacific and try to locate all their pubs- most of them are in run down locations or really out of the way areas. This has not stopped it from succeeding though- and I suspect it is for that specific reason, location; that has brought it so much success. It wouldn't take much to explain what bar pacific is- its a local bar where you will find that most of the clients are locals and young people who come here looking for a good deal; their beers are sold by set (half dozen) in line with local practice. Usually the entire place is filled with people playing dice games and drinking games of sorts. You will also find that this is not a place for a quiet chat or classy night out- its straight forward in terms of a grotty local bar that's cheap and convenient- its not pretending to be anything its not which is part of its charm. As tourists or expats I doubt you will come here as there really is nothing much in it for them- catntopop karaoke, the local drinking games. But if you are local and you want to go out for an authentic "tor dei" night out- then bar pacific will be the first and last thing you will remember.

So we could barely see anything but we thought it's ok we're just gonna enjoy the drinks and foods. Well it turned out the view already was the best part of the night. We ordered 4 cocktails and only 1 was good. We didn't finish the other 3 because they just tasted horrible. My advice is just get something simple like gin and tonic or coke and rum. Their own signature cocktails were a waste of money. We also ordered fries and fried chicken which were overcooked. They were probably left in the fryer for too long. The wagyu beef slider was actually quite delicious but hey we paid $180 for 1 slider it'd better be good. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. I don't think I would come back again..

A nice place to relax with friends after work; also suitable for couples. There is a wide variety of Scotch, Japanese whisky and cocktails. They got Scotch like Scapa and Caol Ila which are not very commonly seen in bars in the area. The price is reasonable, most of them are of around HK$100 for a single shot. We arrived around 1030, after dinner in a restaurant nearby. It was our first visit and the experience is nice. We were served by a Japanese bartender who is friendly and helpful. We had some beer, whisky and cocktails: Suntory Premium Malt on tap, B+ Creamy and rich. Of course much fresher than the bottle / can one. Hong Kong Cooler, A-: A vodka based cocktail with some citrus, ginger ale and ... jasmine tea? A very refreshing drink. Scotch Manhattan, A (*caution: this grading is only suitable for Islay lovers. Forget it if you hate peaty stuff): The bartender recommended this when I told him I love Islay and wanted a strong cocktail. Basically Ardberg 10 with Vermouth. The peaty Ardberg and the sweet vermouth match perfectly. One of the best cocktails I have ever tried.
