Letting someone new touch your hair can be a very weird, apprehensive moment. However, this salon really has a great, welcoming vibe and they know their stuff. I've been coming to this salon since I moved here to the DFW area in December of 2014 and it's the best decision I could've made. I love the atmosphere, I love all of the stylists and the creativity they bring. My stylist is Mrs. Melva and when I 1st came to her my hair was shedding so bad and getting very thin which was a major concern because I've always had very thick and really long hair. After undergoing surgery and taking a variety of medications I didn't realize that was the cause of my hair loss. Thanks to Mrs. Melva she was able assess this and took immediate action to get my hair back on track. So I can happily say during my time here my hair has thickened tremendously and grown soo much! I moved here from Oklahoma and I wasn't used to the higher prices for the services BUT I knew I wanted my hair to get back to where it was and I was willing to pay whatever I needed to pay. If you are getting top knotch quality service why not pay a little extra for the excellent results?! I've referred several of my friends to come to this salon as well. I love the treatment you get with every service and how my hair ALWAYS has so much body and bounce! If you choose to make Melva your stylist, make sure that you do NOT have an emergency. If you don't give a 24-hour cancelation notice, you will be CHARGED a fee. Due to rainy weather, I informed Melva 7-hours prior to my appointment that I would not make it. She stated since it was my first time she would not charge but next time give a 24-hour notice. I informed her that I didn't know the weather was going to be like this, she stated that The Weather station did inform us the day before of how the weather would be. Maybe she should inform all of her clients of the expected forcast so that we can plan our schedules accordingly then. The hydrotherapy treatment is a waist of time, you will get just as good of result if you do a hot oil or deep conditioner with plastic bag. She refuse to do color on my hair until I have went to her for 2-months. I will not be going back. read more
