The exterior of the building is nicely maintained and upon walking in the store I was totally mesmerized at all of the stuff to look at. They have tons of yard flags and other cute little knock knacks to stick in the garden. They also carry a variety of OBX souvenirs, Christmas ornaments and other knick knacks. Yeaaa I had to go caps cause it was a paradise for the sport fanatic out there, from college to the majors ! One bad thing that I was not happy to see was Dallas Cowboys paraphernalia located next to my Eagles gear, and the stinkin Mets near the Phightins (that's Phillies for those who don't know) When I mean everything , I mean EVERYTHING from Nascar fanatics, to "Bling" for your vehicle representing your team. For the fathers to be this is your shot to get your little girl or boy their first bib with the your team. Football gnomes, decals.. I can go on and on. I didn't want to leave, because every isle I went down I stopped and said "NO SH*T" they have this, or WOW I need to get that.. A man cave turned into a store for you to splurge. Funny enough my husband wanted to go to The Cotton Gin to shop for Vineyard Vines clothing. I had planned to sit the shopping trip out but next thing I know I'm checking out at Cotton Gin with a new puzzle, bracelet, Christmas ornament, candy and bag. Just when I didn't think I needed anything I managed to find a variety of things at Cotton Gin. As indicated by this anecdote, The Cotton Gin sells a variety of stuff and it's fun to wander through the various rooms of the two level store. Although I most commonly come away with beachy souvenirs it is worth noting that they have high end cotton products like towels, quilts, and such. The Cotton Gin has various locations and the Nags Head store is located at the 14 Mile Post across from the Outer Banks Mall.

This store takes up space in the Outlets of Nags Head. Which is good for the plaza. Think of this as a high end souvenir shop. A lot of beautiful things that you can take home to decorate your place. It almost feels like a library in here. It is quite, bright, and every shelf or table is full of items to browse. A lot of things that look desirable. So many things that you can take a lot of day looking through it all. I came in and looked all around, I went straight to the magnets to add to my collection. My nieces and nephew went straight for the shells. All nice and clean, ready to pick through. They also have this section where they have mini books, which they loved. Walked out of here with many little things, most of which are on the fridge at home. Great place to browse and grab.

For example, I saw a ladies blouse with cute pink flamingos on it, a baby sleeper with cute sheep on it and some cute dishes with Mr. and Mrs. on them. While the items here are endearing and they have many fun patterns and colors, I think a little bit of Mud Pie in the wardrobe or the home goes a long way. Mud Pie is a chain and the store definitely has that corporate feel to it compared to the other locally owned shops in the Outer Banks Mall.
