Somburros catered lunch for our office, and it ended up being a pretty good meal overall. I had both a beef taco and a chicken taco. They were both good, although I thought they could have used a little more seasoning to really make the flavors stand out. Even so, they were still enjoyable. The rice and beans were done well and rounded out the meal nicely. Overall, everything tasted pretty good, especially for catered food. Atmosphere is super cute. Food is good. Booths are spacious. Staff always seem stressed and rushed no matter how kind and friendly I attempt to be. It just really never feels like they care that I am here giving them my business, and that has always bothers me. I got here shortly after 11am so it is not even busy, yet. I do not know why they can't be a little nicer or at least smile. I feel like I am inconveniencing them to take the time to take my order and prepare my food. I should not need to feel that way. Still I keep coming back, year after year. Something about dining here feels festive. I am glad this location has a drive thru. I have also used that before. Soda is always good. This is important to me and can ruin my whole experience at a restaurant if soda doesn't taste good. The lids are a struggle to put in the cups though. I overheard an employee helping a firefighter get his lid on, and I mentioned that I always have the same struggle, myself. They have Christmas music on which is nice for mid-December. There is a lot of yelling coming from the kitchen which is a bit distracting and detracts a bit from the experience. Oh well. Not a huge problem. read more

Came here for a late dinner for my kiddo. The menu had plenty of options for à la carte or meals. I got the kids taco meal and the portions were big. It came with a taco with choice of flower or corn tortilla, rice, beans, small drink, and a small order of churro. All in all the food was very fresh and at a great price! The police had quite a few hungry customers eating and waiting in line for their order. I decided on a shredded chicken burro. I got my free chips with the order, paid and found seating. I got my drink and anxiously awaited the order. A staff person delivered my meal to me. The Burro was hot and juicy. It made a nice mess on my hands and plate. Well that's what napkins are for. I hate to say it, but Someburros is terrible. First-time customer and I'm confident this is my last visit. I stopped in to satisfy a craving for tacos, but it was hardly edible. The shells were painfully hard, the meat was tough, and lettuce wasn't fresh. Peep my pictures. One is supposed to be ground beef and the other chicken. Yuck. My burrito was warm and stretchy on the outside with crispy taters on the inside. I have a love and hate relationship with this chain. Some locations are good, some not so much. Food: The variety is impressive for a casual place, but the proteins leave a lot to be desired. The prices are fair, but I would be willing to pay an extra $1 for a bit more and cooked a bit better. The menu options are confusing as well, especially when it comes to burritos/chimis. Service: Hit or miss on register. Tables tend to stay dirty longer than they should be and staff needs to be called over to clean up; with many empty tables often not cleaned. Overall: A much better option than Chipotle. Overall a star or two below Backyard Taco in East Valley. read more

I tried a salad recently and it was mediocre but the shredded chicken is good... (I'm kind of picky about chicken and I approve!) I've always done takeout here but there is plenty of seating should you choose to dine in... Counter service is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of parking. Someburros was okay for us. The workers were very friendly, but it seemed as though priority was given to drive thru or pick up orders at it took a very long time to get the food out. This was a bummer because we actually had earlier lunch plans with friends and by the time we actually got our burritos, we had about an hour and a half before eating again. I was surprised and disappointed to learn that sour cream was an up charge similarly priced to guacamole. We've eaten here several times and often get "to go" from the drive through on our way home from the airport. Salsa is excellent you can buy it in pint size container's. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table, along with chips and salsa. Nice ambiance it's in between fast food and a family restaurant. read more
