My wife wanted to stop by this Soma store when we came to the Valencia town center. I took her to the store in Woodland Hills so she's already familiar with the brand. When we walked inside, the lady working greeted us and told us about the sale they are having. She was very helpful to us and other customers in the store. For the past several years I've always shopped at Victoria Secret and have been sized as 34-36D. About a two months ago I went and got resized as I had lost a decent amount of weight and they told me my bra size was still a 34D. After a while I noticed my bra was a bit too tight and I had lots of spillage in the cups. I tried to figure out my own size but it seemed like I was stuck in between sizes. I decided to come here with my mom, and we received the most EXCELLENT customer service and assistance from ginger. She was so sweet and kind and helpful. when I explained to her how it felt like I was in between sizes. She had me try on a 34G and it was game changer! It fit me so comfortably and perfect. I was disappointed because my "order online, pickup in store" transaction was cancelled with no explanation or call from the store. Jaterra saved the day. She reordered all of my items to ship to me using my coupon and was so incredibly polite and sweet during the process. The struggle is real When it comes to finding bras that fit (44G). But today, I was pleasantly surprised that Patty and the manager of Soma Valencia were able to find me a minimized bra that not only fit but made me feel sexy. The bra felt like I had nothing on, which I am sure all women want when it comes to a bra that has wires. Used to be a big fan of this store, clothes, pjs, bras and mostly their customer service. They seemed to have gone down hill in the customer service dept. (well depending of how you look apparently) Have been in the store a few times with my adult daughter and have been completely ignored. I'm very late on writing this review as this happened several weeks ago, but I keep reminding myself to do it. I brought a bra into the store that I had purchased at the store months earlier but was never going to wear, because it just wasn't the right fit. I had a receipt that was 5 months old. Most stores would definitely NOT exchange or refund an item based on this criteria. I thought I would take a chance because I'm a good customer. The manager really stuck her neck out for me ( I wish I could remember her name!) and allowed me to just pick a new bra and exchange. I only had to pay $5. The new bra was perfect! Being a larger-breasted woman, bra shopping has always been a chore for me and I have always left defeated and bra-less or settling for a bra that's not fantastic and feeling insecure for the rest of the day. I went into Soma with a friend to get a bra for her and she talked up her bras quite a bit, I thought it couldn't hurt to try one on. After talking to Leah about my bra experiences, she offered to do a bra fitting and saying yes was the best decision I could've made. Not only did she make me feel so comfortable during the whole process, she found me the best and most supportive bra I have (now) ever owned, and she took the time to explain why certain bras fit me better than others. Not only did she help me find the best bra for everyday wear, but she also helped me find the best, most supportive and comfortable bras for while I'm working as well. She also went over proper care to maintain the quality and improve the longevity of the products I was purchasing. Leah went above and beyond and I have never been so impressed by customer service. I left the store not feeling insecure and defeated, but excited and relieved to finally find a store I can go to knowing I will be helped with the utmost customer service and be able to find a bra that fits and supports me properly. Leah also informed me about the bra donation program and explained to me how it works. I think that program is so amazing and is yet another reason (along with Leah's phenomenal customer service and knowledge and the quality of the products themselves) I will only be shopping at Soma for bras and intimates from now on. Love this store! Excellent customer service. A large variety of bras and panties in a variety of sizes! They also have super soft pajamas and shirts. The quality is excellent. Washes great and not falling apart after months of wearing and washing. So much better quality than the online stores and VS. 2nd time purchasing bras & panties at Soma. I must tell you that Bonnie & Kat are lovely associates who really know what they are doing. Bonnie showed me I have been wearing my bras wrong for years. Wow what a difference! Seriously. Mind blown. She had to go on break as we were finishing up so Kat took over & took great care of me. The only complaint I have is there was another associate at the register, who was very unfriendly & couldn't be bothered to say hello or acknowledge I was there. Ebony and Anna helped me out find the perfect bras! Right away they took my measurement and I didn't even have to lift a finger! They got all these bras together for me to try and helped me figure out how to get the most out of my money! These bras were so high quality and the workers made my experience so memorable! Great customer service and gorgeous bras, but I have one complaint that I would like the company to take into consideration. The bras that I purchased are lacking in sewing construction of wired area under the bra which has a seam that while wearing folds over and rubs a tender area of the body causing discomfort. Various other manufacturers bras that I've purchased do have a smooth seam that is comfortable to wear. Very disappointed in this comfort aspect of Soma bras as they are very attractive and expensive. Also to note, though I hand wash the bras the underwire tends to break. I requested to purchase underwire replacements which are not available. A good product should have timely wearability as well. read more

For a lingerie store whose mission statement should be to make all woman feel beautiful under their clothing, this store is an absolute disgrace. My mom had come in here to try on a bra and had shown the sales associate that it was not fitting her correctly because it was puckering on one side of the cup. The sales lady had the nerve, the audacity to ask my mom if her breasts were her originals! When my mom responded they were not, the sales associate proceeded to tell her that's is why bras do not fit her because bras are meant for breasts that hang and not for breasts that protrude out. How shameful of this woman, regardless of a woman's decision to not have their "originals" is not of anyone's concern!!! Or where it is not a decision such as a double mastectomy. Very emotional and private so my mom simply left with grace. I had the mind to go to corporate, I really would have appreciated a hand written apology to my mom. I was not able to get in contact with a district area manager only the store manager who said she would have a "serious talk with the employees." Ladies, please go else where, somewhere that empowers you to feel beautiful and confident as lingerie should. God forbid another woman fighting breast cancer is subject to this treatment and judgement or even woman who have breast fed babies or abnormalities and yearned for their breasts to have some kind of visual aesthetic. Loved this store! I walked in for the first time today with only 20 minutes to find a bra and get out. Deborah was amazing! She measured me, handed me exactly what I asked for and sent me to the dressing room. Before I had time to get my shirt off, she was back with one more for me to try. She quickly helped me make some adjustments and decide on what would work best for me. I was in and out in a flash and I have not only a new bra I am very happy with, but also some new underwear to try out :-) Can't wait to go back - they have a beautiful selection of undergarments and sleepwear! These people don't know how to fit you properly!! I usually go to Naughty But Nice to purchase my bras, but I figured I would give Soma a try in that they are closer to my house. Went in and asked for my size, tried it on and I couldn't really tell how it looked on me, so when the attendant came to check on me I asked her and she said that it didn't look good so she brought me a larger size. Put that on and she said it looked much better. They were out of stock in the color I wanted so they ordered it for me. She tried to push a black bra on me but I didn't want or need one. She wasn't happy about that. It didn't seem that they were interested in me. They just wanted to make a sale. When my bra came in the mail and I tried it on, My husband came in and said that it's too big for me. "Your old ones look better on you than that one!" Not going back to Soma!! I'll make the time to go back to my regular store. They take time with their customers and make sure that you're fitted properly. I don't think these ladies know what they're doing. read more

I have to admit as I mature into my late 40s Victoria secret which I have worn since I was 18 years old he's no longer comfortable there's nothing wrong with trying to feel good about your intimates but I've had enough with all the marks and bruises that I received from Victoria's Secret I walked into Soma and Chondra made me feel so good I was in my uniform so therefore I did not want to try anything on I did make an appointment to come back with her on a Saturday to bring back any of the things that I have purchased but I was happy with the quality of the material from the bras and the yoga pants were extremely to my liking I did go back on Saturday and return the bras because I did not feel they fit very well she helped me with every single bra in the store to find me a bra that fit she made me feel very welcome she even help me pick out a very nice night gown that feels so soft I can't wait to wear it the only complaint I have is that I had the impression it was a grandma store and I had to think I am a grandmother that I still would like to look and feel my best as if I did when I used to wear Victoria's Secret all I have to say is I'm excited to try these bras and panties I did where the panties for the first time and I absolutely love them compared to Victoria's Secret for once I was not picking my underwear out of my butt in my uniform pants all day stay tuned I will try the bras Monday morning but the customer service here is exceptional I walked in never even saw this girl before and she greeted me by my name I was quite surprised she said Chondra was expecting me that alone will make me come back to purchase clothes here hopefully I will be very satisfied and they are very pretty thank you for making me feel better because for the last year and a half I felt like crap read more
