I was told I had a few small cavities. After taking my first x-rays, never was it expressed to me that I had any tooth decay, etc.Tremendous pain during the filing. I have accepted that I will now need a root canal, however, I truly believe that it was poorly done. Perhaps, so that I would have no choice but to return with additional charges to my Insurance company. To add insult to injury, I was totally polite even after this experience and they refused to send me additional x-rays after they asked me to come back. I knew I would never return, but the least they could have done was send me my x-rays.Depending on who they perceive you to be will determine what kind of treatment you receive. In other words, some of these people have had great experiences while others, like me, have to pay for the pain caused and the apathy and lack of professionalism is ridiculous. I'm really sorry that I chose this place and will regret it for a long time. I am happy that I have found a caring dentist.

This one star review is for the manager of this dental office…read more This used to be my favorite dental office until they renovated their office and hired an office manager. My whole family used to go here and we love Dr. V for her great service & bedside manner. Fast forward until my most recent cleaning & check-up. I had made an appointment at 8am and showed up at 7:50 am and checked in. I was very pregnant at the time so 1)it was important for me to maintain my dental hygiene and 2)it was extremely hard for me to sit for an extended period of time. I waited 45 minutes & saw several patients who came after me got seen. When I asked when the dentist will be able to see me, the so-called office manager took me to an office (?!?) and told me they are running behind and given the fact that they can't give me an Xray(due to pregnancy), they would need to reschedule my appointment. Mind you, I was livid! But as I was living, Dr V asked the receptionist what happened and intervened to see me. The way the office manager treated me was absolutely unacceptable. And I will never come back. Total cruel treatment of a pregnant woman and absolute disrespect of my time. There are many more nicer dental offices around where I will be taking my business to.

I had a checkup done, including x-rays, and after…read morereviewing them and my teeth, she told me everything was fine: I had no signs of cavities, and my old fillings looked fine. We then started having some small talk about my teeth, and I mentioned in passing that I had a tiny metal filling done on my lower left molar 12 years ago. Then she changed her mind and said I would need to get it replaced, without even looking inside my mouth again or re-checking the x-rays. I asked why, since she had just told me the filling looked fine, and she said that metal fillings were bad because over time, they expand and contract and can cause cracks in teeth. So to prevent that from happening, it needed to be replaced every few years. That sounded reasonable, so I scheduled the appointment and had my metal filling replaced with a composite one. The filling itself went fine. The problem came after the filling had been completed, while they were shaving it down. The dentist was chattering with her assistant when all of a sudden, she slipped, said "oops!" and accidentally shaved the opposite side of my tooth (the part of the tooth that was not being worked on, that had no filling. AKA, my healthy enamel). I felt a sharp pain when it occurred, but it left as quickly as it came. Now, as a new nurse grad, I know that healthcare professionals are human and can make mistakes, so I honestly didn't mind. I figured she'd just add some filling in the new dent she had made on the other side of my tooth. She didn't. Instead, she exchanged a worried look with her assistant and then sent me home with a nervous smile. I figured she had sent me home because she had assessed that the new indentation she had created was not deep enough to require a filling. Surely, she would not choose to ignore a problem, putting a patient's health at risk, in order to save face, correct? Wrong. Every now and then, I would feel a small pain in the indentation whenever I'd eat hard foods. It was barely noticeable, so I figured I'd wait until my next appointment (a cleaning 6 months later) to see if it went away on it's own. It didn't. So 6 months later, I came in for my cleaning and usual check-up. She took some new x-rays, reviewed them, and then checked my teeth. Then she said everything looked fine; no signs of cavities, again. I went home and noticed my indentation was particularly sensitive after the cleaning and decided to schedule an appointment to finally get it fixed. I brought her attention to the indentation and she said she would put a filling in, but not before shaving it down some more. On top of that, she said she'd redo the filling she had put in previously on the other side of my tooth while she was at it. I asked why. There were no signs of infection, no cavities. So why did it require shaving down? And why redo the old filling, which was fine? She then rolled her eyes at me and said "I'M the dentist. I KNOW what I'm doing." and then she proceeded to giving me anesthesia and doing the filling. During the procedure, it hurt whenever she'd shave down the indentation. I brought it to her attention, and she said "It's all in your head." and continued to shave down my tooth. After the procedure, I noticed that half my tooth had become filling. She had joined the old filling with the new indentation she had made last time. What had once been a tiny, superficial metal filling on one side of my tooth had now become a deep filling that was 5x's the size of the old one and that encompassed half of my tooth. But I didn't mind, so long as it did not hurt anymore. But it did. And even worse than before; to the point where I couldn't even eat on that side of my mouth anymore. So I finally switched to a new dentist, and brought my old x-rays and let him compare it to new x-rays he took in his office. He was shocked to see how much of my healthy enamel she had shaved down - she had shaved my tooth down all the way down to the pulp, which is where all the nerve endings are. And he also said that the metal filling I had in the first place was fine and that it should not have been replaced. So basically, I had an unnecessary procedure done, during which she shaved down my tooth far too aggressively, and what once was a healthy tooth had now become irritated and inflamed. We're now working to save the tooth with a medicated filling, but I might end up having to have a root canal if the pain doesn't settle down. Again, I understand that we are all human and we all make mistakes. I would never hold that against someone. But I do not condone pushing for unnecessary procedures, ignoring ones mistakes, and putting a patient's health at risk in order to save face. That is not ethical, and I do not wish to be under the care of someone who would choose to go down that route.

I booked the appointment online and put down the necessary deposit. They were running a special for the month of January- 10% off during weekdays and it included aromatherapy. The 10% off did not automatically apply and I'm pretty sure I didn't get the discount. Parking- street parking if available. We lucked up and got a spot right in front of the spa. No paying a meter was required. My massage therapist was Mike and my husband's massage therapist was Kimberly. The couple's room was tight so I could feel, see and hear every time my husband's therapist talked to him or when she moved. My husband felt that Kimberly just couldn't get the pressure right even though she asked. He also felt like she took a break after every touch so there was awkwardly long waiting periods. He said her touch was often too soft even though he told her the pressure wasn't enough. She was pleasant; notwithstanding, she just wasn't the right therapist for him. Mike also asked me once about the pressure and at the time, it was okay. As the massage went on, it became uncomfortable. In all fairness, I should've spoken up. The elbow and forearm down the back and around the shoulders was the most painful. We got the massages on Monday morning and I'm still in pain on Wednesday. This is the first time I've asked for a male massage therapist and boy could I tell the difference. The pressure alone was intense. The best part was the scalp rub and the lavender scent (although there was something mid-massage that smelled like mildew). When asked what areas of focus before starting, I mentioned that I wanted my mid-back and arms focused on because I have carpal tunnel. Those areas weren't paid any special attention--they were simply apart of the regularly scheduled program - upper left, then upper right, then lower left, the lower right, then flip and repeat and end with scalp. This was the process for both my husband and I though he was flipped front a lot sooner than I was. Overall, I wouldn't mind returning if I'm in the area and trying another therapist.
