Dr…read more Bronstein is professional, kind, and courteous, and always takes the time to get to know his patients. When I first started using him, I needed a lot of work on my teeth. I'd been to several different dentists, and always felt like I was being shamed into getting all this work done. But I always felt comfortable with Dr. Bronstein, and after several years and many visits, my teeth are in great shape. On top of that, I've noticed on several occasions that Dr. Bronstein tries his best to help less fortunate patients afford the care they need. I'm pretty well-off financially, so I've never needed any assistance in that regards, but it's nice to know that he's willing to help those that do. As other reviewers have said, the office staff can be lacking at times (it depends on who's working the day of your visit, I guess). But I've never witnessed anything as extreme as what other reviewers have. It's no different than what I experience at any other dentist/doctor's office/hospital. Sometimes you catch someone on a bad day, or you get someone who doesn't know what they're doing, or things just happen to get hectic and unorganized. It's no different than the usual customer service experience anywhere else (especially in this area). The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the customer service is average, which is all I expect it to be. But the actual dental experience (which is what I'm there for, ultimately) is outstanding.

The assistant (Jay) was very nice and comical, which made beginning the visit very relaxing. The dentist (Dr. Ashton) was also very nice and knowledgeable in her practice. She made a few humorous remarks, but maintained her professionalism when it came time to explain the problem, give me my options, and proceed with procedure. My second visit involved getting a back molar removed. There was no pain throughout the entire surgery. This definitely dispels the mythical horror stories you hear about dental encounters. Yesterday, 9/16/2026, I called to make an appointment for another tooth (because he is her assigned dentist) and he told me that he was closed permanently. Then, when I asked him about the post/crown that I paid for, he told me he didn't care and would refer me to someone for services for which I would have to pay. He was very rude and unapologetic until I started to record the call. He acted like he was doing me a favor by taking my call. I'm not surprised that he's closing. They used some shaker machine thing for the needle that my 5 year old didn't even flinch. After waiting a few minutes for the numbing to settle in, they came back and popped out the tooth. My only two gripes are the following: 1) I believe I filled out all the forms online before arriving, but those were somehow lost and I had to use their iPad to fill them out again. Maybe check on the online process to see what broke and why my info didn't come through? 2) I think someone may have called out sick that day on their staff, as it appeared that they were double booked throughout the AM. After being seated in the back, I had to wait 20-30 mins for a dental assistant to come back and do my cleaning. It was worth the wait as she did one of the best and most in-depth cleanings of my life, so please give her a raise! They do not do well at supporting patients with sensory issues or dental anxiety, or conditions like TMJ that make dental visits difficult. With new patients they are kinder, but with every visit I have made they have become less supportive and less accommodating. My last cleaning was extremely unpleasant and I was shamed into not taking breaks over the course of multiple procedures and fittings even though holding my jaw open causes my TMJ to flare. Then there's the high-pressure upselling. For several years, the dentists and hygienists at this practice have been trying to get me to buy a dental-grade night guard out of pocket, even though I had an over-the-counter one I had been happy with. I finally agreed because they told me it would help my gums and that I would face severe consequences if I did not "make the investment." I had to pay $750 (!!!) out of pocket. When the night guard arrived, it was so bulky and uncomfortable that I could not get a good night's sleep in it and I woke in the morning with severe jaw pain on both sides of my jaw. I went back to have it adjusted and suddenly I was being told that having a night guard means sleeping with your mouth open and accepting dry mouth, that jaw pain often gets worse at first, and that I would have to accept some bad sleep in order to become accustomed to the night guard. I cannot stress enough that this was NOT disclosed to me prior to when I made the purchase. Since the practice knew about my sensory and dental anxiety issues, I feel strongly that they should have talked to me about what the night guard would be like before pushing me to buy it. When I explained the above, the practice offered me only a partial refund, which would mean that I spent hundreds of dollars on nothing. I feel my trust was taken advantage of and I would encourage others to look for a different practice.

The Dental Assistants and Staff are also absolutely amazing! Very professional and I was treated with the utmost respect every visit/call. I want to personally thank Arianna. She was there from the extraction, and all the way till I got my crown today. She made this whole experience seamless and she, too, has great chair-side manners! I started my visits at the Hyattsville office in March 2026. I established a treatment plan and…read morestarted making payments on it (the woman that helped me set up the payment plan was wonderful) Once treatment started, my experience went for a rapid decline. I was scheduled to have a cleaning and some fillings first. That was fine even though the assistant seemed to not have much experience doing X-rays. They scheduled me for my next appointment same day and tell me it's for the root canal. Appointment 2 they take me back, no one says much of anything to me, they begin working and when they finish, they tell me I'm done and attempt to send me on my way. I asked how the root canal went, to which they reply "Due to lack of time, we just did the fillings." I did not arrive late to this appointment so because they managed their time poorly, they changed the treatment plan we set up and didn't bother to discuss it with me. Fast forward to my actual root canal in April, or so I thought, they file my tooth down, give me a temporary crown and tell me once the permanent crown comes in "from the lab", we'll set that in place. I called multiple times to get an update to which the reply was always "we're waiting on the lab." By the time my next appointment in May comes around, I still don't have a permanent crown. This is when the dentist tells me once the root canal is finished, THEN they'll send scans to send to the lab and in 7-10 days they will have the permanent crown. Mind you I waited 2 HOURS for them to start the root canal at the silver spring office (where they scheduled me, didn't let me know, and I found out only after calling the office myself about the crown) The lack of professionalism has been literally unbelievable.
