Great local spot for a quick cut! Quality fades for the price. Linda, the owner, is my go to. The vibe is okay. It is not a barbershop and there is no music playing, but it gets the job done. Expect a long wait since they do not take appointments. Other than that, everything is solid. read more

I can't speak highly enough of this shop. My partner moved here from Monterey 6 months ago and this is the first new shop He's gone to get a cut in years (and as such He wasn't quite sure which vernacular to use to describe his haircut). The stylist was great and knew exactly the look I was going for. She couldn't have been nicer and I knew it was a quality cut because it wasn't a quick "cut and go" that you get at some other places. Idk why they don't, but they should take appointments. We're always waiting more than an hour, almost 2, to get a haircut. Last time I went, there was only one person cutting hair and about 6 people waiting. Other than that, they're always super nice! read more

Service was fast, despite being busy. Waited about 15 minutes before sitting down for my cut. I explained the type of haircut (mid-fade) I was looking to get and person cutting my hair confirmed and sounded very confident. The stylist who was cutting my hair had completely giving me a "very" high fade, by this time I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the results of my cut. This was my first attempt at getting a haircut at this salon and will be my last. This salon redeemed my confidence. Exceptional service! It was a cool different way of doing it too - I sat in the chair with it dry, so she just straightened it and then we agreed for the hair trim plan. She did amazing! For only $20?!? No one has ever done what he can do. That is, until I came here to Solinda's Salon. I was SHOCKED at the quality of service and expertise at the measly $9 rate. I got my hair expertly shaped, awesomely faded, and neck shaved with a straight razor, one of my favorite experiences when getting hair cut. Brought my son here to get a last minute hair cut for school pictures coming up. Arrived about 15 minutes before opening and people were already waiting outside. Opening hours said 10am but the stylists didn't arrive until 10:11am. Once they opened we all went in and sat down and people went up in the order that they came. So if it's your first time here pay attention to show as there already and they're all before you lol. The ladies worked quickly and all the guys seemed to be happy with their cuts. My son was happy with his cut. I decided to come back because I wanted a trim for my hair since I damaged it while bleaching it at home. I wanted the split ends gone. I was really nervous because to be honest I've always paid over $65 for my haircut. I'm so happy that I went back because my hair feels refreshed and I didn't have to pay and arm and a leg. This salon was recommended to me by a coworker. The wait on a Tuesday evening was less than 30min. I had her do a high fade one on the side four on the top. Linda was quick and efficient. I've never been to this salon before and was looking to get highlights done to cover my roots that were growing out. I've been going to another place for over 10 years and have felt comfortable with them seeing as they had a color card on file for me. I came in with long beautiful hair ...... i decided to get a perm. My hair is completely damaged and breaking at the root. A week and a half later and my scalp is still itching and sore. They left me with the perm chemicals in my hair for over a hour. I thought that was strange. I should have said something. If you don't need something fancy, this place is great. I got my usual A-line bob, well done with just a little bit of direction. I always like it shorter than stylists are inclined to first cut, but you can always go shorter, not longer; so no complaints there. I came in with my hair still wet from a fresh wash, so the stylist cut and blow dried my hair for $14! I left a $20, which was graciously accepted with a smile. I did not wait to get in a chair, the cut took a reasonable amount of time and the stylist paid attention to my photos and comments.
