Andrew showed up and was very pleasant and professional even though I bugged him with a LOT of questions. lol. Replaced my valve parts and all, tested the system, made sure everything worked properly, and explained it all to me in an hour meaning the call was very reasonably priced. He checked out furnace and said old unit. Went to shop to see if he could get part. Gone more than 30 minutes. Got back and said this part better work. At 4:30 showed my husband broken part. Said couldn't weld or do anything to unit. I started calling multiple vendors in town to get new furnace installation bids. My husband took broken part to friend for help. When returned I'm on a second level up in our home and hear a screaming match in my garage. I walked down and tech was yelling at my husband- appeared to be getting very aggressive. I said why are you yelling at my husband? He said I have to get paid. I said you have a credit card on file-bill us. We asked him to leave. My husband took broken part to welder and Anchorage plumbing and heating fixed my furnace in a hour while Diamond had us spend miserably cold night in house with no heat. Temperature inside next am was 42 degrees. Stay away from this company. Our experience was brutal and they want to charge us $100 more for doing nothing except leaving us without heat. I called 3 times requesting this information prior to my appointment 29 Jan 2025 and didn't appear that the estimate would make it prior to my appointment. I stopped checking my email the day before since didn't think an estimate would be sent at this point. After talking to my wife the day of our appointment I called Raven Electric and she mentioned the estimate had been sent. Our time block was scheduled between 10:00 - 1:00 and asked if the technician would be able to finish during this time frame. The receptionist stated she could not guarantee the work could be finished. I let her know we were going to the airport later this afternoon and would probably need to reschedule. I understand time blocks but was just trying to see if she knew when the technician would arrive to complete the work prior to us leaving the house. Raven did send me an email yesterday that had a basic quote but at this point I stopped checking my email since I'd given up on getting the quote prior to our appointment. I did apologize for the late cancelation and asked to reschedule. She abruptly stated canceling just before your time slot is unacceptable and we'd need to find someone else to do business with. I've never encountered a business before that treats customers this way and throughout my interactions with the receptionist even from the beginning had been very terse at best. Afterwards I located other reviews that mentioned scheduling issues, technicians not showing up on time and appointments being lost. That tells me they expect the customer to be understanding with them but any issues on the client side is unacceptable. I definitely believe with this additional knowledge about their customer service issues I've dodged potential problems working with them in the future.

Asked about cleaning out my water tank (my friend did theirs recently) and they suggested that since there wasn't any discoloring/rust in my hot water, it would not be a good idea due to the age of my water heater and that it has not been done since I owned the house (six years). They are so busy it was booked out two months! Would be smart to book early with them. Two technicians arrived wearing masks and respecting social distancing. Once they serviced my furnace and water heater, they gave me a detailed report and cleared me for the year. It is really refreshing not to be upsold. I will be using Moore's Heating again.
