Can wear socks or not as you prefer. Person at the check in desk was very helpful and also watched all our coats and purses for us which was nice. -s: the room was colder than we expected even with the blankets they supply. I wish I would have brought more clothing to wear. This did not detract from the experience greatly - would highly recommend.
