All I wanted was an apology for an issue that was made worse by Lyndsey. I was excited about potentially getting some relief for my pelvic floor condition. She dug deep into my tailbone, even asking me if I had ever injured it. Saying "no I didn't think so" she continued to work it until it was painful. Now 3 weeks later I have nerve damage that is impacting my quality of life. I trusted her and she won't apologize for what she did. That's all I'm Asking for. That's after spending $250 including supplements that don't work. Do better Lynsey, not all people are created equal. You've damaged me. Can't sleep, can't sit can't walk. I'd give this place 5 stars if the admin hadn't messed up my appointment. I was supposed to have my second appointment with Will within two weeks of the first. When I came back two Saturdays later, on time (she'd asked if I could come at 10:00 instead of 10:15, so I know I'm not crazy), a different admin said I wasn't in the schedule at all. Then she kind of stared at me awkwardly until I asked if she could help me out because, you know... I was already there. I know it was the admin from two weeks before who messed up, but it's nice to at least look like you're scrambling to fit me in somewhere as soon as possible. I was like, "well can you help me out with another appointment or what?" She said she could... On the 28th... Two weeks out. I loved how I felt after that first session with Will. But at $100/visit with tip, I just didn't feel like starting that two-week cycle over from scratch. I don't have the money for scheduling assistants to mess up and put me back at square one. 5 stars for Will. Way fewer for the front desk. I hate leaving reviews like this, but I'm still upset about it. read more

My neck was spazzing for over a week. After trying our a chiropractor and seeing my PCP (primary care physician), I realized I should've done acupuncture first. I had treatments before for some face paralysis several years ago in another state and it was a miracle. I highly recommend acupuncture. Liz is amazing. She asked a lot of thorough questions. With some essential oils and some time with some needles....I feel so much better. My neck spasms were about a 7-8/10 in pain and after one treatment...I feel like a 3-4/10 now. I started going to Isthmus Wellness in July for a help with relaxation and a little fertility boost. Disclaimer: I had never tried acupuncture before and thought it was a little "woo-woo." However, I really needed to relax and figured one go couldn't hurt - if anything, it would be an experience. That first day, I talked with Lisa for over an hour (the appointment was for 90 minutes but I ended up taking 2 hours) - she's kind, funny, and I felt very comfortable talking to her. After my first acupuncture session, she gave me some tips for relaxation rituals other practices at home that could help me achieve my dual goals of ruminating less and starting a family. I went to see her twice before getting a positive! I have been continuing once a week during my first trimester and it is so relaxing. Since I don't have a point of reference for the ups and downs of a first time mom to be (except for the internet - which can be more detrimental than helpful if you want to be able to sleep at night), Lisa has been an amazing resource on this journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a compassionate, holistic take on feeling better in any area of life. read more

I've seen acupuncturist Jahna Cook at Isthmus Wellness on several occasions, and she has been excellent in treating several issues that I feel modern medicine was unable to treat. Recently, Jahna helped me reach a full resolution to a sudden blurry vision problem. After three MD visits, two eye exams and two different prescriptions for glasses, I finally turned to acupuncture to treat the problem. Thanks to Jahna, my vision is completely clear again, and I tossed out the prescription orders for eyeglasses. I discovered acupuncture about two years ago, and in my experience, it has successfully treated problems for which I've received little help via modern medicine. I've even convinced family members to explore acupuncture for ailments, and they've had great success as well. I don't really understand how acupuncture works, but I've seen it work time and time again! I did a few sessions of acupunture, bought some supplements and was good for awhile. then reviewed their protocol with my medical doctor and he thought it all sounded solid, then compared the Perscription for Nutritional Healing and it was very close to what they recommended. Throughout a trial of melatonin, Chandon has been very helpful via e-mail at clarifying where melatonin is produced within the body, and how it should be taken which was also very helpful to my doctor. Having this holistic perspective which includes supplement advice (though a tiny amount of supplements) is very appreciated, as well as dietary advice is very valuable and something I have been looking for for a very long time. read more

I first came to Isthmus Wellness in 2017 for acupuncture with Lisa Littel to address foot pain. I did not know Lisa Littel prior to this first appointment, but after only one acupuncture appointment, my foot pain was gone. This comment is specific about acupuncturist Lisa.After a brief discussion about my neck pain, and her seeing how I could barely move my neck from side to side, she said to roll up my jeans to just just above the knees. I said, "You know my neck is higher, right," she chuckled explaining detail about how the body has several points... (now I'm beyond my area of knowledge so I'll just continue.) She touched the inside of my foot and asked if it hurt there - and I said, "Oh yeah! So she began the treatment and "ouch." A big ouch actually. And actually for literally a couple seconds. She then said, "Turn your head," and OMG...I was able to turn my head and neck pain free. If I didn't experience it myself, I'd be a big doubter. It works. She's great!
