If I can soulfully touch you all with a nightmare of an experience, then I shall. I called to book a combo (60 minute feet and 60 minute back for two people). I asked if they were available around noon. They said to come in at 11. We arrived just before 11 and there was not a person around. We ended up calling the number on the person-less reception desk, and at 11:17 and two people walked in flustered. They rolled their eyes and demanded we were only doing the 30/30 combo. The lady then called the booking agent who then started to talk poop on us in Chinese, not realizing that I speak Chinese. They were shocked when I responded to them and we ended up walking out. 不推荐这个地方. read more

Definitely a rub & tug! Not a spa atmosphere. The smell of fish being heated in the microwave filled the air! $80 for 60 minutes read more

Soleful Touch - Entrance - Massage Near Me - Newport, Rhode Island

What's good: it's cheap What's bad: everything. You kind of get what you pay for. $70 for a 1 hour massage. I have got hundreds of massages, both good and bad, in luxury and simple places. This one missed expectations all along. From the layout, which is rather cramped so you can see masseuses kneading someone else's back next to you, to the paper towels they put on my eyes in lieu of an eyemask, to the actual massage itself. All could be much better. My recommendation, spend a tad extra and go elsewhere. If you're desperate for a massage and can't find a last minute reservation anywhere else like us, this ain't terrible. But I definitely won't be back here. read more

Overall, I loved this massage place. I came to Newport for a work trip and have been meaning to get a massage for a while, as I am generally a very stressed person. I was checking out the ones in proximity to my hotel and Soleful Touch sparked my interest because I love tuina and reflexology. It really was fantastic! read more

This place is a hidden gem and one of my absolute favorites. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the owner, Lisa, is wonderful--easy to reach by text or call and often able to fit me in on short notice. Everyone truly knows what they're doing, and I always leave feeling completely relaxed, like I'm floating on a cloud. read more

I had debilitating pain in my foot for weeks. After two 30-minute foot reflexology treatments at Soleful Touch, I was back to normal. Highly recommend. read more

Great value! Don't let the front appearance deceive you. Disclaimer: Don't come here if you are looking for luxury but if you want a great massage then you are in great hands (ha-ha). My bf and I came here after we have been walking around RI as tourists and also after participating in the Jamestown half marathon Rhode race. I had one of the male masseuses for my foot and back massage. I typically have sports massages (deep tissue) so I wasn't expecting this massage to be on par with an athletic massage but let me tell you, he was! read more

Amazing massage service for my wife and I. We came from NH to Newport for our 25 year anniversary and stayed at Hammetts Hotel, we walked to the venue and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and got straight to work. We enjoyed a 45 minute back and 45 minute foot. We felt pampered and so relaxed upon leaving. Would recommend again and again. read more

Cameras, recording during massage are taking place, before and after. Please use caution when coming here. My fiancé and l were at the Wyndham Long Wharf in Newport, Rhode Island, which I highly recommend. We decided we should get a massage. Within a hundred feet of the resort, we discovered the Soleful Touch Newport, located at 128 Long Wharf Mall, Newport, RI 02840. When I became aware of the cameras, I immediately asked to speak with the manager. Who told me the cameras were placed there because of jewelry theft and other items in the last seven years. When I raise the issue of invasion of privacy and recording people while they're naked. They informed me was a decoy after all. Please use caution. read more

If you've been to places who are solely about reflexology this place will let you down. I'm in the area for a while and this is always a must for me. Soleful touch is in a prime location where all the action is. As far as parking be ready to pay if you find a spot. Overall I was able to book a same day appointment which was a huge plus. The price for an hour massage was $50. The location seemed clean enough but the overall ambiance was not inviting. The location/building needs an update. read more

Great massage and great deal! We went in for couples massage combo of back rub and foot reflexology for $70 pp! They ended up doing a full body massage from head to toe. They would soak your feet in hot water first while doing your head massage so be prepared to wear bottoms that can be pulled out to your knees. They also include hot stones on your foot massage. Def would come back here every time! read more

Place definitely is not what you expect. I went on vacation when i had some extra time. 4 rooms separated by curtain. However, I proceeded with my 60 min back massage. I asked AG to focus on my shoulders and back, and he over-achieved! Truly best massage I have ever had. Would return. Very friendly staff that clearly want to work hard and do a good job. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because it was a little weird to be able to see other people getting a massage on the way out given the curtain. read more

Had a full body message today with Irwin and it was absolutely amazing! Have not felt that relaxed in awhile. He really focused on messaging my knots out of my back and I appreciated the focus! If I didn't live in Phoenix Arizona, I would come to him once a week!! read more

Only reason for the 1 star is because my husband thought his massage was good. As for me, it had to have been the worst massage I'd ever gotten. The massage initially started with a woman and quickly changed to a man. I'm assuming because they had customers who were scheduled for certain massage therapist? Regardless, I was more tense coming out of the salon than I was going in. There was no ask about pressure, at least a couple of the therapists couldn't speak English so it was difficult to communicate, and worst of all, I ended up with three bed bug bites on my leg!!! I would absolutely not recommend this spot! read more

If you're looking for a nice massage spot in Newport and don't want to break the bank at a hotel spa, look no further. Had a very nice and relaxing back and foot massage. Highly recommend! read more

Well priced for the services offered, they were quick and efficient. How we the space only has multiple hanging panels for privacy instead of rooms so that can feel a bit awkward. Also their technique was a bit more intense and deeper than I would prefer. read more

I love this place! i also work in the massage industry and I have had many, many sessions here and each therapist I have worked with is quite skilled and obviously knows the human body well. The 90 minutes of Tui Na and Reflexology combo session is my favorite! Everyone has always been very kind and accommodating. 10/10 read more

This is a good choice. Massage was very relaxing and good price for the area! Walking distance from brick alley.

Was hoping for a little relaxing break from all our walking but it was extremely loud during our whole massage. Then twice the man left in the middle of my massage to take a phone call and help customers who came in. There should be a front desk person. I paid for an hour massage and it was interrupted twice. Also the massage itself was not relaxing. It was very aggressive and actually hurt read more

Really bad. Like took a week to recover from this beat down bad. Did the 30 min foot 60 min back. Was a mistake. Stick to feet only....

Excellent service and very calming atmosphere. I'd recommend getting the full massage including the foot massage.

I highly DONT recommend this place. My husband and I went in for a 60 mins couples massage and as soon as we arrived they rushed us into a room with no walls only thin curtains. We could hear everything that was going on in the other rooms. They told us to strip but they stood there and watched as we did it. The massage itself was okay but far from relaxing. After they finished, they asked if we wanted 30 more mins and we said sure. It ended up costing $100 each for the 90 mins- not bad but then they REALLY pushed for a tip. We left them $10 but while they were checking us out they had already called the owner and they made us talk to her so that she could convince us to give a bigger tip. We said no and after much more pushing on her part, she gave up. It's sad because we love Newport and all it has to offer but we won't be going back to this establishment. read more

This is a gem of a find in Newport. It's right on Long Wharf, next to the Newport Harbor. Your feet, legs, torso, back, and neck are massaged, and each pressure point is given attention. This type of massage is relaxing, and it's healthy for your immune system. I felt so good after this massage that I am going back in three days for another reflexology treatment. My whole body felt so good after today's treatment. Free parking is available on the street on Long Wharf off-season, but that doesn't start until November 1st. I discovered today that if you make your first left into the small marina and wind around that parking lot, there are several reserved spaces for Soleful Touch. This made today's visit even better. Look for a Groupon special when you try this place. read more

This place is great. It's a small business and they really do a good job of accommodating you. Oh and the massages are fantastic!

My wife and I came, it was wonderful -- we had a couples massage. They have both male and female masseuses, and it was great for us, as I like to have a bit more pressure. Quick tip -- instead of actually getting the Groupon, I just called the company and they gave me a little better deal. They are great! read more

Being an athletic guy, balancing budget with quality can often lead to disappointment when it comes to massages. This place knocked it out of the park, though! Prices like this ($70 for my treatment, plus $20 well-earned tip) in Newport? Uh yeah, I'll be back. Enough on prices... the massage itself: I got 60min with the oil/hot stone included. My provider's name was Jessica; and though she was on the small side and on the 50+ side, she had the strength, stamina, and technique to sustain 60 full minutes of effective treatment. So many providers get tired when dealing with clients who ask for "hard" pressure, but not Jessica! It was a standard flow for the service requested, but barely any of my 60min was filler time (eg lazy sweeps not doing anything for anyone), and she kept constant contact except for when she went to fetch those lovely HOT STONES. This was a massage that sent me straight home to my fridge to drink a quart of water to help flush my system out after she broke down my muscles so effectively. I will say it would've been nice to get a drink of water onsite, but perhaps with COVID they've suspended that practice for now. Not a big deal. The scene... semi-private separated from other clientele by curtains. There were at least two other people getting treated at the same time as me, but there was no noticeable noise, and I was focused on relaxing to let Jessica do her work on me. Good enough for me. Thanks ST for a 10/10 experience! See you next time. read more

As a person who works on their feet all day, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to give their feet a little pampering. The owner, Mary, is very friendly and very welcoming. Staff makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. Massages are done in a semi-private room separated by a set of screens pulled to divide the room in half. The setting is not overly luxurious, but clean and comfortable. You start with some calming music to wash away any stress and outside noises. Your feet are placed in a bucket of warm water to soak while the massage starts. Head, neck, shoulders and upper back are worked on before moving to the important part...the feet. If you have not had a Chinese Reflexology Massage before, you MUST try this. Unlike other massage, you will remain fully clothed for this type. One note: I would recommend loose clothing and remove jewelry, bracelets, watches, etc. Pants that easily roll up to the knees will make the massage easier. Traditional Chinese Reflexology is a therapeutic style of reflexology based on the principles of Chinese medicine. Thorough a deep and invigorating massage of the reflex points on your feet, Traditional Chinese Reflexology helps to balance the flow of energy throughout your body. Skeptics can say what they want, but my feet (and whole body) haven't felt like this in years. I left relaxed and a very energized. With rates starting at $49 for a 1 hour massage, you can't find that anywhere. Worth it to "realign yourself" and pamper you feet for an hour. read more

Feel great! I was having some back pain and it was starting to get late, most places were closing but this place is open later, so I decided to give them a try. The cost is affordable and the place is private enough for a massage. An hour later and I feel great! Next time I'm bringing my wife so we can both relax and get some of the tension from day to day life messages away. When I'm back in Newport I will be returning to this place. read more
