It started off quite well - 3 minutes into the massage my headache was gone. Twenty minutes or so in, the old lady asked if I wanted 90 minutes instead of just one hour. Because so far it had been one of the best massages ever, I agreed. She informed me that it would be $40 more, to which I quickly agreed. About 35 minutes in, the doorbell rang. Someone else answered, and less than a minute later the other employee shouted a question to my massage therapist. SHE BEGAN A FULL FLEDGED CONVERSATION WITH THIS PERSON. Never mind that I was on the table, naked under a sheet, and in the middle of what was supposed to be a 90 minute period of time for me to relax. At about the 50 minute mark, she said to me "No more extra 30 minute, I busy." Quite pissed off, I pointed out that I was there first, which she ignored and repeated "Sorry, I busy." What could I say or do about it in that position? Nothing. On the way out she tried to smile and offer me a bottle of water. I said no, and repeated to her "You should take care of the person who was here first", and continued on my way out, extremely insulted. She ignored every word I said and tried to stop me, saying "Tip, tip tip." You've gotta be effin kidding me. After that level of disrespect? Absolutely not. There is no way for me to know if this was a skin thing or just awful customer service, but either way this place will never get another dollar from me. That was completely disrespectful. read more

If you need a deep massage to address cranked up muscles, this is the place. No frills and not a spa like atmosphere, if that is what you are looking for But the therapists are strong and thorough. You can hear the phone ringing or other noises sometimes. Just FYI. read more

Walked in and selected service. Had to pay up front. The phone rang while my transaction was going through and they wrote me off as my card had no funds. I asked them to try again and showed them my account. I had cash but mentioned to receptionist wanted to use for tip. She was appreciative and very kind. It was the lady from the back came up front and rushed me out the business very rudely acting like I was trying to rob them. Absolutely disgusting behavior. DO NOT GO THERE GO 2 DOORS DOWN. I came in to try this place out about 1.5 hours before closing time. The front desk person was rude. She was very concerned about the time and I mentioned I only wanted a half hour or 45 minute massage - plenty of time before close, but she kept scowling. When I asked again if 45 minutes would be ok because she sincerely seemed upset, she mumbled something and I said I'm just going to go to the massage place next door. She seemed relieved. What an odd exchange for a business providing a service, she seemed happy not to check me in or to have to work. My takeaway - regardless of what the front desk person had going on in her life to be that rude and unwelcoming, I know this for sure... I definitely don't want that negative energy during a massage. So my front desk exchange was so bad I left without ever trying out this local place. Shame, but I def won't be back. read more

I called 1/2 hour in advance and asked if they had availability and luckily they were able to fit me in. For those of you who get regular foot massages, you know that these places are not day-spas where you can lounge around in a robe while drinking champagne. They are here to work those knots and send you on your way feeling like jello. Which is all I want. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the place looked and smelled. I was greeted by a tiny lady at the desk and I requested a foot massage. I was then taken to the back where there were only two massage chairs. To give us some privacy, she closed the curtains around the chairs so that we were not disturbed by customers coming in or walking by us to get to the rooms with massage tables. When the lady started the massage, I was wary that this tiny lady wouldn't be able to work out the knots, but I was impressively surprised. To top off my experience is how the towels smelled freshly laundered. It's the small stuff that does it for me. This place will be my go-to place. The people are very friendly. It's conveniently close to the blue line so I can easily stop by on my way home, especially on those rough Mondays. I would recommend for people to call ahead to see there is availability as they only have 2 foot massage chairs and from what I can see, maybe 2 tables. read more

My first time, lady was nice, but she kept leaving me while getting she was giving me a massage to take care of customers at the front, it happened through out the entire massage, then she put hot stones on my back and they were too hot!, it was only 30 minutes, but after I got up I felt extremely dizzy, sometimes she massages too hard and intense and believe me I like a deep massage, but not like that, as I tried to get up my waist on the left side started hurting, never felt pain like that, I couldn't even get dressed because of the pain, made it to my car limping, hope the pain goes away. read more

My wife and I made a first time appointment for a 90 minute couple's massage with Soleful and had a very good experience. Nice quiet room (with two tables) and both therapists were very polite and professional in their work. The whole place is fresh, well lit and clean. Soleful Massage is a great place. The environment is relaxing and clean. They provide an excellent massage.

We walked in without an appointment and were able to be worked on immediately. It's not fancy but clean. My daughter and I each had our own room and the tables were wide--our masseuses climbed up on the tables for parts of our 30 min massages. For the price ($40/30 min) it was well done. Very different vibe from the foot place a couple of doors down. The women we worked with had limited English but we were able to communicate. My masseuse was a little too strong at times but would be more gentle when asked. I do wish she had turned me around--she only worked on the back of my body. That being said, we'd go back. read more
