To say that the experience I had on release day for the Jordan 17s on February 16th was subpar is an understatement. This was a prime example of retailers who only care about the bottom line and pay no attention to intangibles like customer safety or security, customer service or customer experience. There were a lot of people waiting for these $225 sneakers. When Solefly opened, there was a crowd around the door and little to no consideration was given to security/off duty cops, or any employees working to organize or tame the crowd. There were men women and children tossed into this mix. Coupled with people blatantly skipping the line, customers waiting for hours in the sun and the cavalier attitude of the employees when these concerns were brought to their attention. It was a recipe for disaster. When police did show up, they stayed for a short time then left. I waited for 6 hours before entering (many people waited longer) without any word from a Solefly representative as to why the slow process, or updates or any communication whatsoever. When you finally get inside your greeted by about 8-10 employees standing around chatting it up and your left wondering why nothing was said to the hundreds who waited outside. Personally I will think twice before patronizing Solefly again. read more
