My parents purchased solar from a HORRIBLE company that sounds a lot like 'SunFun'. After they passed away, and the house was sold...we were STILL making the monthly payments for over a year!!! That SunFun organization REFUSED to transfer the solar to the new homeowner, and eventually stopped taking or acknowledging our calls. It wasn't until we had to threaten the new homeowner with a lawsuit that SunFun finally transferred ownership. Due to this, we could not trust any of these solar companies...that is, until Kevin Bedard came to our home, and explained everything in great detail to my husband and I. He took the time to hear about our concerns, and he showed us how he truly cared. That same week, we spoke to two other families who shared their positive experiences about Ambrose Solar that made us feel that we would be in great hands. We had FINALLY FOUND A PEACE about getting solar on our home; KNOWING we would be in good hands, and we were ALL IN. Any home renovation project has bumps, and this one had its fair share: after initial install they monitor the systems production remotely to see if it's doing what it's supposed to/expected to, and my system was initially under-performing. They caught it and sent out a team to problem solve it, which took a couple tries, but they didn't drag their feet, they kept on it and kept at it and got it resolved. It was no fault of theirs, just a technology glitch. Core fear was that they would give up after a couple failures and leave me following up with them to get it done, but I never had to worry about that. I also did not end up liking where they placed the control box- it was something that was going to make future maintenance of my house trim problematic down the line. They willingly moved it up a few inches for me (and my only complaint was the team that did that didn't patch the original hole as efficiently as they should have. If I had understood the box placement better on the first pass that would never have happened, so this is a bit of a complaint of my own making.) Jon Landsman, who sold me the system, stayed with us the whole time tracking the project, checking in, and following through on every detail, every question, every concern. He never made me feel like the demanding diva that I am, was always prompt and gracious! The bottom line is that start to finish, even with a few bumps in the road, I have zero question that this is a company that legitimately cares about doing what is right. The culture of deeply valuing customer service that they have built is unmatched by many businesses these days. I am SO pleased, and SO impressed, and I can promise that you will be too!

ES solar did a great job from start to finish…read more Brock did a great job describing the project and the process to get the subsidies from SMUD and PG&E. As explained by Brock the project required permits, approvals and building inspections that add months to the timeline but ES Solar oversaw all the permits and approvals and sent a technician to every inspection. ES Solar staff kept in touch and updated on all the progress. Since the system was commissioned about five weeks ago it has operated flawlessly. My first SMUD bill showed a 80% reduction in kWh from the same month last year. I received the subsidies from both SMUD, PG&E plus a $1000 from Tesla. I highly recommend ES Solar if you are considering a Tesla battery installation.

Writing this review after 2 years of experience with the system that Kyle and his team installed…read more I wanted to give it some time to gauge how much it produced on an average year and to go through all the seasons. I have to say I could not be happier with the system and the support we were given. Starting with the consultation that we were given prior to purchasing. Kyle and his team were extremely professional, they walked us through all of our options, and were at the ready for any follow-up questions and concerns we had. It was a few weeks from the time we first engaged to the time we signed the papers due to taking time to do my research on other companies and rates etc. During that timeframe, their team was fully available QandA and recommendations based on our specific situation. They got us a super good rate for financing and it was completely painless. Once we signed the papers they helped fast-track the application through the electric company so that we didnt have to much time lost in between purchase and install. As soon as everything got approved Kyle and his team came to the house for the installation. They showed up with an army of guys. All of them were super professional and helpful. They were very respectful of our house and property and make an extra effort to not do any damage to the roof with ladders and boots. They made quick work of the installation. I think it was only 2-3 days. We felt super confident with that team as they were all very knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions we had. Once the system was fully installed, Kyle spent time with us to show us how to work everything and get the app hooked up so we could start to see our solar go to work. After 2 years of our system being installed, we could not be happier. With triple-digit summers and AC running most days we still have not had to pay any electrical costs to PGE beyond the service fee of 30 bucks a year or so. Prior to this system being set up we had bills in the summer that reached 700$/month. Those savings in the summer alone is worth the price of admission. The app is awesome as well and helps us track our usage and production so that way we can always make sure that we aren't risking using too much in the summer. The product is amazing, the team is amazing, and the service is amazing. I could not recommend this company enough. It is saving me thousands of dollars a year on my electricity. These guys are the real deal.
