I received a reasonable quote for a SINGLE ROOM ceiling 14x17 and poorly chose to work with Victorious. He showed up 30 minutes late - outside of the hour arrival window. He showed up NO MATERIALS for the job. He did not pull the tarp that was pinned to the ceiling to assess the drywall work necessary. He spent almost 2 hours going to the store 10 minutes away for basic materials: drywall, tape, mud, etc. When he came back he removed the tarp and saw the split stud and then called me to ask if I was okay with sistering it before starting the drywall, to which I ok'd. There was insulation that needed to happen unexpectedly and after asking him if that could be added to the job, he quickly agreed. He came back more than 2 hours later with a 2x4 and insulation. He later blamed me as the reason the job started at 3:00pm when the original start time for work was 9:30am. TO BE CLEAR, Victorious DID ZERO WORK. He contracted a fantastic man to do everything - this man walked me through step by step what he was doing and why and did a WONDERFUL job. I will NEVER recommend Victorious. We have been needing to paint our home for a few years now. We were going to do it ourselves but…read morenever got to it. Little did I know that was going to be a great thing! Before spring, sprung, I started my research on painting companies. I narrowed it down to 3 companies to check with/interview after reading reviews, checking out websites and Facebook pages. From those three Shane at Performance Painting was one of the first to make time to come out to provide a quote. He took the time to explain in detail the work that would be done including caulking, sanding, back rolling to name a few. He let me know up front the paint they would be using (Sherwin Williams) and provided the option to use their standard go to line or upgrade to the Duration line at Sherwin Williams. I asked for a breakout of other tasks needing accomplished as well. To create a menu if you will of all the things we would 'like' done and see what we may be able to add. In the end Performance Painting washed all concrete including the driveway in the front of the house. Installed new window trim and corner boards around the house as we had 1972 slats that went the height of the home and wanted to see more modern frames around the windows instead. Stained our deck and our fence. I have worked with my fair share of contractors and tradespeople over the years. I must say this was one of the best experiences. The work is high caliber. Exponentially better than I would have ever done. I bet they used a case of caulking. The house was speckled and touched everywhere. Great attention to detail. Crisp lines at every transition of color. It's everything we were hoping for. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. We have already provided two referrals, one of which already scheduled for later this summer. The team has eagle eyes and surgeons' steady hands. They are friendly, clean and polite. Shane's number has now been saved to my contact list and is hands down my go to for painting without a doubt. Piece of advice... don't wait to contact them. They will book up... FAST! Thank you to Shane and your crew for all the expertise! I truly feel they treated our home as if it were there own.

Each of his crew was very respectful and demonstrated excellent craftsmen-ship. Shane's pricing was very reasonable and fair. He did a great job explaining his process and I can attest that his customer service and pride in workmanship was equally impressive. Great pricing, excellent customer service, and a beautiful finished exterior on our home cannot be beat! We will use Performance Painting again and recommend their services without any hesitation. We chose Refined Painting for our exterior because of all their five-star reviews, and…read moreunfortunately, it's a decision I will forever regret. The actual painting was good, and the crew was very nice. But they left our property covered in lead paint chips. We spent about three weeks cleaning up, and because we couldn't get all of the chips, we ultimately (by recommendation of the state) had to remove the top layer of soil from much of our yard, bring in new soil, and redo the landscaping in an effort to contain the contamination. When we first noticed the chips and contacted the owner, he said that his workers said they did follow protocol so he doesn't know how it could be so bad. Then he suggested we shouldn't be so upset because our property was probably already contaminated from previous paint jobs. They then offered to use a leaf blower to clean up the chips--which would have simply blown them into other parts of our property or our neighbors' yards. Afterward, I researched Washington's lead-paint requirements and found that there are specific training and certification requirements for work on homes built before 1978. My understanding is that the owner had completed the training, but Refined Painting as a company is not certified so the crew working on our home had not completed the training. This is so obvious now, given the outcome. I would also advise against using their carpenter if you need any work done on your house in preparation for painting. It was some of the worst carpentry work I have seen with wood not being properly aligned and bits reaffixed crookedly. Their project manager agreed that it looked terrible and said that they would fix it all but in the end only fixed some of the problems and just left the others and painted over it. Besides the pollution and the carpentry, the painting itself looked great, all the workers were very nice and Jose, the owner, is a great salesman (he could sell you your own shoe). But the way the lead paint was handled left us with a major cleanup and forever worried about the toxicity of our yard and our kids' exposure. Also the wonky carpentry work will need to be fixed. If you have a pre-1978 home and are prepping for painting, I would strongly recommend asking anyone bidding on your project for their lead based paint certification for their company and getting details about their lead-safe practices, containment, and cleanup guarantees. I wish for the sake of my children that we had.
