We switched to solar about 2 years ago and we couldn't be happier with the change to our bill…read more The company during install was amazing and easy to work with. That said, this year, due to storm damage we need to have them removed to complete the roof and siding work. It has now been over a month and it took us emailing, calling;- even after paying, to get put on the schedule. First we were told that they did not understand that we paid, apologized and swore that they would get us on the schedule. Two weeks later and another couple of follow ups. We finally are on the schedule for October. We started this process in JULY. NOT Happy. I would have given them a 1 but it was truly 5 star service for install. I recommend getting solar but make sure your roof is new or close to new before going through with it. At least you will have less of an issue to get service.

Be very careful with Palmetto / LightReach, the deceptive solar company…read more I signed solar agreements for two houses in Texas, after their salesperson told me I should expect about a $0 utility bill after installing solar. I was also told that if the system wasn't enough, they could add panels, and if I sold the house and the buyer didn't want solar, the system could be removed without penalty. My experience was completely different. I am now paying both the LightReach monthly payment and substantial utility bills, and the combined cost is much higher than what I was paying before solar. When I complained, LightReach asked me for written proof or recordings of what the salesperson had told me verbally. When I asked about cancellation, I was informed that the amount could be over $50,000. I am now formally disputing both agreements and filing consumer complaints. If you are considering Palmetto / LightReach, get every sales promise in writing before signing. If anyone has had a similar experience, especially promises about a $0 utility bill, additional panels, or removal, please contact me. Be careful, their sales team may under different company names like SUNRUN.
