I've been going to Solace for a couple years now and I've never been left disappointed. They're always so friendly when you walk in, always talking to you while they do your nails. This salon is under new owner ship from my previous review. John and the other guy always sitting together when you walk in are always unimpressed and melancholy. They found out that I liked Kelly who previously worked at Solace prior to the new ownership. It became apparent that their is bad blood and they tried to make me feel bad about being Kelly's client. It's always very awkward, they talk about their clients as if they can't pick up on what's being said. I assure you, many of us understand. This was absolute THE WORST nail place I have ever been to. It was my boyfriends very first time ever getting a pedicure so I was excited to see how much he'd enjoy it. He asked for the cucumber pedicure and right off the bat his tech started asking him if he wanted to add extras like the jelly or hot stones. So of course he got confused and told her that he wanted whatever the cucumber pedi came with. 1. She didn't do the cucumber leg masks with the cucumber slices on it like she was supposed to 2. She barely filed his toe nails and left them jagged and 3. She tried telling us that the paraffin wax and hot stones were not included even though it says in their pedicure booklet that it does. My nail lady even tried showing her and telling her that his would only be $51, his tech continued to ignore her and tell him $61 until finally she got up and stormed over to the boss and he told her she was wrong. Then she came back and completely half a**ed the remainder of his pedicure.... If it wasn't for my tech Amy, we would've been stuck looking like the "Karen" customers but thank goodness for her sticking up for us. read more

Most underrated nail salon in NWA!! I've been going to Solace for over a year, and I will never go anywhere else. Kimmy and Kelley are amazing, the place is reasonably priced for how long my nails last, and they get me in and out in an hour without rushing! I come in once a month to get my dip taken off and redone($40+tip), and by the end of the 4 weeks they still look perfect except for how grown out they are!! Saw Blackie again today for a signature mani/pedi. He is so meticulous and does a fabulous job. Very sweet too. So go see him and tip big! He spent nearly 3 hours on me. My daughter and I have had pedicures at this location a few times. A regular pedicure in the past has lasted on average 40-50 minutes. Today I was done in 15 minutes, from the time I put my toes in the water until polish was completed. I asked the manager after completion and she said this was a normal regular pedicure. I paid $27 for nothing more than a polish change. My feet were in the water no more than 2 minutes and the hot rock massage was no more than 2 min at most. Pros: Open on Sunday, no appointment needed, massage pedicure chairs, Shellac nail polish, easy to get in & out even without an appointment Cons: not all technicians have the same skill level, can be very busy on the weekends I went here for a color change on my toes and a manicure with shellac polish. I had an older woman taking care of me and she just didn't seem to be very skilled or detail oriented. I paid extra for the shellac polish ($30 for the manicure with shellac) but I wasn't very impressed by the polish job. After only 7 days the polish began to chip around the edges and shellac usually lasts for 14 days. My toenail polish also began to chip. Maybe I'll give them another try but request one of the technicians that was highly rated in other reviews. read more

I am from Chicago originally and am just in NWA for the summer. Was recommended Lux but was told it was closed yesterday so me and a friend went here. It's probably the worst manicure I have ever paid for as I could paint my nails better with more even coats. The girl who painted my nails also spoke no English. Pretty young, looked like the owner's daughter. I got the mani pedi yesterday and I'll let the pictures speak for themselves about why it's a waste to go here. If this is good nail service, the bar is set extremely low for NWA especially since it's not cheap here. If you want to pay $20-$30 for a nail job you could do better yourself, go ahead. read more

I went here for a full set acrylics and had an amazing experience. I wasn't pushed into getting more expensive products, which is nice. The gentleman that did my nails was polite and VERY good. My hands look fantastic! He was very gentle and took his time to make sure that my nails looked great. On a side note, I've been to several of the NWA nail places and this is the only one I've seen using disposable liners in their pedicure bowls. I feel like that speaks volumes to their comment to customer safety. read more

I debated on two or three stars. I have been going here for years for their signature pedicures. They have always been amazing...as in hands down, five stars. I would make an appointment and ask for them by name, specifically. They knew me by name. I tipped generously. My issue now is that too many people who did a fabulous job over the years, have left. and apparently, some of the new staff are not up to speed or ability. My experience this last time left quite a bit to be desired. A new girl did my pedicure and it was not anything like what I was used to. When you pay $35 for the signature pedicure, and another $15 for gel...you expect to get something for $50...particularly when you know what to expect. Steps were missed, no scented oil (only the lotion) was used and no real massage like usual. Not nearly as much attention to cuticles and nails either. While the pedicure was ok, looks ok overall....nothing like the spectacular ones I used to receive. The girl next to me getting a pedi as well, was not happy either. She did not get ANY massage and was asking us about it. I am hoping they will get this worked out and return to the excellent service I have always known them for. read more

They excel on willingness to accommodate you past hours if you come in close to quitting time. However, for the price, the quality is hit or miss and it takes FOREVER to do nails and pedi. If you go, you can improve the service by giving them feedback as they go if they need to fix something. read more

I just read all the other reviews and I am very surprised about how negative they are. I have been going to Solace for the past year and Kelly the Owner does my Gel Manicure for me. My nails have never looked better. Kelly is very consistent and always does a great job. I have been to other places that where neither clean not consistent or friendly when you walk in. I'm a positive person so I don't like to be critical, but it broke my heart when I saw a little 4 year old girl who was next to me getting her nails painted and she was told by the male nail tech to "stop talking!" Her mom was getting s pedicure across the room and she couldn't see what was going on. The little girl was just saying things like, "I'm getting big" and was met with a very rude and disheartening response. She put her little chin on the wrist rest in front of her and she stopped talking. I thought she was going to cry. The pedicure and manicure I got was okay but she had me get up two times and my pedicure wasn't dry and she had to repair one place two different times. My advice: don't leave your kids alone with anyone there, and watch out for your own service to make sure it's right before they urge you on to the drying table. read more

Was in Bentonville for a few days and stopped here for a mani pedi. This place is awesome. Laura did my mani pedi and she is the bomb...I was so relaxed during the foot massage that I almost fell asleep! The salon is very clean, modern, and best of all, the massage chairs are amazzzzing. They are literally the best massage chairs I've ever experienced. They massage well, without any pain or excessive shaking/jolting. Just incredible. I had the most expensive mani-pedi with the lavendar scent for $60 plus $12 for Laura, which she deserved and more...wish this place was in my town, darn it!! read more

I never usually go on social media or any type of site to rate a business but this is a must! The owner rushes the employees. Rushes them so much the girl that did my toes buffed my two big toes so much, and so fast the skin was raw by my cuticles. In which burned the whole time she was doing my pedicure. Therefore, I didn't even get the enjoy the pedicure. Which is upsetting because I was looking forward to it considering I am 37 weeks pregnant. The manager also watches over all the employees shoulders & makes sure they charge you for EVERY little thing!!! She is extremely petty and money hungry. I wouldn't recommended this place to ANYBODY! Holy cow!!! $90 dollars of foolishness. I went to get pampered and relax, like ppl do when going to spa. I walked in and there was no one there so they all started barking orders and getting confusing. I spoke with one gal,explained what I sought and she was fine with it. Next thing I knew was that quickly they gave her to another customer. I instructed the man about what I wanted and needed in pedicure. I never got the "Signature" I paid for, someone else had to finish, another was doing my nails and she was tugging and pulling my arm( just had rotor cuff surgery) and explained that. They told me she didn't understand English, I'm ok with that, but the guy next to me did and they all started laughing and speaking in their language. Looking directly at me, plus there were two kids running around and acting uncontrollable. I have a two year old, I love kids, and I have been to salons with kids, but they were so well behaved. It's just a time and place. So basically, my nails turned out terrible, and my toes ok, but the arguing with me as a customer is too obnoxious and insane. Sometimes u get good mani or pedis it just depends on who u get. They don't seen as if they really care abt the massage part. The hair people are awesome! Most of the stylist spend the first part of the day talking a out last nights party and they spend the second half of the day talking about what party they'll get drunk at tonight... I see below that they don't honor their Living Social coupons - they refuse to accept their own gift certificates too! Despite the fact that their gift certs don't have expiration dates!!! I am very disappointed! You have such high hopes for a place but they fail you. The people are great intell it gets to closing time. Me and my friend went in to get ready for our husbands to be home from war. I get a pedi and mani and eyebrows. Well I get a guy who is straight out from school. My nails are HORRIBLE I have one middle on cracking ready to peel off and I just got them done yesterday. They are not even all the way filled. Not to mention I had to keeping letting the guy know he missed a spot and he was getting upset. Needless to say It was not a great experience and I am upset that they didn't take their time.. I agree totally with Cas M's assessment of Solace's Signature Pedicure ($35) with Blackie. He has the best nail technician skills that I've experienced in this area and I have tried at least four other salons over the past eight months.
