I live almost two hours away, but I was in town visiting and decided to get my nails done before vacation. The staff was friendly, and when I left I thought my nails looked good. Once I got home and looked at them more closely, I noticed they were much thicker than I initially realized and feel very heavy and uncomfortable. The tips of several nails were not fully painted, and the technician repeatedly drilled over my skin above my cuticles during the appointment, which was painful. My cuticles have been burning ever since. Because I live so far away, returning to have them fixed isn't realistic. For $73, I expected better quality and attention to detail. So, it's my second or so time being here. The lady who helped me out was really sweet and kind to me. I admired her patience and her willingness to color match with the picture I had in mind. I added the stones on myself so please ignore that. This is 4 weeks growth and so far I've had 2 nails break. Pretty sturdy. For some constructive criticism, they did not have the kind of glitter I wanted but no biggy. I got about 2 or 3 coats of the yellow but for some reason it was not enough because I could notice there were streaks. The nails color and top coat started to chip and got scratched. I have gone here several times and have been satisfied until today. The tech filed my skin several times with emery board and keep getting up on my skin with the drill. My skin around my nails are red and irritated at the of the manicure. he touched my nails to see if dry 3 times and had to redo the smudge each time, despite my saying it's only been 2 minutes since you checked. a manicure should not be painful and this one was. i spent $80 dollars for my nails to end up feeling and looking like press ons. The nails are super thin and the guy was super rude. i went in there yesterday and they already feel super duper loose and like they are going to fall off. i do not know what to do i want a refund or someone to actually take the time on my nails and do them correctly and not ignore what i ask them to do for my nails. if i'm going to pay 80 dollars they better be good, mine are terrible. i asked for a square set with lime green flames, i asked him to do two coats cause u can barely see it and he didn't and he also gave me almond which i didn't ask for. do not go here. read more

Be careful of this salon. They add extra fees that you did not use OR ask for and then say you did. It is extremely frustrating. The pedi chairs do not work well at all and are worn out. I always order the pedi package that covers with extra massage...well they charge for the upgraded extra and you may get 5 -6 more mins of a half-hearted tickle. I would not make this my go to salon. I'm wondering what is the point of scheduling appointments if you don't honor the appointment? Yesterday I scheduled my appointment for today at 12:00 which was during my lunch break, however I had to wait until 12:33. Luminous has been my nail spa of choice for 2 years and I've often referred family and friends. However today I was treated as if were a walk-in customer. My time should be valued and respected but that was not the case today. I don't usually leave reviews but I am today with the hope that they can improve. Under new ownership. Not good!! Been 4 times now under new owner and it has been frustrating every time! We make appointments so we can plan our day. The concept of an appointment is completely lost on the staff. They just tell everyone yes and then you show up at your appointed time only to find out you have to wait another 15-20-30-40 min because they are too busy. Meanwhile walk-ins are taken at the same time as your appointment. I would much rather you tell me you don't have space or staff at that time and we pick a time you can deliver on your commitment. I understand not wanting to tell a customer you can't serve them but this experience is far worse. That said the salon is clean and inviting, staff is always polite and quality of the ail techs and services themselves are great. Too bad that yet another days plan has been turned upside down because of their inability to be up front with customers on timing and availability. Appointment or not you will be treated like a walk in. This was our favorite salon but no more we do pedicures to relax and this creates stress. I went in to get a simple mani pedi. Nothing special, just the regular. They were not busy at all. I was in there for 2 hours... my pedi took a while which wasn't that big of a deal, but my manicure was bad. It took FOREVER. The girl doing them was SO slow. She put the polish on super thick and uneven to where it dried filled with giant air bubbles and looked Warped and uneven. She stepped on my feet twice underneath the table and i noticed as I was leaving that it had messed up my nail polish on my big toe..... she left dents in 3 of my nails as well... her supervisor had to come over and fix two of them and start from scratch. She was very fast and efficient. The two nails she did look perfect and even a smooth while the rest of them look uneven, warped and bubbly. One still has a dent in it that I noticed after I had left.... I probably would've had a better experience with a different tech, but I just wasted my money on the work that this technician did because I'm probably going to repaint them myself this weekend because looking at these nails irritates me with all the bubbles and unevenness... read more

I scheduled a pedicure appointment for 5:45 tonight, but hit horrible traffic & was 10 minutes late to arrive (I hate being late!). They still got me right in, & I sat in the chair enjoying the hot water and massage chair, but at 6:30, nobody had started yet (they were busy). I let them know that I needed to be done by 7 to get to a meeting (why I scheduled it at 5:45, to ensure there would be enough time), and thankfully they expedited my pedicure and still did a fantastic job!! Today was my first time to visit Luminous Nails Spa. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had in a nail salon! They have so many pedicure options and even the cheapest options come with scrubs and hot stones. Kim did an amazing job with my pedicure and the polish as well. I got the organic powder dip, even though I've had this in the past at other places and it felt too thick, but Hanna did the best powder dip I've ever had! I came here for a gel manicure and was thrilled it was so quick. Unfortunately, 5 days later when it started to chip and peel I realized the quickness obviously was not worth it. 8 days after my "manicure" and I literally just peeled entire nails off. i have had 3 visits with luminous. first visit with my grand daughter was great. i really liked the pedicure i got. the second visit was totally awesome. both times the older ladies did great job. very happy. but the last time, #3 a younger girl did the pedicure and it was totally awful. she only spent bout 10 minutes then said she was done an rushed over to 2 ladies. i did not realize how bad my toes looked and felt tell i got home. she did not even trim the 2 middle toe nails on right foot and three toe nails on left foot were not trimmed. still pointed and long. i will not return. i can't waste $35.00 on such poor job. so if you go there make sure u do not have the young girl try to give u a decent pedicure. gd read more

Came in for a pedicure and dip mani. I'm going on vacation soon and wanted to be vacay ready, and Sunday was my only available day to go in. Thankfully they were open and not very busy. Pedicure was really nice and the chairs are comfy. It was nice to see that they used disposable liners in all the pedicure tubs, and all tools were clean and opened in front of me. The basic pedi also included hot towels and a hot stone massage, which was a nice surprise. I had never gotten powder dip before so that was a new experience for me. There are tons of color options and the yellow I picked almost matches EXACTLY the polish I picked for my toes! Paraffin wax hand treatment is included to finish off the dip service which was nice, and also a first for me. I made a few small adjustments once I got home because I had some uneven edges, but I'm exceptionally picky about my nails so it wasn't too much of a bother and I've pretty much ALWAYS done this after any nail service. The lady who did both my pedi and dip didn't speak much English so there wasn't much conversation, but that's fine by me and she was very sweet and gentle. Overall my visit was a great experience and I will definitely be back! It's also a nice little bonus that they have punch cards and the 5th visit is 20% off!
