I asked her to recommend some new authors that she had in stock to help combat this mandatory self quarantine and not only did she give absolutely INCREDIBLE recommendations, half of them were new and up and coming authors from COLORADO! This bookstore can create a custom literary adventure into whatever genre you're looking to explore and have your new worlds in words shipped to your home or arrange a curbside pickup. This store is a beacon of abstract light in a tough and often laden with boredom current state of existence.

When you walk in, it's full of gorgeous decor and plenty of plants, true to their namesake. There is a lot of places for people to come in and take photos, read, buy books, and enjoy the atmosphere. In the lobby, there is complementary sparkling waters, which I thought was really great as I took my time shifting through the different books. The selection was pretty good. There were a lot of books that were "hot" right now on social media, as well as ones that were hidden gems that you may not have heard of. The price was equal to what you'd pay at a big book store chairs (so why not support local!). They also have a selection of used books that are greatly discounted. The person that was working when I went in, was very kind and gave us some recommendations, and also talk to us about our day. She snapped and claimed we were "not purchasing customers"--which was a blatant lie, considering we had already bought one book and were standing there trying to hand them money for a second one. ​To make matters worse, Angelica's terrible attitude was entirely fueled by petty retaliation. She became angry and refused to assist us simply because I declined their insultingly low offer for my trade-in books. Angelica is completely unsuited for a management role, and the staff's exclusionary, rude behavior is unacceptable. Take your business elsewhere to a store that actually values its customers.

I called ahead to Barnes & Nobel, an employee answered the phone and had the book on hold for us. The parking lot is clean, easy and had lots of spaces. The employees were friendly and helpful but not annoying. The store was clean. It was like a fancy library with all the good books. Of course a kid needed the bathroom and they were clean and operable. So much better than the public library! The coffee shop was also clean I and looked at it wistfully... next time.
