This will teach me from ordering off Amazon The employees at sudden fiction are absolute sweethearts. I received a bent LIMITED EDITION from Amazon that they wouldn't replace... sudden fiction had one more copy that they held for me and It's perfect. I realize this is a manufacturer error but these guys went above and beyond for me in terms of service itself! (Top is Amazon, below is suddens!)

Super cute book store in Castle Rock. Love that they sell new and used books in all genres for book lovers of all ages. Their prices are great and reasonable, the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. There's also a cute little coffee bar area and plenty of seating. And they also host fun little events a few times a year! It's great to see small local bookstores doing so well.

An evening spent here is perfection

Sudden Fiction is a small bookstore with a great selection. It's very easy to order books on their website for delivery or in-store pickup.

My friend made reservations for High Tea at TeaLee's tea house. This is not your typical, run of…read morethe mill, high tea. The atmosphere was amazingly calm and welcoming. The owner herself, Miss Risa was taking care of creating this unique culinary experience. The first service we chose a peach oolong. This was served with a green salad and broccoli quiche. Wonderful! I cannot tell you what the salad was dressed with, but the flavors!!!! The quiche was absolutely perfect from crust to cheesy top. Second service was Yellow submarine. This refreshing chamomile was infused with dried pineapple and mango. The first cup was good, but the second was delightful. The fruit had time to meld with the chamomile and created an epic infusion. The third service was a Moroccan mint. This was just as wonderful as you would expect. We were served an open face curry egg salad and a homemade fermented cucumber on a seasoned cream cheese. The flavors were wonderful. The sweet serving was a blueberry scone with Lemmon curd, apple cake and macrons. Service was top notch, the owner came over to chat with us. We even had a chance to spend time with one of the guides from the local Black History Museum. This was a delightful end to our amazing day! Thank you for the hospitality

What a cute tea house!…read more We accidentally stumbled across this place as we were heading north of downtown, looking for a place to satisfy our thirst from being in the summer sun, our throats parched from walking 16th mall and strolling in museums. As we came in we were greeted right away and sat at the table by the window where there sat many cool antique teapots. We were instantly wrapped by the coziness and ordered a pot of the Ginger Peach Rooibos. As we waited for the freshly craft to brew, we bopped and grooved to the beats of soulful R&B vibing the space. So chill, so peaceful, so relaxing. When we got our pot of tea, we got a little stand with a candle that kept the pot warm allowing us to take our time sipping on tea. We opt for honey with our tea which went really well with the ginger peach tea. It was so good, we ordered a cold version to go. Lovely place with lovely tea!

The used bookstore has become (like the indie record store) a bit of a relic from years past,…read morealthough honestly there's not much love lost for me considering the majority of them were little more than homes for discarded Harlequin romances and other disposable fiction paperbacks. Luckily, a few booksellers have managed to survive the carnage in the book industry, and the very existence of this store is a testimonial to the fact that (hopefully!) those booksellers with something "special" will continue to survive. Despite all of the convenience that Amazon offers, there's just something about browsing the shelves in a store like this that will never compare to anything online. If you love books, it would almost be impossible to leave this place without something you didn't even know existed, but you ended up "needing". The selection is absolutely superb, with particular attention to quality works on history, theology, and philosophy. (I haven't ever seen the full 3-volume set of Prescott's "The Conquest and Mexico and Peru" before, and was drooling over it -- although the $250 price tag had me leaving without it.) Overall, this is a wonderful little spot and I'm glad to see that it has survived up into the year 2015. The skyrocketing rent on South Broadway has unfortunately chased a lot of these small businesses away but luckily Fahrenheit's was able to relocate just a few blocks down from its older home.

Stumbled across this neat gem this afternoon, and I'm glad I stopped in. Such an intimate…read moreatmosphere, with lots and lots of books to choose from. Small selection of records. I love the smell of the shop, it's got that "old book" smell which is incredible.
