The entire team is incredible- from my initial phone call to actually diagnosing my dog to going over the treatment plan. They are so wonderful and I am fortunate to live so close to their location. Highly recommend. My dog, Willie, was very clearly in excruciating pain and I didn't know why. After an unsuccessful midnight trip to an emergency vet- The Miller Place Animal Hospital was able to take Willie the following day. Due to the pandemic, pet parents are not allowed inside but they were SO great with calling me and keeping me in the loop. I finally felt like my dog was truly getting taken care of. We will never be able to thank them enough. **Our other dog also goes here- she absolutely ADORES them. I've never seen a dog so excited to go to the vet before...truly!

I am a very disappointed. of course I had to do the right thing by this woman and pay her back. miller place vet took advantage of her kindness. there is no compassion over there at all. to the one who had the after thought sense to check if he's chipped, thank you. - snoopy is now at home with his family, we are now $800 in the hole for their mistake.

Hence you are hopefully reading this looking for some help or guidance for your beloved pet. Our Kiki came to us as a baby in 2004 at about 1 years old. She has had a few Dr./Vets in the last 14 years here on Long island in the Miller Place NY area and she has developed a few issues in the last few years as she got older. Recently congenital heart disease and a collapsed trachea. She still darts out back after squirrels and deer and barks at the UPS truck, US Postal Service, and all cars as they come down our dead end street. Here she is a week or so ago: http://www.l-y-n-c-h.com/2018/content/2018-12-23_--_EOS_Rebel_T6i_--_8146_large.html But she has started having SERIOUS hacking and coughing episodes and we were having very dark and dismal thoughts about how long or how much of this she could endure or handle. She is losing weight and deteriorating rapidly and it is VERY hard to watch her incapacitating convulsions and heaving. We went to a new vet after the recommendation of TWO of our close animal loving friends and went to the Rocky Point Animal Hospital a few weeks ago for a regular checkup (after some "issues" with the previous vet.) My wife met Karen Kahn, DVM and she reported that she knew we had found a great place for our Kiki's medical needs. Today, after a very uncomfortable and seemingly distressing weekend (for dog and its adoptive human parents) that went through new years for 4 days of convulsive wheezing and no eating, so we took her in for some advice and direction and diagnosis. Kiki was examined by the team and Richard Caputo, DVM who was terrific and gave us very comforting but realistic and we developed a game plan for today and the next days and then multiple options in the next few days. clear instructions and an OPEN invitation to call and chat and figure out what is best for our Kiki! Since we came home she has been restful, has been eating, taking some medicine and cough suppressant. MUCH MUCH better and resting well. (she is exhausted) A big thanks to the whole team and staff at Rocky Point Animal Hospital from our whole family and especially Kiki!

Vet stated,if Mt Sinai had taken him in would have only need antibiotic. Became major issue cost me $3000. and he had to stay over night. My daughter and her child did not have this kind of money.. When I called, for emergency appoint as a client.... MISTREATMENT of my pom..Mis DX. ..Can't be bothed to see my other kitten. Ended up critical. Slander to another vet when I asked for all my 5 pets. Is this what you want. I'm a RN and animal person. This is not a animal hospital but a VETS OFFICE. Could careless about animals but the vet charges.. They charge more than Surgeons for people..Rates are horrible. Care is horrible when you need emergency. Won't help even when your a client. Than trash you for your medical records. Slander your records.. Please this is not a place you want to be. Stated to busy. What to see critical kitten when your a client.....

Dr. Sagel is wonderful, the entire staff is as a matter of fact. It's clear they care more about our babies' welfare than how much money they make. They are all so kind and show such care, it's immediately obvious they are a great group of people. I planned to switch from our old vet in Islip to Jefferson when we adopted our newest puppy, but our older girl Holly was the first to visit when she developed a bad cough. Throughout it, Dr. Sagel & the supporting staff has been wonderful. Everything was explained and they broke down costs for all her treatments before performing anything and never pressured us into anything. Holly even seems to like it there, each visit while she's nervous at first, soon as a tech mentions her name, she would let out a bark to say "hey that's me" and has been actually happy during exams. I also love that they see lots of different type of animals - we have ducks, cats, guinea pigs and small birds, I'm happy we can bring them all here instead of having to go to three different animal hospitals like we used to.

Dr Brian is amazing, Lilith had to get a sonogram and Dr Brian wanted it to be read by a specific Cardiologist he said he would even wait an extra day if needed be because he felt he was an extremely experienced and reputable Cardiologist but what he said afterwards was so comforting he said "I want this Doctor because now I consider Lilith MY cat" I felt so reassured that whatever I had to deal with I knew she was getting the best possible care. I had many questions after the diagnosis and Dr Brian returned my call that day and explained in detail everything I needed to know. I cannot say enough about the Jefferson Animal Hospital I can feel the team attitude and love for animals at every visit.
