We walked in to a live band of jazz and felt like we had been taken back in time. Soiled Dove in Idaho Falls is a hidden gem for those craving hearty comfort food with a Western twist. Nestled in a cozy, rustic space adorned with vintage decor and warm lighting, this spot feels like a cross between a frontier saloon and a modern eatery--ideal for casual dinners, date nights, or post-adventure refueling. Perfect for a date night or just an out of town get away like we had. The drinks are ANOTHER LEVEL. I was boring with a smokey old fashion that left my hair smelling amazing the next morning. The man on my arm got a soiled dove #2 and it was tasty if you like a lot of sweetness. We met someone outside the place named Shawn who was a local there and he said the food was life changing. His go to: the meat balls and feta salad. Shout out to the boss babe who clearly either owned or lead the establishment. Total Sicilian Mob Boss vibes. You inspire me, Sis. Very disappointing experience at Soiled Dove. Our waitress forgot our drinks and we had to ask multiple times before we finally received them. She also spilled water on my husband and the table and didn't offer to clean it up or acknowledge it. The drinks were extremely overpriced -- a simple double Maker's Mark was $28. At that price I could have bought an entire bottle and had a better evening without this experience. To make things more confusing, a gratuity fee was added to only certain people at the table instead of the whole group. The atmosphere also wasn't very welcoming. If you're looking for a fun night out with good service, I would recommend XVIII instead. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we expected for the prices being charged. read more

Cindy, Tanner, and Grant made me feel right at home and recommended several Mescal based cocktails that were simply delicious. Their appetizers and main dishes are equally delightful. We have been twice, first time we were sat next to a large table and we could not even talk to one another the other table was so loud, decided to try again and take some friends and it was early, everyone was seated on same side of the building and another larger table actually in the room across from us were so loud it made it hard to hear our friends, I understand it's a fun environment but it's a speakeasy and should be a lower level of noise and make the ambiance calm. Hidden Gem in Downtown Idaho Falls! The Soiled Dove Speakeasy is an absolute treasure tucked beneath downtown Idaho Falls. With its underground industrial vibe and rich history, the atmosphere is both moody and magnetic. We visited during their Pride event and sat right at the bar, where we were welcomed with huge smiles and amazing service from bartenders KJ and Tanner--both made the night even more fun. They were running a special in honor of Queen Aggie, and the drink was phenomenal--like a refreshing basil lemonade with just the right balance. My friend ordered the Grimhelde cocktail and loved it so much she almost ordered a second--it was smooth, flavorful, and not too alcohol-forward. We shared the fennel olives appetizer (packed with flavor!) and my friend ordered the caprese panini. They were super accommodating and turned it into a salad-style dish by subbing out the bread. The bar itself is full of cool details, including built-in phone chargers--a genius touch you didn't know you needed. I went there to see what all of the advertising was about and see if it was on point and yes, indeed it was. Had a little trouble finding the entrance because it's supposed to be a speakeasy so it's not easy to get into but once you're in, it's awesome. One of the coolest places in Idaho Falls. A hard to find speakeasy in the basement of one of the original downtown buildings. Enter from an industrial staircase to be transported to the 1920's New York City. Enter the bar to the sound of live jazz, glasses clinking, and people chattering in mellowed voices. The only things missing from the scene (thankfully) are the thick clouds of ciggarette smoke and bowler hats. read more
