Park & A Italia is by far the best Italian restaurant in Idaho Falls. I got a Salmon Tortellini…read moredish with a balsamic glaze and I was blown away by how delicious and perfectly cooked the salmon was and the flavors all complimented each other perfectly. I ordered a soup for my wife and she wasn't particularly impressed with it and there was anything else that appealed to her and our waitress was very understanding and provided excellent service. The ambiance was very cozy and had a rustic character with the rough brick walls and string lights. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting high quality delicious Italian food. My only critiques are that the soup was overly salty and that the serving could be larger. For example the tortellini soup only had 2-3 tortellini in it. The same went for my main salmon tortellini dish. It was maybe slightly larger than the size of my fist and had maybe 10 tortellini but still tasted delicious.

I am so exhausted of being ripped off by restaurants like this that write misleading descriptions…read moreof their food to scam customers. They described their scampi as having "heirloom tomatoes" which were merely cherry tomatoes. They sold me a side of "garden vegetables" that was merely 4 slices of julienned squash. "Shrimp and white wine stock topped with beschemel and parmesan" was in reality, just butter. This meal cost me $90+, but tasted like a child cooked it.

On our recent visit to Pocatello for this weekend's marathon, we ate at PV's for our pasta dinner…read morethe night before the race. It was a little challenging to find, as the signage outside reads Uncorked on Main Street, with a PV's in very small letters at the top - and no mention of pasta & vino. Not sure if the restaurant was recently renamed? The location was very nice, right in the heart of Pocatello's Old Town. The restaurant's interior was basic but clean and welcoming. Food was what I would call average. I ordered the large Caprese salad, which came with small slices of tomatoes and mozzarella. Not very large, but well seasoned and fresh. I ordered the pasta with steamed clams. The sauce was creamy, which I didn't expect from the menu description that only mentioned white wine. It was also not very hot. However, it too was well-seasoned and the clams were excellent. Service was not the fastest but very friendly. I would definitely give PV's another try on a return trip.

This is an enormous restaurant divided into two huge rooms. The AC wasn't working in the main…read moreroom, so we were seated in the secondary one, which was very comfortable. Wine prices were more than reasonable, and the menu had a good choice of dishes. Hubby ordered Stuffed Chicken Parmigiana, which came with a side of spaghetti and a nice dinner salad. I had some problems with the chicken dish I ordered, which was missing the key ingredients that made me order it in the first place. I was going to keep it anyway, but the waitress, and then the manager, urged me to let them redo it. When it came back, it had the asparagus and prosciutto it was supposed to have, and was delicious, even though the spaghetti was still a bit overcooked, though not as much as the first time. The excellent service more than made up for the shortcomings experienced at the beginning. It's always appreciated when we're treated as valued guests. Because of this I've bumped up my rating from three to four stars. Every restaurant should be as caring as PV.

Their lasagna is quite good we also love their jalapeño garlic tilapia and the spicy shrimp and chicken. It is chain food and isn't like you'd get from a mom-n-pop type of restaurant. Pros: - Large menu with lots of options…read more Cons: - Dirty - Understaffed - Pizza had almost no toppings - Salad was missing half of it's ingredients - Overpriced This was my first visit to a Johnny Carino's and I see no reason to ever return. Upon entering the restaurant I noticed that there were at least five tables that had not been bussed long after the customers had left. I stood at the reception desk for about 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. There appeared to be only two wait staff and one cook working. I ordered food for carryout. My pizza had one slice of jalapeno and one piece of pineapple per slice for a $20+ small pizza. The Caesar salad on the menu listed at least six ingredients but the one that I received had only lettuce, cheese, croutons, and dressing, and cost $13.95. Prices are very high throughout the menu and the value is poor. Just go somewhere else, like a local pizza place or Italian restaurant.

This was probably the best meal we had while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks…read more We had a day to explore the area and Grok (of all things/places) recommended visiting Victor and Driggs for the day. Kids had chicken tenders and the steak and fries. Both kids enjoyed their meal. The chicken tenders were huge and kid got 3 of them. The steak was about 5oz, which was a decent size for the kid. It came pre-cut, so the kiddo didn't have to handle a huge steak knife to cut it--which was nice. Both came with a generous serving of golden French fries. Fresh cut or frozen, these fries were good! Either a second ramekin of ketchup or a larger one is definitely needed for the amount of fries served. I had the burger. It wasn't fancy--just cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions--but it was a thick patty with fluffy bun with lots of flavor. It also came with a ton of golden fries. My mom had the BLT that didn't skimp on the pork belly. I wish the stores sold thick cut bacon like that. She said it was delicious. Hubby had the lobster roll. The kids brought the purple potato chips were the neatest thing (they were good, too). The lobster roll was perfectly dressed--not too much and not too skimpy--and tasted surprisingly fresh. This place is a little more upscale than some of the other places we've eaten at this week. We were welcomed as we were--shorts and tees. Other guests were dressed casually, not overly fancy. The adjacent museum was a cool place to visit, too. It housed 3 restored Navy planes that were neat to see. Since we're headed home tomorrow, we won't be back, but if we were staying longer, we'd make the ~hour long drive just to eat there again!
