Today, I walked in and wasn't acknowledged by anyone. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and no one asked if I needed assistance. There were only two other customers receiving services, but every beautician completely ignored me. One employee was even doing her own makeup instead of acknowledging that I had walked in. After standing there for several minutes without anyone speaking to me, I decided to leave. As a returning customer, I expected at least a simple "Hello, we'll be with you shortly." The only thing I do not like about EWC, and several other service-based places is when they ask you out loud if you want to leave a tip. It was a little hard to find but her daughter guided me there on the phone while I was lost. Initially it was a little off putting as I thought they might not be as sanitary because the wax was dark colored. I later found out she doesn't use wax but sugar. This process reduces irritation to the skin & is less painful. In my 35 years of life, I have only been waxed once when I was 19 for a pool party. I vowed never to do it again because of all the pain & skin irritation I experienced afterwards. There was minimal pain & absolutely no skin issues after this procedures.
