First time visiting SOI, went yelping around for a threader in the area and came across this location still feeling a little hesitant I took my chances. I booked with Manju. She has the best reviews. She took the time to listen to my wants of my eyebrows and was gentle. My only negative is that my eyebrows are a little thinner than when I first came in. Hopefully some castor oil can help. Went to this location today. Online it said temperatures were checked at the door but mine wasn't. Everyone did have a mask on. I was asked to sit in a chair. Not sure if it was cleaned before I got there. Hand sanitizer was not used before my face was touched nor was I asked to use sanitizer when in the store. The lady threading my eyebrows did not have on any gloves and she touched my hands a couple of times to move them to hold my eyebrows. This could have vocalized instead of touching my hands. After she touched my hands I applied my own hand sanitizer and she told me not to move. Which is understandable but I did not know where her hands had been prior to touching my face. Only precautions I saw being taken was that everyone wore a mask. This place is on the higher end on prices. Wasn't too impressed. read more

Been going to Salons of India for almost 3 years. My daughter and I go here to get our eyebrows threaded. In the beginning I tried different girls but now basically Kawal, Nita and in a pinch Manju are the only ones I let thread my brows. I don't have very thick brows and I found some of the girls would thread them until they were pencil thin. If you have thick brows it might not be an issue but for me it was an issue. Initially I tried other salons but not anymore SOI is my fav and won't be going anywhere else anytime soon. read more

There was no wait when I arrived and I showed Manju a picture of the look I was going for. She was SO quick, but she shaped them perfectly, trimmed them just right, and I was in looove! If you have never tried eyebrow threading you are in for a treat. It is faster, hurts less than waxing (actually, for me it does not hurt at all), and if done by the right person way more precise then waxing... First time trying SOI! Loved it. Such a great experience. I had my whole face waxed & threaded. So gentle and for once had a wax remover (a sort of oil that helps remove all the left over wax on your skin after waxing) applied so I didn't have a sticky face for two days!! AMAZING! I came in on a Saturday, and sat with Premila. She took the time to listen to what I wanted for my shape, and took the time to see the imperfections my brows have. I have a scar the goes through one of my eyebrows (along the bottom, at the very front) that causes a thin line of brows to grow under, and leave a space in my brow shape. Most estheticians want to wax off or thread off this thin line of hair which causes my brows to be very uneven with or without makeup. She worked nicely around this line, and she designed my arch beautifully. This is my new go-to place for brows. LOVE LOVE LOVE! read more

I have been told by many friends for a very long time to try threading for my brows instead of waxing. I was Leary for awhile, since most people say it hurts worse then waxing. I guess it all depends on the person. I've had some pretty painful waxing experiences. Threading was easy! There were some tears. But I expected it, since it's been almost a year or more since I've had my eyebrows done. Otherwise, not that painful and it was quick. The young lady who did mine was quick, good and very friendly! I prefer threading, since it seems more cleaner and less redness after, unlike waxing! As long as I live in Allen, I will definitely continue to come to SOI for my threading needs. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded there for a couple of years and the one person who did an excellent job (Minal) is no longer there. I would look at the schedule online and go when she was supposed to be working, and she hasn't been there for the last several months. I got suckered into using other people since I was there anyway and I always leave dissatisfied. Today was finally enough. Only go here if you want your eyebrow growth from over a year to be destroyed in one minute. I was very clear to the lady to just clean up, keep them thick. To top it off, one eyebrow was left thicker but still too thin, so now I have thin eyebrows that are uneven. She offered to make the other eyebrow even thinner to make them even, but I declined. Scared to make them even worse. I'm so depressed now. She told me she was not going to charge me, so only positive I have to give is that she realized her mistake. read more

I usually go to the Plano location but this particular day the young lady I go to was not working so I opted to go to the Allen salon. I do not recall the young lady who did my brows but it was terrible and the after looking at my brows in the car I noticed blood under both of my eyebrows. She cut me in multiple places under each of my eyebrows. I would not suggest this location. I will never be back. read more
