The waiter clearly did not like us... but despite that, the service was impeccable, which makes me like the place even more. Of all the kids meals we had over the trip, my son's was the best. It was an off menu request: Vegetable Risotto with chicken. His risotto was the best I'd ever had, and for a kid who previously would refuse to eat risotto he ate almost all of it - which despite being billed as a "half order" it was a generous serving. I will mention: My shrimp risotto, while tasty, either needed bigger shrimp or some vegetable with a crunch. As a meal, it felt one note... but everything else on the table was wonderful. The ceviche was incredible. My sister in law got the eel and raved about it, but sadly I didn't get to try it. To start we all ordered the pisco sour, which is one of the country's signature drinks and it was pretty good. I expected something different but this exceeded that. For food I ordered the Drunk sandwich which could've used a little freshness, like lettuce, spinach, or arugula but all in all was good. Over a couple of visits I was able to try: La Enjundia De Diablo, Cotrabando, Temporada, and Pisco is in the air. Truthfully the first two were preferred, more spicy than sweet. The second two were like smoothies with alcohol-also delicious, just hot differently. They were well presented and fabulous. For meals we had the steak and chimichurri, good if you love a big steak- a little too much for us. The beef and lentils were delicious and perfect for a cold winter evening. The next meals we tried were the cuttlefish croquettes which were very good, like a Japanese octopus ball. Great sauces. Then the fish of the day-Hake- with whipped potatoes(I think) and capers with veggies-outstanding. We also had a very good, filling, fish sandwich. I liked the sweet potatoes, a unique touch. The service was attentive without overdoing it. The first night when we came in everyone said hello, which made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was fun, hipster, and inviting. So glad our hotel was nearby, couldn't have asked for a better restaurant to be near.

Before ordering dessert, we were advised by the server that they were out of the mote con huesillo -- in Chile they usually wait until after you order to tell you they don't have it, so this is really good service for Chile!! They offered a complimentary mint liqueur dessert which looked delicious (we saw them bringing it to other tables) but we passed on it. A complimentary drink is also rare in Chile & indicative of better than normal Chilean customer service! Great food, great service! I will definitely be back!
