Even after moving to Warwick, I continued to trek to the stylist in Tribeca that I worked with for years. When the commute began to wear on me, I tried a local salon with excellent reviews and received a terrible cut/color. With a future Tribeca appointment already booked, I stopped into Warwick's Soho Salon for a wash/blowdry. I was greeted so warmly by Joanne at the front desk and my hair looked so great just from a wash/dry, I canceled my city appointment and booked my cut at Soho. That was over a year ago and Soho Salon has impressed me with each visit. I see Caitlin for cut/color, Caitlin and Diana have both done wash/blowdry, and Talia's shampoo and scalp massage is excellent. Everyone at Soho is so consultative, friendly, and professional. Caitlin and Diana are true artists... I don't mean that as hyperbole, Caitlin is a fine artist and her eye for detail and color is superior. Diana's "day job" is doing hair for award-winning tv shows (she is very discreet but I believe she, too, has won awards for her work). Each appointment I'm impressed and inspired by the work I see other stylists doing -- all ages, all styles are represented in Soho's clientele. One thing I hate at salons is being pressured into buying product and I also hate when a stylist doesn't respect how I want to wear my hair and insists on adding waves, hairspray, etc. Soho stylists always ask how *I* would like to look/feel and what products I would like to use, while also being consultative and sharing their expertise. When I've been curious about a new product, they've offered to let me try it in my hair without pushing for a sale and - because the focus is on making sure I'm happy with how my hair looks/feels, when I ask for product advice I end up with someone that is right for my hair type and how I style my hair at home. Being part of the Warwick community, I also appreciate how much Sal (Soho's owner, who is as friendly and good-humored as the team) participates in town events. Went to this salon for the first time Saturday for a blow out for a wedding. Everyone was very friendly & the salon was very clean & had a lovely vibe. Caitlyn was my hair stylist & was not only very nice & personable, but did a fantastic job on my hair! I was very pleased & looked great for the wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Diana S. and the Warwick SoHo Salon. My daughter had her hair cut the previous day at another salon which turned out to be a disaster. Her hair was an uneven , unflattering horrific mess. SoHo salon fit us in right away the next morning and Diana worked her magic to create to best haircut and style my daughter has ever had. Diana evaluated what she had to work with, masterfully working around the uneven mess that had been created the day before. Diana was very reassuring and collaborated with us throughout the entire process. We are very grateful for her professionalism, skill and calming demeanor and for turning a disastrous experience into a cute, fresh look. Nice place and very friendly staff. But i felt I wasted my money and time. I'd recommend not taking in customers if you can't fully accommodate them. I left with wet hair and the color that I didn't want. Also, my hair was so damaged and couldn't style my hair like usual for about two weeks before I got to my regular salon. read more

As a person with naturally curly hair it's sometimes hard to find someone who knows how to cut it properly and who I trust to listen to me about the way my hair behaves and what works best. From the time I called to make my first appointment I felt at ease. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and quick to recommend 2 of her hairdressers who are good with curly hair and I booked an appointment with Raven. On the day of my appointment I was greeted offered coffee or water and seen in a reasonable amount of time. Raven was fantastic from the scalp massage while she washed my hair all the way through the blow out at the end. She listened to my concerns and told me exactly what she wanted to do. I waited a few days to write my review because I leave the salon blown out straight and of course looking fabulous but for me the true test is a day or two later when I do my own hair and wear it curly. Sure enough my hair looked great and I'm beyond pleased with my new salon! I had a really great experience here. The staff was really friendly from making the appointment to reception to having the treatments done. Yesenia was my stylist and she was super knowledgeable and gave great suggestions when I needed them. I took her suggestion of a deep conditioning - one that I had always turned down. I was really happy I took that suggestion because my hair was silky soft for a couple weeks after. It's been 3 weeks and I'm really satisfied with how my color turned out. This was my first time at SoHo's Salon. The place is nice and the people are friendly. Three things I expect from a salon are great wash, great cut and great blowout. Hair wash was a little on the soft side, I expect my scalp to get massaged while washing not putting shampoo and conditioner on top of the surface and not digging in. The cut I'll find out in a month if it's the right place for me and the blowout left my roots and hair in the humid side. I shouldn't have to go home and redo my hair when I paid x amount of money. I can't say enough how impressed I am with this salon! From the initial phone call Lisa couldn't have been nicer, she took the time to match me up to the perfect stylist based on my hair . I was lucky enough to get in the same day . Raven is just amazing .She recommended a hair treatment since I do color at home to remove the build up and listened to the cut I was after . If you are interested in getting keratin treatment done to your hair this is not the place for you. I went in for a keratin treatment, which was advertised and described as a straightening, smoothing treatment. I have been doing this treatment to my hair for over 15 years and I am very familiar with the results of said treatment. I spent 4 hours and $315 for the treatment plus $40 in tips. The next day I washed my hair and it was extremely dry and very wavy. Clearly the product hadn't work, and it left me with very dry hair, stripped from any keratin I had left from my prior treatment done elsewhere. I contacted the salon and was asked to come in so another stylist could look at my hair and see what could have happened. So I came in, met with a different stylist from the one who did my hair. She immediately told me that she would not have done their treatment to my hair as my hair is very blonde and very saturated. She proceeded to explain to me that this was not a traditional keratin treatment, but a vegan product. I asked her to feel my hair and give me her professional opinion if my hair looked like I spent 4 hrs and 315 dollars on to which she said no. She further stated I had no keratin left in my hair . She then stated she would not recommend me getting this same treatment as it clearly didn't work for my hair. As we met with the assistant manager Lisa she offered to have the service done again free of charge, which I declined as the salon's own stylist did not recommend it. I was assured that the regional manager would make things right as they stand by their product and service. Stacy the regional manager called me 2 days later and refused to offer me a refund full or partial, or another solution to this matter. She further stated that their salon does not do keratin but a soothing treatment. Despite me pointing out that all their advertising clearly states "keratin " she refused to make things right. A real shame because I could have become a long lasting customer. read more

Upon walking in you are greeted warmly by smiling faces... the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, not showy and superficial as I've experienced at other salons. As you look around you'll notice the décor is urban chic with a spa-like feel--- warm and inviting!. I came to the salon for a color correction and a change in style. I've worked with both Jodie, the manager and Cassie one of the stylists and they both took the time to explain everything they were doing. Jodie, the manager, is not only an amazing stylist but a true professional. Appreciate the hair advice ladies...I love my new "do". Great remediation of a terrible cut and color (won't mention where)! I went in thinking there was not much that could be done to remedy what happened to my hair, but Jody worked a miracle and I am really pleased! She also showed me a new and easy way to style my curls, which I have been doing since and have received lots of compliments. Love Love Love this Salon. Jodie is the greatest. I have been going to Jodie for 5 years now. I followed her from Monroe to Chester and now Warwick. My hair was a mess thanks to my previous hairdresser. Jodie worked her magic and my hair is beautiful. I get my hair colored, cut and have GK keratin treatments. Recently, I had gone from long hair to a pixie cut. I absolutely love it!. Also, I have two daughters who have completely different hair texture. My oldest has extremely curly hair and my youngest has straight thick hair. My previous hair dresser ruined my oldest daughters hair by using a relaxer which weaken and destroyed her hair. My daughter's hair never grew because her hair had so much breakage. I convinced my daughter to see Jodie. Trust me my daughter gave me a hard time but she finally went to see Jodie for a keratin. Jodie promised my daughter that she will get her hair to grow. OMG! Jodie promised and came thru! My daughter hair looked fantastic, healthy and no breakage. My daughter was completely satisfied with Jodie and has put her all trust in Jodie when it comes to her hair. Her hair is growing and it's healthy.
