New to the area and I have found my new hair salon! Allison gave me a haircut the other day and has brought my hair back to life after an awful cut that was done a month or so prior. My hair feels and looks healthy and amazing. I have received so many compliments since my cut. Allison took her time cutting my hair and I was given an appointment the same day I called. It's bothering me not to update this review. I tried the salon and stylist new to the salon out, she was highly suggested by receptionist, so why not? I was traveling over an hour still since I moved and wanted something local. I looked for days at the pictures, Kate and Laura are great skilled stylists. Basically as I first review noted, after over 300.00 + I left with dark hair. When the owner called to rectify, there was still an off putting, really I had done something or asked for something wrong, but we will be willing to lighten your hair sort of thing. So 50.00 later, and somewhat lighter. I felt at least a little better about my hair not being extremely dark. I enquired about extensions, since the stylist I went to did them at the salon prior; as an option to get back some of the blonde without having to bleach more and add damage. At any rate, samples were to be ordered and I committed to them. I followed up three times, calling, even leaving a message for stylist to call me to discuss how soon they could be done and colors. So, still haven't heard back. This was in January, the samples never came, I wouldn't know no one ever called me. So, I adjusted my initial review because although I paid NYC prices for the color, the owner tried to remedy. At the end of the day not ever hearing back from anyone and making me feel like I had made a mistake and they did me a favor, unfortunately I am updating this to reflect the reality of the situation. I was very nice to all, and paid heavy duty pricing to boot. In reality this was more of adjusting my review then gaining a client, honestly, I feel had... I asked for blonde with streaks for more of a contrast, this is the first time I've come out with very dark hair and made to feel like I asked for it. Wanted to continue to support the local business but not at my own expense. There's no excuse for not calling back, and saying you're ordering hair samples and don't follow through. So I found an amazing stylist that does amazing color and nbr natural beaded rows and was able to have my color corrected and lengthened, mad fuller at the same time. There are not many that do this type of extension, but the are the best and worth the money. I'm blonde again, with a good variety of streaks . I've never been happier with my hair. At the end of the day, admit you make a mistake, exceed the expectations and win back your client. We all make mistakes. read more

Worst experience ever! Went for a color and had to go back for a correction. Not only was it not what I asked for, it was blotchy! Owner assured me she could make me happy. Drove an hour back to the salon the next week. As she was coloring my hair she insisted I get a cut. Basically begged me, telling me it would add so much dimension to the color. Then charged me $55! When I posted a bad review on the Facebook page she was unprofessional, posted photos of me without my permission and talked poorly of the condition of my hair in a bullying tone. Then after a couple of days, removed the entire review. No wonder they have 5 stars on their Facebook page, they delete all the negative feedback! Do not waste your time or money here! read more

Emma has been my wax specialist for the past year and a half. I started going to her when she worked at European Wax Center in Manhattan. Not only does she do an excellent job, she makes the experience way less intimidating. I was new to Brazilian waxes and she definitely succeeded in making me feel both comfortable during the service and confident in the results. Because she has worked in many facets within the beauty industry, she was able to offer me a wealth of knowledge when it came to skin care, and always informed me about notable products I needed to check out. The owner was absolutely horrendous And the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Spoke to me in baby talk and was demeaning, disrespectful and condescending. Described what a salon like experience was like as if I was a caveman and never had a haircut. Acted as if my child (mind you wasn't in the shop) may be in danger if she moved her head and it's a safety risk. Duh try your best to control the situation or take a breather and let the parent help. Common sense?? It's a scissors not a butchers knife. I expect a hairdresser to not stab a child if they moved and cause their demise. Plus just say I don't cut toddlers hair. WTF?? She told me that if my child cried it could traumatize her as a hairdresser and the entire salon. Traumatize ?? Your a hairdresser. This ain't life or death. Nasty on her follow up phone call. No apologize. This is a person in the business 40 years. As she repeatedly told me. Laura the owner is very honest & down to earth and she knows how to listen to what people want, adding her expertise to the discussion. The results are reliably excellent! Imagine a hair salon where you go to get something done and the stylist says that the process will do certain things for your hair...and then....like magic...IT WORKS!!!!! I wish I could give this place a million stars because they deserve it! Not only are they incredibly friendly, and extremely educated on the newest hair processes, but they are honest!! I recently scheduled an appointment at Capelli. I am very disappointed, to say the least, with the way they treated me. I had an urgent family emergency and had to cancel my appointment. I scheduled my appointment the day before I was supposed to go in. Due to the family emergency, I had to call the day of, as soon as the store opened to let them know of my emergency, and had to cancel.They did not tell me about any cancellation fee when I scheduled the appointment and when I called to cancel. Later that day they called me and told me I had to pay a cancellation fee of 50% of what my service fee would've been. The receptionist was very rude and disrespectful of my situation, and even so I still apologized. I am very disappointed with the experience, definitely will not be coming back. Customers beware !!!!!!!! Horrible experience. No one has a clue what they are doing or how to run a Business. On my wedding day they made me wait for a seat. How can you do that to a bride??? This was uncalled for since I had an appointment and they knew it was my wedding day. after being one hour late for my pictures and me in tears no one giving a shit the hairdresser sprayed hairspray in my eye when I was getting my makeup done. Horrible horrible. So upsetting. Wish I could give no stars. I hope people read this and don't have the horrible experience I had. I am not sure how they are still in business. I tried this salon and unfortunately I have to report that I had a horrible experience. Long story short - I did not receive the services I requested. I asked for highlights however I received a balayage that completely ruined my hair. I am now working with a color correction specialist (and have spent approx. $600) trying to fix the damage that has been done. I spoke to the owner to see if she could compensate me, but sadly she refused. I was told that if I came in sooner she would have tried to correct the issue for me free of charge. I explained that I didn't feel comfortable and already went to a specialist. I asked for a refund for the initial appointment or for one of the color correction appointments. When she said no to both I then asked for a complimentary blow out. I thought that we could start from scratch, but once again she refused showing me just how much she did not care if she kept me as a client or not. read more

I never leave reviews for anyone or anything. But what this hidden gem did for me was a life changing miracle. I know, you're thinking how could a spa possibly change your life? Well, they did. I'm one that always waits to the last minute to get anything done. This instance it happened to be the day before my wedding and desperately needed a cut to look somewhat decent in pictures. I've been growing my hair out for over a year and looked like I had a mop sitting on my head. I was praying that someone would be able to take me on such short notice and I was so thankful that they did. I had no idea what to expect I've never been to a professional stylist before. Not knowing what I was getting myself into was an understatement. From start to finish everyone there was pleasant upbeat and personable. They took my jacket at the door gave me a refreshment and went to work. First, unlike any other place I've been, they actually took the time to understand and figure out the exact look I was going for and developed a game plan based on the pictures I showed them. After that I had my head meticulously washed and conditioned. Laura began to cut, trim, thin, blow dry and style my hair so well I literally looked like a brand new person. Almost exactly like the Pinterest hair models I had brought in to show her. They used organic products on my hair which I loved and smelled so good I bought a little for myself. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new style or cut to try this place out. You'll be hooked like I was and I don't trust many people with my hair. First haircut great. 2nd haircut which was supposed to be a trim - I became a test subject for a newly learned technique. A shag with length I was told. So no length left to my shoulder length hair. Chopped up in the back. Let's talk about the sides. One side great the other chopped. Literally. Done with a razor. A huge chunk missing from one side. Just missing! Went in to show her what she had done. Didn't understand what I was talking about. Said it looked great. Just brush it back. Pointed to the other side which was good and she said "oh. I must have forgotten to do that side". WHAT???!!!!! You forgot to do the other side??? Who does that?? I was offered a complimentary blow-out. What a scam. What will that do? It won't replace my hair. So now I walk around with one good side and one horribly chopped side. Hair that is barely touching my neck and I am looking at 3 months to grow my hair back.
