I came in for a nail reshaping because the prior nail salon I went to did a horrible job. I called Soho and they said come in right away and they'll take care of it, which is what they did. The guy I originally spoke to was so nice and got me paired with Tina to fix my nails. She was very knowledgeable by looking at my nails as to what course of action we could take and the potential consequences. But she fixed them and made them look much better! I'm happy. The service is amazing here already! This will be the next place I try to get my nails done. read more

If I could gave 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible service. I waited 40 minutes the first time I came in, and when I returned, I waited another 20 minutes--only to be told I'd need to wait another 15 to 20 minutes. No apology, no urgency, just a shrug like it was no big deal. I'm all about supporting small businesses and local shops, but this place made it feel like my time didn't matter. I get that things run behind sometimes, but the way they handled it was careless and unprofessional. I like to be able to communicate with the people where I do business. I went in just for a pedicure and Kim the nail tech was fair she couldn't communicate with me for me to understand what she was asking. she is a young lady and I don't understand why someone doing business in this country can't manage to speak the language.They all laughed and spoke to each other and looked at me making me feel like an unwanted burden. Then on top of all that at checkout I confirmed the price and paid with my credit card. when I got home and checked the price it was one dollar more than what was confirmed at checkout. Going on vacation this week. Stopped in for a pedicure. The salon is clean. Upon entering I was greeted and welcomed. There was no wait. I picked my color. They don't carry Essie polishes. I picked OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I upgraded to the pedicure in a box, $35. The base pedi is $27. There aren't any cheap pedicures anymore. I remember when you can go into a salon and get a mani/pedi for $35. It is what it is. I enjoyed the pedicure. It was relaxing. I'll definitely be back. read more

Went to Soho on the recommendation of a friend. Walked in and was told it would be about a 26 minute wait which was fine because they have an expansive nail color selection. I spent about five minutes looking for a color and was seated in a chair about twenty minutes later. I waited about another ten minutes while random employees would walk by. The manager ( a man and the only one) assured me someone would be with me. Finally a nail tech sat down and began the manicure by soaking my nails. She did ask if I wanted my nails short. I said I did and she cut them down and filed them. She continued to complete the manicure by cutting my cuticles, putting lotion on my hands and arms and then polished my nails. It felt like an express manicure. After she finished I sat there until was told to move to their drying area. My nails dried and I got up to pay. This is where my three star review comes to play. I gave the hostess a $20 for my $15 manicure and she handed me back $5 which I asked if she could give me change so I could tip. I gave her the tip and then she said I did not pay the fifteen for my manicure. I was so flabbergasted by the accusation I told her I did pay. The manager overheard the conversation and came over. Since other people were wanting to check out they asked me to wait while they counted their cash. I told them I would just pay $30 for the manicure and they said to wait. At this point I was so embarrassed and did not want to draw attention to myself. I left the nail salon feeling cheated and humiliated. Bottom line: pay with a credit card and stick to your current nail salon. read more

This place is usually pretty awesome, however the last two times I've tried to get in for a pedicure, they are too busy. The problem seems to be that they don't have enough staff working. They have plenty of empty chairs. I can't always make an appointment. I want to be able to come when I need to, like I used to be able to do. They really are excellent, when they actually take walk ins. I just wish they would be able to take walk ins again, instead of having to wait awhile or come back. I am not willing to do that. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in terms of customer service. We arrived as walk-ins and were told to come back in an hour and half because they were busy. No big deal, we arrive back at 5:30 pm, and were stuck in pedicure chairs without water for 45 minutes. I asked the owner 35 minutes into waiting how long it was going to be. He said 5 more minutes. An hour and 15 minutes into waiting for anyone to come and start I asked again, and finally someone finished up another client and came over and began to do my pedicure at 7 pm. The manager came up to me finally at 7:30, to ask if I still wanted a manicure. No, no I do not. Not unless I wanted to spend literally 3.5 hours at a nail salon. Went to SoHo for the first time today with my sister and grandmother. Made online appointments for us all with technicians someone recommended. Showed up and they told my sister that the technician she requested wasn't working today. My grandmother and I didn't get the technicians we requested either. I had a great experience other than that. I had Mai for my full SNS set and Lynh for my pedicure. They both did an amazing job. My sister had Lin for her SNS full set. She asked for coffin shaped nails and Lin did square. She continued to ask for more tapered shape and Lin filed the top. The gold foil accent nail she requested had bubbles in it. We will go back and request Mai and Lynh. They also have complimentary wine! Wooooo hooooo! read more

I EXPERIENCED BLATANT RACISM May 13, 2022 I decided to answer texts while waiting for this establishment to open. I noticed a couple cars in the lot when I pulled up, but didn't look at the drivers. I peripherally caught someone walking in (lady #1), so I got out of my car. Lady #2 got to the door first and kindly held the door for me. Although I thought I was waiting in the lot first, I told her to go ahead since I wasn't sure. She told me to go ahead. The lady working the counter looks around me and asks lady #2 if she could help her. I turn to look, and lady #2 once again looks at me and says 'go ahead'. I didn't think anything of it since I figured the worker thought she was there first. Lady #2's friend (lady #3) walks in and all three of us are told where to sit. At this point the first worker who sat us is the only worker there and is working on lady #1 and 3 of us are waiting our turn, but no other workers are there. A second young worker walks in. Right after her, lady #4 walks in. After receiving instruction from the first worker (clearly in charge), the young worker tells me lady #4 has an appointment with her. I tell her "no worries, but to let me know if it's going to take long and I'll try to come back later." She lets me know it shouldn't be long because other workers should be with me in 5-10 min. Enters lady #5 who says she has an appointment. Three more workers walk in after her. Now there are 6 customers including me and 5 workers. The first worker assigns all the workers to a customer but me. After waiting 25 minutes, I look around the room and realize I'm the only customer still waiting even though I was the second customer through the door. So I look at the worker in charge and ask, "did all these ladies have appointments?" She nods her head and says "yes". Lady #3 says, "I didn't have an appointment" and her friend lady #2 nods her head no. So for the first time in my 50 years of life I point at my arm and ask, "so do you not service customers like me?" The lady in charge immediately starts giving orders to the other workers and I see one start to get up. I calmly stand up and say, "You know what? That's okay. Thanks". Then walked out the door. I just couldn't believe what had just happened. I've experienced a lot of racism in my lifetime. A lot! It's been a culmination of being a multiracial Latina moving to the rural south where there we no Latinos, dating/marrying interracially, and just being a person of color. But this is the first time, after living here for 17 years, that I've had something like this happen. I'm sharing this for two reasons: First, to raise awareness that racism comes in many forms. This time, it was one Asian minority to another multiracial Latina minority who ironically happens to have a Chinese great grandfather. Although I'm the first to admit you'd never know by looking at me. Secondly, so people will not unknowingly support this racist establishment. Doing so only ensures it will happen to someone else. read more

Came here very excited to get my nails done for my wedding I was charge $111 for the worst manicure I've ever received. I was rushed to pick out a color of SNS which I've never gotten & that was infuriating. RUDE & ROUGH multiple times I had to say you're hurting me he kept trying to bend my fingers way to far!! instead of switching sides for my nails made me reach across my other arm to get to the side he was on. Didn't clean under my nails And my pedicure polish is horrible. I hate to leave such a harsh review but this man was AWFUL going in tomorrow to attempt to FIX them. It took me about 5 minutes to know I was in the wrong nail salon. They took me-a walk-in-right away and the nail tech promptly told me I should have a gel. I said no, I came in for a pink and white acrylic fill. She said they couldn't do it because my nails were " so grown out." I said I didn't want that and inquired about pricing. I asked how much an acrylic fill is. When she said $50, I got up and quite loudly said, you've got to be kidding. I immediately called my "regular" lady in Kennesaw and set up an appt for her services. By then I did take the nails off and had to wait for the appt but it was so worth it....she did a complete pink and white acrylic set for $45 and I gave her a $10 tip. I made an appointment for myself and my daughters and requested that we all get service together. When we arrived and we seated, we waited 20 minutes beyond our appointment and finally 2 attendants came but no one ever started my service. I asked several times and was told "someone" was coming. After 50 minutes someone came to start my service when my daughters were nearly done. Obviously I declined. I don't appreciate being lied to!! I won't be back!! read more

I immediately was welcomed and escorted to my pedicure spa chair where I chose their basic pedicure package and also had SNS dipped nails done at the same time. AMY was the girl that did my dip nails and she was Fantastic!!! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the place was pretty and clean. I'm dissatisfied every time I come here. I doo pop end forever picking out my perfect color for my SNS and my toes only for them to mismatch the gel on my toes to my SNS color. I left today without my nails done because my toes were to pale and then I was told they lost my SNS color. I'm sick if it. A day that should be relaxing has put me in tears. I usually don't write reviews but I came 5 days ago and paid $44 on a white tip on my natural nails. One of my nails cracked the same day I got them done. Came in today and told them I hadn't even had a week of them being done and all of them were pretty much broken. The guy said okay and after I was done charged me $39 for just an sns color on my natural nail and said that was after the "discount" of all my nails cracking and breaking. First time at SoHo, very disappointing. My pedicure was fine but I wasn't able to enjoy it because the nail technician was rough and pulling me to remove my shellac gel. I knew it wasn't going to be a good experience when she kept insisting my polish was dip and not gel. The nail technical was lazy on all fronts. When she was removing my gel, she didn't put a towel down and all the shavings got on my pants. I asked for an oval shape and she barely shaped them. After the third time of asking her to shape them all the same, I gave up. Did I mention, she let the bowl of water spill on me and used my thigh to hold her tools? The polish job was even worse. I have bubbles and polish on my skin. I think it's been an hr since I left and one nail has already broken. It doesn't matter how fancy the salon may look if the quality of service is subpar. read more

I have been going here since it opened and have been happy with their service. But these last few times have NOT been good! I have SNS done to my nails. The time before last the clear top coat on my nails peeled off like a normal polish would, NOT SNS. So this last time I showed the receptionist my nails and told her I didn't think they used the correct top coat that goes with SNS (I am assuming they are trying to cut corners with the correct product). So I had them done again and the same thing is happening! I have been having my nails done for 25 years and have NEVER needed my nails done in a one weeks time. I went in for a fill in today and when I denied the nail tech after 6 attempts on not getting gel nails she was rude to me the remainder of the visit. She was being so rough on my hands and even cut three of my fingers. I complained to the receptionist and they gave me a "discount". I hit one of the cuts while at dinner and it continued to bleed for a while. My pedicure was fine but she rubbed the tops of both of my feet raw with the scrubber. I hated my visit today and will not be returning like I do every two weeks.
