They are incredibly clean and helpful. When I got there the young man helped me get everything set up. She is a young black lab, strong as an ox, who had come to stay with me while her family was out of town. She is my son's family dog who had been in a pond the week before and smelled terrible. I was concerned I couldn't handle her but they helped me when I needed it. He even helped me get her back in the car.

Dog owners BEWARE! They make you sign a waiver prior to self wash of your animal (red flag #1!) In all my years of washing my various doggies have I even seen a waiver. Wanted to support a local business but because they are so new they need to get some more safety protocols in place STAT. Placed my Rosie in the tub and because there is no rubber mat or non-slip surface she broke her back nail pretty seriously. When we made an employee aware of the situation she agreed that the tubs were slippery and needed to be addressed. Broken nail and $200 vet bill later! Take a ride to Palm Coast or Daytona- two great self wash business and SAFE for your pet.

Warning to all dog owners this new self wash has a serious flaw that could injure your dog - as my dog was injured today! This is a new facility and I was excited about checking it out. It's clean and the staff is friendly... but the tubs are stainless steel and unlike any self dog wash I've ever been to...they are very slippery and have holes in the platform. My dog slipped all over the tub even before washing her, and then her nails got caught in the holes. She started to panic and broke a few nails... I ended up picking her up out of the tub and bringing her directly home. I've washed Rosie at least 50 Times at self dog wash facilities with no issues - because those dog washes have a rubber mat to protect dogs. I also will note this facility didn't have any type of grooming tools to offer clients? They need to get it together and they're lucky they had me sign a waiver before I started! Beware!

They did a great job on my little three month old puppy she was beautiful when I got done and they got me in very quickly thanks

Benny, our Maltese mix never trembles when we go to Soggy Doggy and always runs to Terri Ann.

I normally don't write reviews for a business. However, when a business goes out of their way to…read moremake the experience special, I am willing to let others know about this business. We are snowbirds in St Augustine for 3 months from Wisconsin. We had heard that Happy Paws Pet Grooming and Rita were absolute the Best Groomer in St Augustine. I agree that Rita is the Best Groomer in St Augustine. We have a mini schnauzer. Maddie is her name. She is almost 11 years old and needs a grooming every 5 to 6 weeks. Not only was this grooming the best cut Maddie ever had, but the grooming experience was also the best. From the reviews it was known that Happy Paws Pet Grooming was very busy, and we may not be able to make an appointment. Well, Rita went out of her way to get Maddie in for a grooming, Take the chance and try to make an appointment, it is worth it. Several other reviews here thought this was their mini schnauzer best cut. I would agree with them. Upon arriving, the first thing Rita and her assistant did was to kneel down to Maddie's level and gave her some loving. Most times taking Maddie to a new groomer will cause Maddie to show her fear by shivering. This did not happen with Rita, Rita put Maddie on a bed, not in a dog crate, while we check in. Maddie was ready to pick up is 2 hours. When we came back to pick up Maddie, she was on the bed, not in crate. Thanks Rita, for making this a pleasant experience for Maddie and us. I can remember having another groomer in St Augustine taking over 6 hours to groom Maddie. We were expecting a call after 3 hours. The call never came. We finally went to the groomer's business only to find a shivering Maddie just getting her grooming started. This means that Maddie was in a crate for hours before her grooming. Thanks again Rita for Maddie's best mini schnauzer cut and making Maddie feel welcome and comfortable when we arrived. You put Maddie at ease and you also put us at ease.
