I didn't have a good experience here. First, they pushed too hard the cleaning, although I had my teeth cleaned 3 months ago. They kept on pushing on every visit and their rationale was that it's fully covered by my insurance! I was overcharged and I've called them 5 times so far to get my refund and it hasn't been settled up to this day (1 month and counting). The dentist offered to do sealants for 2 of my teeth and she told me that it will cost me same as fillings. Turns out insurance doesn't cover sealants and they know that (they didn't even bother filing the sealants claims) and unlike fillings, I had to pay 100% of the sealants out of pocket. Overall unfortunately I don't trust this place. read more

I will not be coming back here. I drove over an hour from downtown Houston to get here from work. Only to be turned down because I just got x-rays and bridge work done last week and Jenna Tran turned me away. I'm a long time loyal customer, because she said that my x-rays professionally done at my other dentist were unacceptable to her. What's so poor is the excuse that they wouldn't be up to her standards. I've transferred x-rays here before with no issues. Just need basic cleaning today. They are all about the money. Just terrible customer service. I have never been treated that way and very nonchalant shoved me out the door. I have a large following on Yelp and Google with almost half 1 million followers between both of them I will write this place as subpar, attitude poor. I went there for my chopped tooth and they were able to work me in fast and the process was rather efficient. Did a cleaning and filing. Little more than a week after the filling came off. I went back today and was charged another $150 stating I was "warned". While the place seemed nice they just take you for your money and don't take any pride in their level of service. read more

I find it unconscionable that dentists are not helping adults with Medicaid, including soft touch dental. I have lupus and a ton of other health issues so it is imperative that I get my check ups and deal with any problems. I got one dentists office tell me that it is because they need to do extra sterilizing. What is so difficult that you need another clear plastic bag over your light, and wipe down the chair. Couldn't take but an extra few minutes. And, apparently, all the dentists in the area have formed an under the table coup against helping adults. read more

I'll keep this short. This is a well-managed, professional dental practice with all the latest tech. I have been very well cared for by two of their dentists, Dr Mimi Tran and Dr Mona Lisa Nguyen, and both are excellent dentists. Dr Tran has done most of the work I've had done there, and I honestly can't say enough good things about her. I had some bad experiences early on with incompetent dentists so I had developed an aversion to dental visits, but her highly competent professionalism and compassionate manner always make me feel completely at ease, even faced with two difficult extractions as I was today. If you are a male, there's an added benefit as well-- they are both quite beautiful-- and you get to look at their smiling faces the whole time. But what keeps me coming back is the fact they are easily two of the best dentists I have ever experienced, and the proof of that is that I'm sitting here writing this in no pain less than eight hours after having two infected molars removed. I have had several difficult procedures performed here, and every time my recovery has been better and faster than expected. They say I 'heal well', but that's simply not the case (I never did before) -- I know I recover quickly and heal well because, like in the case of my extractions today, Dr Tran simply managed, as always, to complete the task relatively quickly with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue. How about their front office? Well, I have never felt pressured to have any work done, and they have always presented me with a range of options in terms of pricing, and today was no exception: extraction only, extraction with bone graft to prepare for implants later, or extraction with temporary appliance. I don't have dental insurance so pricing ranged from about $500 for two extractions (with nitrous) to a little over $1000 with the appliance. The two extractions with bone graft to prep for implants ended up being about $850 without insurance. read more

It was a bummer finding out that I have a bill due when showing up for a routine cleaning. The gentleman claimed that someone else had attempted to call me a few times before sending my information to claims. I had voicemails dating back the last three months and not one was from soft touch dental. They called me to set up this visit before benefits ran out at the end of the year.. why not mention it while on the phone looking at my profile?? ! It's frustrating to hear these claims as I built my credit to be spotless, and laziness on their part could have potentially damaged my credit history as those blemishes are long lasting. It was apparently an error on their part for not charging me the correct amount. Dr K keeps me coming back as she is a joy to be around while being in pain (or numb haha); too bad the business side of that practice can be a bit frustrating . The dentist was quick in determining that it is infected, but can be saved by doing a root canal, and referred me to who to go see. I had a bridge done and paid over $3,000 and it is the ugliest thing. It was put in very poorly and then I was told it was because my gums receded. Except the photos are from two weeks after it was done...and I don't believe gums recede that fast. I constantly have people telling me there is something in my teeth because of the way it was put on, the level of sensitivity is out of control from where the bridge does not cover my real teeth. Unfortunately my insurance won't cover another bridge for 5 years but as soon as it does...this this is hideous and embarrasses me on a daily basis. If there was a way to give zero stars, I would have. My experience happened May 2015 but the constant mail solicitation from this business keeps everything fresh in my mind! I was attracted to them because they were open late and on the weekend. Anyone that works a M-F 9-5 knows how important something like this is. I go in for a cleaning asked if they took my insurance they responded yes (I work in HR I should have known better. Taking your insurance and being inside the network are two totally different things)! Of course I leave with a list of things that need to be done with my teeth, the most pressing...a root canal (that was going to cost me $782.60 out of pocket with my insurance because they took my insurance but failed to tell me they were out of network. Again I take responsibility I should have researched more). I go back in for my root canal on a Thursday evening. Mid way through I hear the Dentist (I can't recall her name, I want to say Tran but I could be mistaken) say "oh" not something you want to hear when your mouth is open and a mask full of nitrous. Turns out a piece of her tool had broken off into my canal! She was unable to remove it so she had to refer me to an outside surgeon to see if he could remove it. This was a Thursday night. I had an outpatient unrelated surgery scheduled for the next Friday morning so I had to go through the entire weekend in pain with this piece in my mouth! I went to the specialist he couldn't get it out and thought it was best to just complete the root canal around the piece and make it a part of the substance they would use to fill the canal instead of taking the risk of damaging a nerve. Luckily he was in-network and I had to foot that bill as well! Only $400+. Because he did not begin the root canal and I was only referred to him, I had to go BACK to soft touch for them to complete it and prep me for a crown. During this whole process due to the many things that happened to this tooth in a short amount of days, it was weak and chipped. Had to go back to the specialist for them to shave it down! Footed that bill too! Back to the $782 that soft touch wanted to charge for my root canal that wasn't completed by them because their doctor broke a piece of her tool in my mouth, I paid them $175 (Who knows if the insurance portion was given back to my insurance company). I didn't get that back because even though she didn't finish the job, she started it so I really owed them that and then some according to their receptionist. Finally it's time for me to go back and get prepped for my crown. Another much younger Doctor did it, I guess the original Doctor wanted to steer clear (good idea). Once I was ready to leave 3 things happened. 1. I was told by the receptionist that unfortunately if I wanted to go ahead and get the crown I would have to completely come out of pocket because I had reached my Max insurance contribution for the year (due to all of the mishaps that started with this very office) or I could wait until the following year when my insurance reset but risk my tooth breaking completely without a crown. 2. I was told by the receptionist They did the prep at no charge as a favor (A FAVOR) 3. And finally the receptionist told me It would probably be beneficial if I didn't share what happened with anyone as I would only get frustrated having to repeat what happened! (She was right about that and only that)! After all was said and done I felt like I was just hustled by a used car salesman! They made more money off of me by not disclosing they were out of network (again I should have checked but when someone tells you they take your insurance...nvm). They don't do business in the best interest of their customers only what fits them and their monetary gain! I wouldn't recommend anyone go here! I share my experience with anyone looking for a dentist in Houston! Before I tell them a good place to go I'm always sure to tell them where NOT to go and that's Soft Touch!!! I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice. I've been going here for years and have quite literally gotten to know the staff as my dental family. From the moment you walk through the door for your appointment to the moment you leave, this staff is as good as it gets. Susan, Jaime, Pati, and Joe, the 4 front desk individuals are always clear and concise about finances, scheduling appointments, and any general questions you may have about dentistry. Julie and Abby, their main hygienists, are nothing short of amazing. They are so gentle and they finish their cleanings in good time... and my teeth always feel squeaky clean! Dr. Hajovsky is the owner of the practice, but Dr. Mimi Tran and Dr. Monalisa Nguyen (his associate dentists) are both incredible. They are soft-spoken, literally have a "soft-touch", ready to listen, ready to educate, and just amazing. Their assistants, Megan, Anh, and Natalia seem to be all experts in dental assisting... they make you feel so comfortable in the chair and can answer all the questions you have! Please do not make the mistake of going here for anything non routine. The dentist does not know how to do root canals and will start it and then tell you to go to a specialist to have it completed.
