Applesolutely - vanilla soft serve, oat crumble & warm cinnamon apples
Roxana Q.

I wish soft serve got more love in the US. This place was really good! I got what was an apple crumble basically with vanilla soft serve and it was very good. If I had more time, I would have come back again to try other flavor combos.

Came in after smelling the waffles while walking down Spitafields, and we both got the affogato! The charcoal soft serve was good but did not blow my mind. The affogato was bold and strong and I liked the little cookie they give you! Definetly will try the waffle or brownie mix next time. They also do milkshakes and bubble tea!

We discovered this place on Instagram, and were instantly attracted to how perfect the swirls looked and decided this place had to be a stop on our London trip. True to their Instagram pictures, the soft serve we got here was perfectly swirled and delicious. The vanilla flavored soft serve is very milky in taste, and a lot lighter in terms of richness and more balanced with its sweetness. I'm fairly picky when it comes to soft serve and hate overly sweet and melty soft serve ice cream, so I was super happy to have found something that matched my tastes. I personally really enjoy just plain soft serve, and would probably get just that (no additional toppings) if I were back in the area again. I highly recommend Soft Serve Society as a nice afternoon treat or after-meal dessert at Boxpark.

Matcha soft serve on top, charcoal soft serve on bottom, in a black cone

I've been to the shop in Victoria Market and in Shoreditch, and they're both great! I tried the matcha soft serve and the charcoal soft serve. The matcha flavour was delicious; it was creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, and not an overpowering matcha flavour. The charcoal flavpur was...interesting. I didn't really get a unique flavour other than vanilla; the colour made it intruiging. It's a good summer treat, and both locations are around other food options, so it's a great place to go for a post-meal dessert!

Charcoal coconut soft serve

This place serves a variety of unique flavored soft serves, and their charcoal coconut flavor has caught my attention as I'm a big coconut lover! After trying it, I would say that it had more of a charcoal taste than coconut. I ordered it on a hot day, and it melts quickly, so there's not much time for me to take good photo of it. The portion is small as well, as the soft serve is served on a smaller cup fitted into the bigger cup, which gives me an illusion that the portion is huge. Be aware that the line will be very long and the shop is very narrow and small, hence the waiting experience is super squeez-y and packed. (Just a rant: During the wait, I've got 3 person who stepped on my white shoe because the lack of space to move around)

Love it, love it, love it! The boxpark is only there for a year. It is a small place. The place is small and cosy and very busy (possibly just the hype of these matcha craziness??). On the menu it's the normal cone or cup ice-cream (£3.50), sundae (£4.50) and crazy combination of shakes. I say crazy because the toppings on that shake is overflowing, over-decorated and over the top! Thats the crazy thing and I want a picture of it! I might just indulge myself if anyone of you want to share? So, I just went for the normal cone ice-cream. You can pick between a mixture of vanilla and matcha or just plain matcha. I went full on for proper matcha greeness! The matcha ice-cream is great. A hint of condensed milk but not too sweet and one can still taste of the matcha bitterness. My favourite is still Tombo but with standing strongly in second place with Kanada-ya.

Matcha Madness

Such a great little place for ice cream. Their matcha madness is amazing and IMO better than Tsujiri (no small feat). I really like the little Pocky like biscuit stick and red bean dusting. Great freakshakes but not for the faint of heart as it's a LOT of dessert goodness for one person. Good reason to drag your OH along for after dinner treats though!

The day has finally arrived. Soft serve ice cream has hit the streets of Shoreditch at Boxpark. I decided to visit the store as it is their opening week and they are offering a massive 50% off all ice creams :O (I couldn't believe my eyes). Where do I start...the soft serve Matcha Madness is off the chain, alongside the Espresso Yourself. The smooth and silkiness of each bite will have you wanting more and packed with flavour. Apart from the amazing ice cream the layout and design of the store is super contemporary, cute and oozing with a clean and simplistic, but creative feel (less is totally more in this case). There is a great seating bench to have a sit down whilst you enjoy your ice cream serving and fab photos opposite which will make you giggle. I would recommend this place to everyone whether you are visiting Shoreditch with friends, family or even your pet dog. I am so happy there is finally soft serve ice cream in Shoreditch and I cannot wait to get my next ice cream fix! If you do not fancy ice cream or would like something alongside it they also offer a great selection of fresh shakes, juices and teas. P.s The owners are super friendly and passionate about their soft service ice cream. Thank you for being so welcoming!

Pop up store

Great little pop up in Box Park Shoreditch. It was a hot Sunday and after strolling thru brick lane I was in need of ice cream and when they ask they have matcha mixer with vanilla... I jumped at the chance.. A great taste that is not too sweet even with the vanilla combination. The cone was crunchy and the ice cream.. Thick and smooth.. Yum yum is all in going to say They do sundaes and other drinks bit I was only there for the soft serve and it didn't disappoint. I think my preference would still be the one from tombo... Actually I think I'm going to need a reminder lol... Who's up for trying more match ice cream???

Cloud9 Sundae
Joanna G.

My only complain is that it's a bit small and it gets crowded very easily! Other than that, I loved this place and definitely recommend it! I had the Cloud9 Sundae and it was perfect!

Oreo espresso soft serve
Chrystel K.

Really fun twist on the standard soft serve. They add different and fun toppings on the ice cream which makes the whole dessert great to look at but ofcourse delicious to eat. The soft serve itself tastes smooth and creamy. Would recommend to follow them on Instagram to keep up with all the great twists they add to the menu.

Charcoal coconut ice cream with black cone
Seo Young M.

It's not just the visual attractiveness of the ice creama, but also the taste! Not disappointing at all even until the last bite of the cone!

The coconut charcoal soft serve is perfect for a hot summer day!

Located in a small shop at the…read morecorner of Brick Lane and Bacon St. (just to add to its appeal), the vintage feel jives with the overall ambiance of the Brick Lane experience. But inside this shop is an experience all its own. Those of us well into our adult years will still get that proverbial "kid in a candy store" sense when walking into a place like this. The immediate reaction is "I'll take one of everything". The number of choices and sheer number of chocolates displayed in a confined space are both exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. It was clear from the choices that this was a true artisan shop. In an act of fiscal and dietary restraint, we took away a half-dozen pieces. My wife always compares chocolatiers using their Chocolate Orange Peels (Chocolate Orangettes is what they called them at this place) as a benchmark. This place passed with flying colors. They also offered an intriguing Mango-infused Dark Chocolate with a pipet of Mango compote that you could inject before eating. It was also a highlight. The prices are fair for what this place is and the service is friendly, polite and efficient. If you are meandering up and down Brick Lane, this establishment is worth a stop. If you are a Chocolate fan, then this place is a must-stop. I guess there are people out there who are not chocolate lovers (or at least likers), but that is like not being a fan of oxygen from my perspective. I would like to stop again sometime to try one of the chocolate drinks. We opted to not get one this time on top of the candy pieces we bought to avoid the sugar overload. But they looked amazing from what I saw of others who did indulge.

They had a lot of different types of truffles which looked more simple compared to the fancy chocolate pieces that had little pipettes with flavored purée (which as raspberry & mango). Most of the chocolate seemed to be dark chocolate, lesser amount of milk chocolate, and a few white chocolate pieces. If you're around this store, stop in to grab a sweet treat!

I went to the Convent Garden location and had a 2 scoops - one of the Saffron, Pistachio & Rose, and one of the Orange Blossom & Rose. I'm a sucker for Middle Eastern & floral flavors in ice cream. The ice cream is super creamy, and the flavors are perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. I can taste the saffron, rose & orange blossom, but they enrich the ice cream instead of being too light or too floral. I'm not an ice cream person, and I pretty much ate the entire thing on a street corner in Convent Garden, while people passing by gawked a little at an adult woman enjoying ice cream with wild abandon by herself. I think they stared a lot cause I looked so HAPPY. Anyways, def a must try in my book if you are over there. Do go for the interesting flavors, there's kinda no point in going to a place like this and trying their vanilla flavor! IG: teaandcc

To our surprise we walked past this unique cronut / donut spot, and my foodie senses started to take over. We strolled in to a pleasant aroma of sweetness! The cronuts in the case looked absolutely stunning so our group decided to try a few and share. We indulged in the Nutella, Yum Yum, Zebra, and the Oreo Dough. All were scrumptious, slightly dense, and extremely filling! Definitely plan to share as one of these bad boys can easily be plenty for 2 people. That being said, the leftovers came home with us...so I'm not complaining. The fellas behind the counter were very friendly and answered all our questions. They also serve ice cream, but I had no room to partake on this visit. Needless to say, don't be a Dum Dum...go try this Donutterie!

I went in close to 1pm on a Thursday and they were already sold out of many flavors. I got the Almond & Pistachio Cro and it did not disappoint; fragrant, toasty almond cream centered in between layers of the flaky dough, dusted with sugar all over, topped with icing, and perfectly decorated with pistachios. The cream was more like a paste but the sweet almond flavor was very nice. Super heavy and good as a breakfast or snack if you're looking for something filling. £3.50 was not a bad price to pay, although it equates to the $5 USD it costs at the overly-hyped Dominique Ansel Bakery. Easy to miss as it is very small, but it's located a few shops next to the Shoreditch Station, on the bottom floor of Boxpark, which is filled with gimmicky Instagram-worthy food. I'd say to give this place a try if you aren't sure about Dominique Ansel, which sells their cronuts for only £0.50 more, but overrated, IMO.
