Omg! Yum! This bubble waffle is what you would get if you're in Hong Kong. My first thought was...say what?! £3-£5 for bubble waffles with toppings? Surely that's overpriced for a bubble waffles that you can get it for 70p in Asia. -snap myself back to reality- oops, sorry guys, I forgot we were in London. Pricing issue aside, and based on taste, I've got to give it a thumbs up! Fluffy and light, it was good! I went for peanut butter and coco pops bubble waffle, it was good! For the love of food, I'm willing to close an eye on the price and the very fact that it's London (and in hipster-ish shoreditch) Okay, now you've read it and is willing to try, let me know if any of you has tried the waffles with Oreo topping because seriously, that look so good!

Decided to give bubble tea a chance here and ordered the lychee bubble tea. It was way too sweet. It needed to be diluted by at least an additional 50% water. Not to mention it was pricey but I guess average for Londoners.

Strawberry, Cream and Chocolate Sauce Bubble Waffle

I used to have bubble waffles in Chinatown in London, as the street stalls offered the HK bubble waffle - my particular favourite being the Nutella. So when I came to Nosteagia to try the waffles I had high expectations because of the different varieties. I ordered the strawberry, cream and chocolate sauce bubble waffle. The waffle was cooked so it was still hot but it lacked the slight crispiness which I was hoping for. Because of the heat, the cream had melted quickly and it became messy to eat as it was dripping at the end. However I did enjoy the strawberries and chocolate sauce and the dessert looked aesthetically pleasing otherwise. Our dessert (which I shared with a friend) costed £4 in total. I also purchased the Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Bowl) which costed £6. I particularly enjoyed this dish as it was filling however I did find it to be slightly tedious as it was just chicken, egg and rice. For its price I think it was pretty good, considering it is central London.

The waffle was super crispy and not really our typical soft and fluffy waffle. There wasn't anything special about the bubble waffle. It would be a good place for dessert, but it closes quite early on some days. There is also a location near Green Park station!

The waffle with the snickers, peanut butter, cream and chocolate ice cream is to die for! An absolute must if you're in Shoreditch town!

It seems like no one has mentioned the Gyudon yet. OMG I love the Gyudon here, absolutely delicious, even better than some of the Gyudon I've tried at Japanese restaurants. I'm a big fan of Gyudon and found this place searching Gyudon deliveries on the Internet. I didn't expect it to be this good tbh since its a bubble tea&desserts shop. But it was really great. Large portion(lots of beef), rich taste!! Love it. Keep up the good work Nosteagia!!

CHA-yeahhhhhh!…read more Imagine my delight today while strolling along Rivington Street I find newly opened Chatime!? I'd been meaning to visit the other locations to snag some delicious milk teas but now with this one in my 'hood, I'm happy as a tapioca slurping clam! After lunch, I made a quick beeline back and had the Chatime Milk Tea with ice, pearls and half sugar. I'm a big fan of their "sugar level index" that allows you to really customize how sweet you'd like it. I went with half sugar and it was perfect. If you are cutting out the stuff altogether they'll make it with no additional sugar, major score. The options are plentiful without being too overwhelming and it's not all bright colors and round letters (always makes me feel like i'm in a Hello Kitty movie), like a lot of bubble tea places...this is calm, cool, and collected. The owner helped us out with our selections, chatted to us about the shop and we sat at the bench window seats for a bit enjoying our milk teas and catching up on a few emails. It's small, but very comfortable. Very pleased! Welcome to Shoreditch, Chatime!

I never really got into the whole boba hype when I was growing up. Still, the prospect of boba on the other side of the Atlantic piqued my interest when I was in the neighborhood... First things first: you'll definitely feel the dollar-to-pound conversion when you peruse the menu. While I am no stranger to paying extra for some of the fancier toppings (like jellies), I was a little disappointed to see that even the boba tapioca balls cost an extra £0.50. (Maybe this is normal outside of the States, where the drink is known as "milk tea" instead of "boba"? Because otherwise I find it hard to believe that boba can be sold without, well, the boba...) I went with the Assam black milk tea because I find that choosing the most basic of milk teas is the best way to evaluate a boba spot. It wasn't as sweet as the basic black milk teas that I usually can find in the U.S. (understandable, as most drinks in the U.S. are probably sugarier). The boba was fresh (to be expected, as I had pay extra for it...) At the end of the day, I had paid £4.50 for the regular size of some pretty average tasting boba. The shop itself is pretty tiny, though the seating is pretty hip-looking.

REVIEW FOR BUBBLE-CI TEA AT MEADOWHALL, SHEFFIELD…read more The only good thing I can say is that the drink itself was nice. The service was awful. Only two workers at the store, resulting in huge queues all day long. One serving, and one making the drinks - meaning we had to wait for 30-40 mins with approx. 10 people ahead of us. Simply not good enough! One more person making the drinks would halve the waiting time. And when we finally got to the front of the queue, we were told that they were out of tapioca pearls - brilliant! The one item that should be in plentiful supply was not available. And of course, the first tapioca scoop was free of charge - and when I asked for a free substitute topping I was told "no". Now, that's a company that values its customers, eh! And to add insult to injury, the girl making our drink simply disappeared for 3 minutes for no apparent reason. She never said anything; just casually sauntered off and reappeared several minutes later without so much as an explanation or an apology for the delay. The takeaway is that we will not be visiting Bubble-CI again. Damage done! We will take our business elsewhere next time. Plenty of other competitors in the market.

They have a special discount going on due to their grand opening so definitely check them out. What is also unique is that their cups look recyclable and possibly reusable (material is more stronger than usual boba cups) so will see if this is true when I come back to ask!
