Fabrique in Covent Garden is a pint-sized outpost of the Stockholm-based bakery, slinging a full selection of bread and pastries but best-known for its buns. We stopped by on a weekend morning on the early side to grab breakfast. I was faced with the insurmountable choice of cinnamon or cardamom bun, resolved by my boyfriend getting the former so I could get the latter. I would say that the cardamom edges out the cinnamon, as it has a more unique flavor, but both were delectable. Soft and decadent. Absolutely stop by for one if you're in the area. Coffee prices are reasonable and quality is nothing to sneeze at. The majority of customers get it to go, but there is some snug seating and they'll nicely plate it for you if you eat-in. Small vases of pink flowers make this feel nicer than the standard cafe.

Cute bakery in the West End! We stopped by to grab some breakfast before our show began and were happy with our purchases. We had latte macchiatos, which were delicious, and also tried vanilla and cardamom buns. To be completely honest, I was blown away with the bread! The sweet and spicy fusion of the vanilla and cardamom were an incredible combination unlike any I've had before. It is quite small so there isn't much room to sit and it seemed to be a bit under staffed, other than that, pretty quality menu items!

I love Fabrique and my local branch in Notting Hill has become a regular haunt for fresh bread - simply the best rye in London! I've overdosed on the cinnamon buns, also tried the cardamom and saffron varieties - but cinnamon wins hands down. If you're not in the mood for eating dough, Fabrique is just as perfect for a quick catch up - they brew a good coffee and offer a choice of non-dairy milks.

Lovely bakery in Covent Garden. I was instantly attracted to their fresh out of the oven cinnamon bun It's perfectly spiced and sweet, a must try for cinnamon lovers like myself. The texture is also great, especially the edges that are sugared up. I'll definitely be back and I'm very much looking forward to trying out the cardamon bun and vanilla bun next! -- voodie rating: 9/10 £2.5 for the cinnamon bun

Can't fault this adorable bakery! If you have a cinnamon bun craving like I do (frequently!) then this is your place. Perfect location for a mid shopping pause, there are 5-6 tables inside. Buns were 2,50£ and an excellent Swedish brewed ice tea was 2,75£. Both were delicious, and when you combine that with A+ decor and friendly service? 5 stars baby.

The bread was AMAZING, however it was the most expensive baguette I have ever purchased in my lifetime. You will get great bread, you just have to understand you will be paying premium prices here. Cashier was a bit rude but hey, only had to be in the place for a few minutes. Really cute decor- really great bread!

Cardamom swirly buns? Double macchiato for £2.20? Yes please! This little coffeehouse at the end of Earlham Street (jetting out of 7 Dials) definitely operates without any ego, has great price points, and strong strong espresso. They also have a generous selection of fresh loaves of bread, French bread sammies with thick slices of prosciutto, and other sweets like cookies, brownies, and muffins. When Monmouth, Timberyard, and Hotel Chocolat may be just too swarmed with the afternoon rush, this is a quieter little nook to hit up. Outdoor bench seating available as well.

This bakery is heaven ! I was craving some cardamom and cinnamon buns when I realize I was not far away from this shop I had bookmarked one year ago... I had some good cinnamon buns in London but I've always preferred the ones I bake. But that was before I tasted theirs. They are perfect for me: crunchy on the outside and extremely soft on the inside because they don't go light on the butter and butter is key in a cinnamon bun. Also they put the perfect amount of cardamon, cinnamon and sugar. Just before leaving I decided to try their bread : the rye one and the levain one and I can tell you that thanks to this bakery I had a great breakfast this morning... I missed so much my french tartines with a proper bread. Thank you Fabrique bakery for making such amazing things... I will be back, very soon! ps: their croissants and pain au chocolat seems amazing but the prices are way too high (2,50£ for a little croissant).

What a fantastic café, everything was freshly baked and tasted amazing! I highly recommend the Swedish styled cinnamon buns and their home-made sandwiches. The staff were very kind and eager to help even when there where many people in line. I will definitely go back because it is simply worth it!

I have walked past…read moreSweet for at least a year and often admired the pastries, but just never had the time to go in. Today I made the time. When I entered Sweet I was greeted by the staff and quickly took in a few silver tables and several wooden tables with stools. I ordered a goat cheese pastry puff and cappuccino. I was a bit annoyed that rather than ring me up, allow me to sit down and bring me my cappuccino, I was made to stand and wait until my drink order was finished. As I sat down, there was a mini rush. I was glad to have a seat because Sweet wasn't meant to hold a large crowd. The goat cheese puff was good; with each bit I could taste the goat cheese, meaning there was lots of goat cheese, yummy. The puff also had large tomatoes and a bit of basil, which added a nice flavor. The crust was light and flaky and I am sure I would have enjoyed the puff even more if it had been served warm. The cappuccino was also very good, but had a bit too much foam and not enough liquid for my taste. I like just a bit of foam and lots of liquid, next time I will request it that way. Overall Sweet was not bad, I would visit again, but doubt that I'd make it my regular boulangerie.

My only regret…read moreis I wish I had more people with me or I wish I was hungrier cuz I really wanted to order ALLLL the pastries! My husband and I decided to try for a table and we ended up waiting about 45 min - 1 hour to sit. There was a super short line for to-go pastries (and sometimes there was no line), so if you're pressed for time, definitely do that! I love how the Arome workers help move the line along and help people in line find tables. Also speaking of Arome, the AROMA was fantastic! It smelled to buttery and fantastic both inside and while waiting in line. I ended up trying: the iconic Honey Butter Toast, Black Sesame Mochi Cookie, and Almond and Chocolate Croissant, a Savory Croissant (I think Sausage and Cheese), a Chai, and a Matcha. Everything was SO GOOD. All the pastries were amazing. I'm glad we got a mix of sweet and savory things. Everything we had was buttery, flaky, intentional, and made with love. What you'll like the most will depend on your personal flavor preferences! Definitely give this place a try!

According to their website, they deliver "European excellence with Asian flair" which is really a great way to describe their pastries and the experience! Definitely the quality that you would expect with some of those Asian flavors. Here is what we tried: Chocolate Pistachio Escargot (5/5): Shaped in a snail shell, in between the flaky layers of pastry were luscious chocolate sprinkled with pistachio for nutty texture. Really enjoyed this one! Honey Butter Toast (4/5): Touted as their signature, I had high expectations for this. It is exactly as described which that slightly sweetness from the honey in a perfectly toasted milk bread. I did enjoy this a lot but also felt like it would benefit by having something else for texture or contrast. Chicken Butter Croissant (4/5): The croissant had the nice flaky layer with chewy interior. I loved the savory chicken sausage with the slightly sweet soy glaze that provided nice contrast and that Asian twist. When we got there a little after opening, there was no line but all the seats were taken as the place is quite limited on seats. While we were asked to wait for a little a bit outside, we did not have to wait too long. However, the line did end up getting longer as we were leaving and some ended up eating outside. Overall, if you are interested in tasting some tasty pastries, I would recommend Arome!
