First time at So Fresh Carrollwood. The female employee up front was fairly friendly I ordered a Poke Bowl was Ahi as my protein. My wife has the Signature Salad with Ahi as the protein. The Poke Bowl comes with a teriyaki sauce on the side. No other sauce was offered, no Lime or Lemmon. The Poke bowl with only the teriyaki sauce left much to desire as it was flavorless for the most part. There was sriracha sauce on the table. but it only helped a little Nobody ever came over to ask how the food was. The Signature Salad came with a Balsamic Dressing which was a descent salad. We did notice after that some sauces were an option to add for $079. Perhaps if I was asked if I wanted to add a dressing or sauce, it may have been a better experience. read more

I've eaten once a week at SoFresh for the past three and a half years and have tried every single order on the menu. But the past 2 months this place has been going downhill unfortunately, the rice and quinoa was sour and old tasting in the bowls; my past 3 orders all on separate weeks have had spoiled rice inside. The bowls are assembled beautifully, but now it's a double portion of rice which is old and disgusting and the protein of choice. However, the rice is stacked to the top so it looks like it's full of veggies, but it's just a few sprinkled on top. I understand the smaller piece of fish from time to time like usual but the whole base to be not fresh really ruined my lunch. SoFresh isn't cheap so I've been so disappointed to have wasted over 40 dollars worth of food each time, I love the blackened salmon so until I find a copycat recipe, I'll still go in for that, but I won't get a bowl just à la cart protein. Along with the service being on and off there's a blonde young lady that's in there and is very sweet every time but when anyone else is at the counter, it's passive aggressive attitude. Also 90% of the time the restaurant is clean they do stay on top of it , inside is very white and modern keeping it simple. Overall, I would recommend still I just hope those previous mess ups with my order was just a bad day for them and they get right back on track with serving quality fresh food. read more

Because I think this will be the Carrollwood restaurant I frequent the most. --- --- --- While there are certainly other restaurants that I love to pig out at, SoFresh combines healthiness with their deliciousness, which means I can eat here a lot more often than I can stuff my face with sushi or BBQ. I have been to other SoFresh locations in the area and loved them, so when I heard we were getting one in Carrollwood, I was incredibly excited. For my first trip (on the second day they were open) I built my own bowl and thought everything was great. There were several different types of combinations I'd like to go back and try on the build-your-own side, as well as plenty of great pre-arranged concoctions on the menu. I was especially impressed by how smooth things operated after being officially open for about 24 hours before I stopped in. I will definitely be back and be back often! read more

I always come to this location just because it's pretty central. I had never had a bad experience until today 4/12/22 I walked in at around 5:20 and the young lady at the counter just looked like she did not want to be there. She didn't greet anyone, ignored that anyone was there for at least 2 minutes and when she came back to the register she just stood there without saying anything. Beyond awkward experience that even the lady behind me looked at me wondering what was wrong with the girl. I ordered my regular bowl (Cali bowl, with No Bacon, no lettuce, and just add onions) well when I got back to my office there was bacon on my bowl, less than half of an avocado or less than the serving I always get, barely any rice, or quinoa. The taste was still great ... but just this one experience was good enough not to come back. I order no bacon for a reason and it's not strips that you could easily remove, it's little bits that go all over the food. So I paid $13 for a really bad experience. And when I woke up this morning and ate my leftovers over the sink I could officially determine this was FIVE DANG STARS. I ordered through the app and picked up my meal without having to make eye contact with anyone. This would be ideal on days when I'm grumpy but it's also great for people like my brother, introverted souls who detest small talk. The app allows you to customize down to every detail. The up-charges for add ons are kinda cray. So be careful adding items. For example a lemon wedge costs .75 LOL. But even for the price I feel this is pretty valuable. My intention was to place an order online. After making my selection, the site said it needed to text me a verification pin on my phone. I put in my number and then nothing. I tried and retried and still nothing. We are already off to a bad start. I waited until this location opened and when I called, it said the number was disconnected! Maybe this was a sign I should order lunch from elsewhere...? If I didn't already collect lunch orders from my team, I would have cut my losses there. Then I was late to picking it up due to little office fires everywhere. I called her back to let her know I was running late and she said don't worry about it. The bowls were finally picked up, disbursed out, and I'm happy to report all bowls were filled per custom order and everyone had rave reviews. My order was made through a delivery courier so I can't say much about the ambiance or the service of the place, but I will say that the order tasted amazing and was super fresh. I downloaded their app to place a lunch time salad, broth and crimson berry herbal iced tea. I ordered extra avocado and baby spinach in my salad instead of including another kind of protein. The order was to be delivered. The service was completed quickly. One thing about the app is I wished there was a field to communicate with the driver the directions to my home, as GPS sends to the wrong street. The order arrived inside a nice bag. Only the tea was missing from my order. Not sure who dropped the ball as the items we're highlighted. The salad was a nice size and yet I'm not sure if there was extra spinach and avocado. It was my first time to order from SF so I have nothing to compare it to other than their advertising menu pictures. The broth I received was too salty. I just got home from my dr appt and my BP was high and we all know that high sodium is not a good thing for BP. I tried to contact the delivery person with no response. Then I call the store and received a message saying no one was available to take my call. Instead I left a message to give my payment source a credit for the missing tea. Maybe I'll go inside next time or perhaps give the delivery service one last try. 3 starts - 1 for fast service, 1 for tasty salad even if the extra spinach and avocado wasn't there. My first time visiting SoFresh. They have a very nice location and give you the option to order at the counter or place an order at a kiosk. Once we placed the order the person that brought out our food was very nice and checked in often. My wife got a green smoothie which she said was delicious and a quesadilla. I did the design my own wrap option and I think I will be picking something else next time. They have really good lemonade that I enjoyed quite a bit. I'm already a big fan of the So Fresh franchise, so I already had high expectations of this place. When I had to be in Carrollwood, I decided to stop on by here. They were officially not open yet, but they were training, and it was just my luck they were able to serve me. I went with their signature salad since it's my fave added with a hard boiled egg and seared Ahi tuna (my favorite way to have it). What I love about this salad is how well the ingredients work together like the goat cheese, avocado, sunflower seeds, and raisins (which I normally hate, but for the salad, it works because it adds a depth of sweetness to it). I washed it all down with their infused water which has mint and strawberries it. Very refreshing on a scorching hot day. Everyone there was very nice and welcoming in my approach. The food was every bit as delicious as I would expect at any SoFresh, and it's safe to say that Carrollwood is in for a treat! read more

Stay away from this location, friends. I usually go to the Downtown and USF locations, which are great, but this one was terrible. The employee out front was a young lady who didn't greet me when I approached to order (didn't say anything at all) and certainly looked like she did not want to be there. I ordered my regular Superfood bowl with tofu and tipped 20% so it came out to over $16. There must have been only one person making the food in the back because it took over 20 minutes for my order to come out. There were several online orders, too, but I still felt it was unnecessarily long. While packing the orders as they came out, the FOH employee looked at her phone the entire time and she never greeted anyone when they came to pick up their orders. The tables in the dining area needed to be wiped down, there were crumbs all over 2 of the tables that I noticed. The floor needed to be mopped as it was filthy. And then after waiting so long my food was barely warm, all the tofu was burned, and the whole bowl seemed dry. It truly was terrible and extremely disappointing. A few times the quinoa was too salty or the vinaigrette was too salty. Today when I went I received a kids portion meal. They are very cheap with the portions. I agree with the other 1 star review. The young lady that was there tonight acted like she didn't want to be there. Ear buds in, no greeting , no eye contact. We ordered and I tipped 15 percent. Took forever for the food to come out. People that ordered after us to go had there orders before we got ours at our table. She brought it out and just tossed it on the table and said nothing and walked away. Food was ok but nothing special. The wrap we got was soaking wet with dressing, extremely disappointed and tasted like pure sugar. I usually try a restaurant more than once before posting a review but this time I'm not going to wait because it's unlikely I'll be back because of the price point. In short I ordered a Greek salad & added beef, with a drink and all together my bill was just under $19 after tax. Also I was prompted to leave a tip which I did at 20% (maybe an unpopular opinion but why am I prompted to tip a person who enters the food into a tablet and then hands it to me in a bag? As I said the food WAS good and everything was "so fresh" but out the door my bill was $22. For a Greek salad with grilled steak (approx 4oz) and a $3 drink. This is an a Carrollwood fast casual setting not south tampa and not NYC. While I hope they do well and I know that restaurants are struggling right now, there's no way I can make this part of my regular takeout rotation at this price. Fresh Kitchen is a similar type place which I LOVE but it's too far away for a lunch run. the same exact salad would be $4 less there for the 4 bowl and about the same at Zoe's Kitchen right up the road. read more

Save yourself the time and just go to Fresh Kitchen. My gf ordered the Greek bowl and added chicken and avocado and we didn't realize until we got home that they didn't add the chicken (but remembered to add the avocado?). Drive 15 minutes back and I tell one girl then the manager comes over to help and no apology, no care for the fact I wasted 30 minutes of my life for their mistake to get an overpriced meal just for the manager to say "oh yea you did pay for it" (after I showed her my receipt saying I paid for it and she had to check their system). So she takes the bowl and has the person in the back throw a scoop of dry, burnt chicken in the bowl and hands it back to me and just says have a good rest of your day. At least crack a smile? Save some semblance of customer service. You can hate your job but don't make it my problem. First and last time i go there. I would've rather paid the extra money and drive farther to go to Fresh Kitchen. At least they have good food AND good service. By going here I saved time and money for crap I don't even want.
