I rarely write reviews, but Derrick and team deserve it. I wanted a solid wood door and had three companies give me quotes. I could tell from just meeting Derrick and seeing the time he spent on my quote I was going with them - helped too he was right in line with other companies pricing wise. They came up with a window door design that fit my mid century style house and matched the front of my house amazingly. He came by multiple times to insure the garage was right and seriously I can't think how a company could be better job for the price. Rare business that treats their service more like a craft. I get a compliment a week now about the door from people in my neighborhood I have never spoken with before. read more

We were in need of new garage doors, we were lucky enough to find Derek from Soderstrom Garage doors. He came right out to give us a quote, he was very professional and honest and gave us the best price out of all the quotes we received. Derek was very responsive and kept us informed every step of the way. We had to push out our installation by a week and Derek was very accommodating. We highly recommend Soderstrom Garage Doors and would use them again in heartbeat! We love our new doors! read more

Soderstrom Garage Doors - The new garage door fit perfectly and looks great!! - Garage Door Services Near Me

Derek was great to work with. I live local to his shop, and I when I called him and he arrived within 30 after completing his other job. I thought to myself, "you're finishing another job? how many people need new garage doors all the time? shouldn't be that many right? dude must be good if he's constantly busy." He came, measured my garage, showed me multiple options for doors and gave me a great quote. Needless to say. The job was awesome. He came in and put new doors in my 1946 garage which had a 1970 garage door. My door was old, creaky and looked like crap. This new door is beautiful, quiet as a mouse and smooth like butter. Best of all it was affordable. He even gave me multiple garage door styles to choose from that were within my budget. Overall, a job well done from great people. I highly recommend Derek Soderstrom and his team read more

Derek is a true professional. He knows his line of work! He converted a door spring and fixed my track. He talked me through what needed to be done and didn't sell me on anything I didn't need. He provided me with a window of time he was going to arrive, and gave me a notice when he was on his way. Fair pricing too! Look no further, this is your garage guy! read more

I don't know what happened, I am so confused right now and hope to get an answer. My garage door remote control got stolen so I called to see if they can reset the code, Derek answered the phone, very polite and professional, said he can be there between 3-4pm(closer to 3pm), asked my address and everything seemed to be fine. 4:30 still no one shows up and no calls, so I called him back but only voicemail, tried three times still robot voicemail, I told myself to give him more time, maybe he is busy and will return my call. Waited until 5pm still no call back no answering, so I have to find someone else. I am sure the 25 positive reviews are legit(or at least some), but the whole situation feels like scam and does not make sense to me, what exactly happened? read more

Replaced my garage door at a good price. He did a good job. But, a couple of weeks later I had a problem with the door. I called him and told him I had problems . He said that he would call me after he finished what he was doing. Never heard from him. I called and texted him, no answer. That is my experience with him. You can do what you want, of course. Terrible experience. read more

We have been shopping for new garage door for a couple of years, I tried the big box stores but was not getting the personal touch. I found Soderstrom garage doors on IG, so I looked into his service and noticed he had a lot of really good reviews, so I setup a free estimate just to get an idea what their service was all about. When Derek came out he fully explained his service, he then took measurements and was real honest on what to expect, he provided great details on what it would take to install a new garage door for my garage using my existing garage door opener, I was kind of concerned because my garage is kind of small, he reassured me that my truck would fit with a new garage door. I'm happy he came out and took measurements because I know I would not have gotten it right if would have ordered my own door from a big box store. He seemed really honest with me so I felt comfortable going with Derek to install my garage door, his price was really good compared to what I was seeing elsewhere such as TV commercials. He explained how long it would take and he scheduled the install according to my schedule which made feel good about going with Derek. I would highly recommend Derek and Soderstrom garage doors, he goes above and beyond to provide a good product and good customer service, which is kind of hard to find these days. read more

Our experience having Soderstrom garage doors install our 3 garage doors was great! The owner, Derek, quickly responds to any inquiries, and gets estimates out to customers quickly, revisions as well if the scenario demands change... we set an appointment for Octavio to measure and size up the project.. Then when he was on his way to my home Derek texted me an updated arival time. Octavio was excellent at seeing exactly how to replace my old slab doors with new roll ups. He informed me exactly what needed to move and answerd all my questions about the doors, openers and the process of installing Ithem. He and Derek installed our three doors. I contacted this person to come to my house and give me an estimate to which he did. I got a couple more quotes from others and decided to have him put new mechanism to my existing door. I called him and made arrangements to come on the 23rd from about 1 to 4 in the afternoon. needless to say I am still waiting for him to come. I called him back and left a message and it was never returned. I was so upset because he assured me it would be done and he was a good talker but no action done. If you use this person I still do not know if he is legit or not because he never did any work. I hope this helps the next person who is thinking of using this person. read more

I am so relieved and happy to find a business that does its job to keep customers, not to rip them off one by one. I live all the way in Washington State and have a rental home in San Pedro, CA. Not only did I get an estimate the next day, the job was completed and done well the following day. My husband was in CA at the time and checked out the work, he was very impressed. Thank you for your good work, good ethics and fair prices. I definitely found the garage door company I will be using from now on. read more

Derek is the best garage door guy I know. Responsive, good value and it works when he is done. This is indeed as good as it gets.

Derek knows his stuff!! Our garage door was making an odd sound, which really scared me because it is a super heavy door. Derek was able to come the same day--which was awesome. Was looking for honest advice and fair estimate for either replacing or repairing a garage door that would no longer go up/down and had a slew of broken components. I called Dereks number and left a message. Within a minute, Derek promptly returned my call. He asked all the right questions and "listened" to my answers. Within 10 minutes we had a general plan which involved him visiting the property, visually verifying what we had discussed and then come up with 3 options. From the conversation he determined that most likely I could keep the door and he would figure out what extent of repairs was needed. The next day, Derek was at the property and texted me the details of the 3 options along with pricing. I chose the middle-priced one and was very comfortable with what I was being offered. The next day, Derek was on-site, on-time and on-budget. He basically replaced everything but the door and rails. I now have the quietest garage door in the neighborhood which is so quiet you can't even hear it go up when only 15 feet away. Derek is very conscientious and left no mess or evidence of being on-site, except for a wonderfully repaired garage door system. Thank you, Derek for job well done and for earning my trust. read more
