Socorro is the absolute best. I started going to her a few weeks ago I am 38 weeks pregnant and I never felt better. She is SO in tuned with my body and knows exactly what it needs. Socorro is a fantastic massage therapist! My husband and I were on vacation in Laguna Beach, and I was so fortunate to receive a massage from Socorro. She has a fantastic combination of knowledge, skill, wisdom, and experience. She balanced old school and newer techniques to provide exactly what I needed. Socorro did a great job of integrating what I told her of my health and needs with what she noticed on her own. I felt like she helped me find balance, calm, and strength (and I'm a *very* practical person...). On the business side of things, I called/left messages and emailed many massage therapists, asking about their availability, and I heard back from very few. Socorro was one of the few to call me back promptly. She was warm and friendly, but respected my time as we were making arrangements. A few details: 1. Socorro takes community health very seriously, and, consistent with that, she is fully vaccinated. 2. Her studio is in a gated community (about 30 minutes from Laguna Beach), so you'll just need to tell the guard the address you are heading to and your name. 3. Socorro does not accept credit cards, but works with a variety of payment methods, including cash. 4. Her rates are low compared to other massage therapists in the area. I loved my healing massage with Socorro! And recommend her to all my family and friends. She started off my session by just sitting and talking to me at her table first. I loved that... so she could understand where my body is mentally and physically. When she worked on me she was able to share/tell/guide me in the way a healer would. It was really special and unlike any other massage I have ever had. I loved seeing Socorro! She is such compassionate, caring person from the depths of her heart. She's located in a serene cottage up on a hill with an amazing view. Horses are right outside her door. The minute you arrive, you feel at peace. Her massage was wonderful and intuitive and even included hot rocks. She guided me to visualize and release a lot of what I was holding onto from the past. I want to take the time and post a review about the services offered by Socorro Diaz because what she has to offer and what she gives to each of her clients is beyond a price tag. I first visited Socorro searching for relief of the anxiety and turmoil in my life. She began her session with a very open mind and an intuitive massage. As she worked my muscles the pestering issues catapulted forward cascading and spilling over allowing me to see the actual culprits for the anxiety, insomnia, and turmoil. I felt safe in her nonjudgmental demeanor and was able to work through some tough issues that probably would have taken me see several months to sort through with regular talk therapy. I first went for pregnancy related sciatica and recently went in just for some relaxation as I'm approaching the end of my pregnancy. While visiting with my daughter, I was given the gift of a massage before my next day travel back to Virginia. Not being familiar with the area, it took me a while to find the location (it's really easy to get to, I just missed the street and am NOT use to the CA traffic).
