I came here for a deep tissue massage with Lucy due to glowing reviews. I've been getting deep tissue massages for almost 2 decades now and this one was one of the worst. It was such a huge disappointment and painful and uncomfortable I kept waiting for it to be over. First, she doused my entire back with oil, it was so much it dripped everywhere and she didn't even ask for what kind of pressure I wanted. She massaged my back with her forearm, not her hands, with short, super fast strokes. How is that relaxing?? Her pressure with either too soft or too hard, never just right. I had to give her feedback every 5 minutes which was annoying. And she massaged near my armpits and it kept tickling me, I told her to avoid it but she kept doing it anyway. Halfway through the massage, I gave up on giving her feedback as I could not relax. When I told her to please massage my feet as I'm standing a lot, she massaged the top of my feet the whole time, instead of the bottom which was stupid and painful. I told her to not massage my thighs or hips and she did anyway. She massaged a lot of the bony parts instead of muscle. I'm really upset I spent so much money feeling more tense than I did before I came here. I don't understand how people thinks Lucy is a good masseuse. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the most unprofessional and disappointing massage experiences I've ever had. I chose this place based on the strong Yelp reviews, but after my visit I honestly question how those ratings are so high. From the beginning, the massage pressure was extremely weak--more like light rubbing than an actual massage. I politely asked multiple times for firmer pressure because I was feeling absolutely no benefit, but it kept reverting back to barely-there touches within minutes. When I continued to request stronger pressure, the therapist eventually responded by going to the complete opposite extreme--applying painfully hard pressure all at once, followed by a rude and dismissive tone asking, "Is this strong enough for you?" The attitude shift felt unprofessional and uncomfortable, as if my basic request for proper pressure was an inconvenience. After that point, the entire session felt rushed and passive-aggressive. The handling of towels and overall body language made it feel like the therapist was simply trying to get through the time rather than provide any level of care or professionalism. When I went to pay, the staff spoke to each other in their own language while staring directly at me, which made me feel very uncomfortable. They then asked for a tip. I left 20%, but honestly it did not reflect the quality of service at all. Overall, this was an extremely unpleasant experience and I won't be returning. As a paying customer, I expect a professional massage. If the service consists of little more than lightly rubbing the skin and then becoming irritated when feedback is given, it's simply not worth the money. I had an Amazing massage today with Lucy. Her strong soft hands put me to sleep when she was doing my neck and shoulders. I have had other masseuses but Lucy is the best. I will return next week. I told the lady at the front and she said "thank you" for your kind words. read more

Was in need of a massage and did a walk in at opening and asked if Amy was available (saw her being recommended on Yelp) and she was. I did the one hour combo body massage with her. Payment is required up front for the massage and then you're taken back to the room for the service. There's an extra charge for card but exact menu price for cash. It was a nice massage. Not the best, but not bad. The one hour body combo is supposed to be 40 mins body and 20 mins feet, however I was only given about 10 mins for the feet instead. Not a big deal, I did get a full hour massage, just more time was on the body. In the beginning, there's a rub down with the sheet over you and that's about 10-15 mins, then the sheet comes off and you're massaged with oil. Towards the end, she left the room for a few mins without saying anything and I wasn't sure if she was done or what. Turns out she was getting a wet towel to wipe away the oils. It would've been nice if it was a hot towel. Overall, not a bad experience for a decent price. read more

Small hole in the wall, very unassuming. Called the same day and got appointments for a foot massage that same afternoon. Waiting room was small and there was a line outside the door as only one receptionist and many people buying gift certificates for Mother's Day. Once in very prompt, was clean and relaxing. I had a foot massage about a month ago (first time) and had a body scrub/massage today (several times in the past). Staff is very nice, but my review is about the foot reflexology massage and the ambiance. I was looking for a zen environment & a calming, healing massage. Their massages use intense, short strokes, rather than slow, long strokes. I felt beaten up. Some people may like their technique, but it wasn't for me. Plus, the sheets felt coated with itchy detergent and you could hear one of employees loudly talking up front. read more

Great price and even better massage! My masseuse got all the right spots with the perfect amount of pressure. I requested medium & she could've changed it up at any point if I had asked, but I didn't feel the need to. She kept it at the right pressure for me the entire time. She worked my head, neck, shoulders, back, thighs, legs, and feet for 60 minutes and it was absolutely blissful. She used the sheet at the first and then used oils as well. She was respectful and kind, and didn't chat me up which I appreciate since I'm trying to relax and not make a new friend, lol. Check in was easy and they let you pick the type of massage you want right there so if you have any questions you can ask before you pay. They offer lemon water and mints in the front, and there is a gender neutral restroom in the back. It's located right next to Little Caesar's off Alicia Pkwy, very easy to locate. read more

We have been going here for massage for several years now. Called earlier this morning to make an appointment with our favorite masseuses and we asked for them by name. The receptionist called about 1 hour before our appointment time to tell us that they were ready for us if we want to come a bit earlier. After our check in, she put us in the room for 2 people, which we never had before. We always got individual room in the past. When the masseuse came in, they both looked different than whom we expected to see. Fortunately it worked out fine and they both did a good job. I guess in this business, it's pretty common that the masseuse don't stay at the same place for a long time? They all appear to be new staff here, even the receptionist. Anyhow it was good service overall. Expect good massage, relaxing environment, and no kinky business here. :) read more

Highly recommended. Part of my weekly routine is to spend a few hours at a gym doing exercise, yoga and shower. Next, I go to Massage Square Spa. This facility: has a 1-hour massage for $50 (a very reasonable price), the location is always neat, clean and quiet, the tables have an electric blanket (to warm in the winter) and are in small rooms (in contrast to a big, open area), the front desk lady is always welcoming however the calming music never changes. After trying a few therapists, I selected Lilly because her hands are warm even at the beginning of the massage and she varies the massage to soothe sore muscles from my workout. read more

I really wanted to give this spot a better review but couldn't due to a few very important red flags. Overall the booking process was great. I called the main number and set up my appointment the same day. The price for a Swedish massage was $50 for 60 minutes. That's a pretty good deal. Good so far. When I showed up to my appointment I spoke to a woman behind a glass station. I assumed this was for sanitary purposes but looking back I'm not sure. I was advised I needed to pay upfront prior to my massage. I have not experienced this before but either way I'm going to pay so I agreed and just said I'd like to tip after to which she had me sign on my card and leave the tip spot blank. Ok fine, I'm fine with that. When I went into the room the it was nice enough. The lighting was where you are supposed have your head facing though so I would have preferred opposite. This wouldn't have bothered my if hadn't been for the face/neck holder. It didn't feel like a normal massage table I'm used to. My jaw was clenched most of the time and I had to keep moving my head around to get comfortable. Once the massage started out it was dry at first and then added hot oil but added it directly to my skin without testing the temperature or rubbing on her hands first and it was HOT! No burning that I know of but definitely uncomfortable. The massage itself was good. I would say medium pressure which is what I needed since I went for tight muscles from running. I was not asked what the purpose of my massage was, any previous injuries or any areas of pain. At the beginning of the massage I did notify the areas I was more tight and why I was there but she laughed and just rushed me to start. Something that really bothered me that I consider dangerous was the way I was stretched out mid massage. I was laying face down and my lower leg was lifted for calf massage and once this was complete she proceeded to force my heel to my butt. This was not an ease stretch-she could feel how tight my quads were and still very quickly and forcefully pushed the stretch. It was painful and unexpected and I heard a pop which I think was my ankle. After all of this I still tipped full amount bc I know that's what really affects wages but I don't think I would go back and would not recommend anyone there. To top it all off I also got a skin rash on my body from the type of oil they used on my skin. I do have sensitive skin-sometimes this happens to me in the summer from either the sun or chlorine in pools but I have never had this happen ever at a massage. My wife and I made an appointment to have a massage in Massage Square Spa, Laguna Hills. One and a half hour before our appointment time, the manager/owner lady called us and asked can we come an hour earlier than our appointment time because the massage therapists were available. Since we were available, we rushed to the spa. After being asked, we chose a two-bed room. About half way through our massage session, the manager/owner lady came into our room and asked do we mind moving to two separate single rooms to finish our massage session because a young coupe would like to have the two-bed room for their massage session. To be polite and considerate, we hesitated but agreed to move to two separate single rooms. So, almost naked, we wrapped around ourselves with the sheet, carried our coats, clothing and shoes and walked thru the hallway to two separate single rooms to finish our massage. It is extremely rude for the manager/owner lady to ask us and actually did it. It was unbelievable. The massage therapists were good. But I am not sure I will go back to the same spa again. read more
