Ok, let me set the stage. 1) this is not your cookie cutter american chain massage/spa. You're not going to be offered a glass of champagne or tea, you're not going to get a key to a locker to put away your belongings, and there is no physical door to your massage room lol 2) this is your traditional Asian massage parlor, with rooms separated by curtains, just big enough to fit your massage table (which is also not at hip height like you would imagine, it's closer to knees height), you put your belongings in the corner of the room and on a few clothing hooks that are attached to the wall. 3) the masseuses will likely not speak English, you may or may not be consulted on whether the pressure is too hard or soft, so don't be afraid to speak up My experience here was a toss up. My 3 star review comes from the fact that the nice older woman that conducted my massage, diligently performed a 60 minute massage without pause and for the physical labor alone, the 3 stars is earned. The pros, price. I guess that's really about it lol. For a 60 minute full body massage you pay $50 (although it's advertised as $45... not sure where the extra $5 came from but still a great price) The cons, I was not asked about the pressure that was being applied to my body, therefore left here sore as all get out and my back was swollen for days following lol. I wish there was more distinction between the men and women guests, purely for the fact that you can hear every breath taken, sigh, and moan from the person next to you and I had a man on either side of my "room" and it was very unsettling to say the least. My masseuse focused on a very specific part of my back for about 45 of the 60 minutes and really leaned into it with her elbows and palms and at times I think the only reason she let up is because she heard me wincing. Overall you get what you pay for is the moral of the story here. I will say that I have many friends that are repeat customers here and they all really enjoy it. I will be back for their acupressure foot massages but I think the full body is just a hit too hard core for me lol read more

5 stars - I've been going to Massage Squared ever since I had a bad back injury a few years back. I always need deep tissue and the massage service is on time, very strong (I need strong deep tissue), and the service is just top of the line. I have a few favorite therapists. I used to go here often and I always got female masseuse. Today I went in for a foot massage. A guy masseur asked if I need a shoulder massage too. I said yes to the shoulders and the neck. Massage was subpar overall. It hurt often and even when I told him it hurt, he just laughed and moved on. He told me to lie on my stomach and started massaging my thighs. Then he squeezed my buttocks a few times. I was like WTF! It was so awful. I went to the front desk to tell what happened. The woman said "We massage butt too, and if you didn't want it you should've said so." REALLY? I've been here a dozen times, no one groped my butt. I was visiting my friend in Orange County. I don't get out there too often, but when I do, she wants to show me a good time. We decided to go here and we got a massage and foot rub. George took care of me. He was extremely professional and had just the right touch. I thought it was a good value for the price. I see some reviews where people were offended that they were wanting a tip. Well, although we did not tell these folks what career path to choose, this is the one they did choose. Although you are helping people sometimes it is a thankless job. Like the bartender, waitress or nail technician. These folks are working with their hands. Their career time is limited. They are doing your body a service. They also have to pay to work there. So, yes, they deserve a tip. I did not feel pressured to leave a tip - but I do feel that they should have envelopes with the person's name on it who provided a service for you so that you can leave it at the front for them. Very reasonable prices for south Orange County. I bought the hour long foot and head message. It was decent, just about what you'd expect from places like these. The masseuse was good. She understood English well enough to know what I was requesting. The only downside side to this establishment is that the "rooms" are separated by sheets. The person next to me was making some strange sounds that were a bit distracting to my experience. I have gone to Massage Squared for years, before and after COVID. I call on Sat or Sunday for a same day appointment and always make it in! I have had both male and female therapists and all have been excellent!! I can say this with a lot of weight because I have my Healing Arts degree and was a massage therapist myself for 12 years. The worst foot massage E V E R. If you like your BONES MASSAGE, this is the place for you. The place I usually go to was booked so I thought I try this place. I got a lady who would only MASSAGES YOUR BONES! She likes to use her knuckles to give you bone on bone action. She bruised my shins, ankles bones, top and around my foot, my big toe joint and tendons on my foot. She barely touched my calves, heel or the ball of my foot other than to put lotion on it. The second I got off the table, I can feel heat and tingling pain sensations. By the time I got home, which was a 15min drive ..I was in a lot of pain when I walked, I had to slide my feet so the foot tendons wouldn't stretch. Stupid me for not saying anything. She looks to be in a bad mood already and I didn't want to piss her off. I was hoping it would get better. Guess she didn't get the hints when I was huffing or jerking my legs when it was hurting. I've been a regular customer for awhile now. I loved it. Place is super clean, from the lobby to the rooms. I am sometimes picky with where I get my massages. But every time I get one here, manager James and the therapist never disappoint! I love Jason, George and Tony techniques and they have always helped me relieve the most stubborn muscles. They tackle areas which I didn't know needed stretching or pressure. And their staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Say hi to James!
