I have thick, coarse hair -- and the products they used made it worse, not better. When I finally left, my hair looked dull, dry, and broken at the ends. It was not shiny. It was not smooth. It definitely did not look like I had just paid for a professional blowout. Honestly, it looked like it needed to be washed again. As a hairstylist, you should be detailed in your work and considering once you cut off the hair, it's gone. She cut my hair like she didn't care at all what I wanted. Previous reviews also mentioned similar experience with Penny. She also took a personal call and it was an unpleasant call. She then proceeded to tell me about her personal problem which I did not need to know. I'm not interested in hearing a rant. Later on she made a phone call in the middle of cutting my hair and it was also another not so pleasant conversation. It was not an emergency call so it could have waited. Her cutting techniques were also harsh. Literally pulling on my hair as she cuts the layer and hurting my scalp. I knew this wasn't going to be good when I first sat down in her chair and she started asking me questions because she doesn't believe my hair is naturally straight. She said people say that all the time. Okay? Is that your concern if my hair is naturally straight or not? And yes, my hair is this straight. I did not like the way she spoke to me. It came off as unprofessional and also with an attitude. I showed her what I wanted and she was being argumentative at everything. I'm open to suggestions since this isn't my area of expertise but hair stylists should still respect what clients want. In the end, I did not get what I wanted and ended up with the worst haircut I have gotten. Luckily, hair grows back but my experience here left me with a bad impression of this place. Charging $75 for a haircut of this quality is beyond ridiculous. I sent the feedback survey to them but highly doubt they will reach out to rectify.
