The customer chairs in this salon are very uncomfortable!! It's torture to have to sit in them for the 2-3 hours in takes to have your hair colored, cut and styled. I've heard several other customers have complained as well. Hopefully the owner will read this and get some more comfortable chairs. I have been coming here for a year now and I have tried three different stylists. I will say that the first two people I saw I have a pleasant experience. If it weren't for them I would give 1 star. The downside is the products and highlights kinda all look like variations of the same thing. Today was negative starts. I probably won't be back. My stylist today spent the entire time telling me that I don't take care of my hair (primarily because I don't use salon $$ products), that I wash it too much, that my well water is ruining my hair and I need to filter it, and on and on. In addition, she did a heavy all over highlight and then balayage the pieces in between. So..... why did you not just color it all? She then ran over time and did a client in between me. I was there for 5 hours. At that point I left with wet hair, not brushed, dried or styled because it was 5 hours at this points. I got a $20 discount! This was after she charged me for "specialty color" which we NEVER talked about or said I "can do this but it's a little more." It was literally almost $500 after a 15% tip. Yari saved the day, my hair, and this review! This salon was about to totally strike out with me due to the unreliability of their stylist Amber and their scheduling issues. I set 3 different appointments with Amber and all 3 were canceled within an hour of my scheduled time. The first time I was told she wasn't feeling well and had to cancel. The second time I didn't find out until I arrived at the salon and...oops!...she had been double-booked. Hard to believe since they have a scheduler that puts everything on an electronic calendar. Anyway, they offered a different stylist and I accepted-one of the worst haircuts I'd ever gotten. Had to return the next day so someone else could fix it. Attempt #3 was today. Had an appointment with Amber at 10 and surprise, surprise, she canceled again! Thank goodness for Yari! I was very reluctant to allow another substitute but her bio on the website said she'd been in the business for over 20 years. Took a chance and so glad I did! Yari was so friendly and immediately put me at ease. She asked lots of questions and looked at a couple of pictures I had of pixie styles I liked then went to work. The result is exactly what I wanted. She is wonderful and will be my regular stylist from now on. read more

I'm from out of town and forgot to get my haircut at my regular stylist. I called Beyond Fringe on the way down. They were able to fit me in the same week. Kade did a fantastic job styling my hair and paying extra attention to key issues I had such as the flair I get behind my ears, he trimmed my beard to a style I hadn't tried before and I like it, it's a great fit for me. He even was kind enough to knock down those caterpillar eyebrows I had. Everyone was very nice there, I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Kade! read more

I used to visit years ago when it was a Paul Mitchell Salon. It has since changed to Goldwell which IMO is not the same quality. BF was my third attempt fixing what Belleza and Bonjour did to my hair. In defense of stylist at BF she did 2 months ago help me with conditioning the damage. However, the goal is the trendy bright platinum blonde. I told her do not make my hair a muddy dirty blonde with toners and that is exactly what she did. The reason for the "mud toner" IMO is she uses 20 volume goldwell products. And that product is unable to lift....needing the toner for the gold orange tones she created. I am beyond angry. I'm unsure where to go from here? But Beyond Fringe is off the list. Beware. read more

Yikes! $230 for an overall color, partial highlights, and a haircut? I chose copper red with blonde highlights but the copper definitely looked more brownish. My hair stylist had a difficult time cutting my hair and another stylist actually had to take over. They must have sensed my distress because they offered to correct the color in two weeks and kept inquiring if I liked the cut. I was pleased that they were adamant with me being fully satisfied before I left. After I got home and styled my hair to my liking, I realized that I truly was satisfied with my cut and color. The fact that my stylist took the time to truly make sure I was happy before I left made a big difference. Maybe one day when I hit the lottery I'll be able to afford to go back. read more

Courtney really knows what she is doing. She takes the time to see how you want your hair. I made an appointment for my mom and cousin and they got us all in on Saturday. I love this place! Amber colored my hair before my photo shoot for my new book and i couldn't have been happier. The salon is always spotless clean and I have never left unhappy. Unlike other salons I have been to the stylists all have a cool camaraderie. They help each other and there's no sitting around. They all seem to hop to and help each other and clean up and stay busy. I have a lot of respect for Cade the owner, especially during the Covid mess. He takes a lot of pride in this salon. Taylor fit me in once when amber was busy. She also did a beautiful job. Alejandra, Taylor, and Amber have all done my daughter's hair. I just can't say enough about the staff. I have been going to this salon for a long time. Yes, it is expensive, but completely worth it if you're looking for great service. I love the e-mail reminders (because I am forgetful) and the staff is always friendly and accommodating when I am there, offering me a drink while I wait and while I am getting my hair done. I regularly visit Noel, however all the stylists are very knowledgeable and passionate about hair which is exactly what you want in a stylist. I get my hair colored, and a touch up every 6 weeks or so - and even with red, which is hard to keep, the color looks great even between touch ups. it's short in my profile picture, but now is about down to my armpits :-) read more

Went to a senior stylist who charged me $57 for a cut and it still looked off and uneven and then I had to come back again and a third time then the last time she charged me $57 again...(all within a short period of time) The stylist seemed as if she didn't want to work too hard...Very unhappy with my hair and my look...I believe this girl shouldn't be charging as a senior stylist...(not enough experience!) Then she said I should learn how to blow dry my hair better...that it wasn't the cut... For that price I would expect great service and someone really caring to make a customer happy... Better to go to a large chain where they stand behind their work and have a reputation to upkeep. read more

I've seen this place chilling in the Waterpoint shopping center for a while and I was intrigued, but I didn't get in until last week for my back-to-school haircut (I'm going to Buenos Aires and apparently the mullet is IN there so I decided to get the haircut done in the good ol' USA.) The woman I spoke to on the phone making the appointment was not very friendly or helpful. It may have been a different person than the regular receptionist, because when I went in she was nice and encouraged me to look at the drink menu...ooh la la. The salon itself is cool and modern looking, blow dryers hanging from the ceiling and they turn on when you pull on them, a little bar where they do color. It feels very upscale, especially considering other salons in the area. I saw Sean, who is a cutie, and he cut my hair beautifully. I told him the end result that I wanted: sad curls revitalized! He gave me great layers in a big curly cut that was exactly what I wanted-- I love it. I highly recommend him but all the stylists seemed professional and extremely competent; I wouldn't have a problem getting my hair cut by anyone in there. All in all, the $35 price tag is a great value for the superb haircut and fun experience that you get at this salon. I will definitely be back on winter break for back-to-spring-semester haircut. read more

If I could give this salon 100 stars I would! I've been a client for over a year now and I absolutely love my stylist Sean! I can be a very picky client and I am constantly changing my mind. I go from blonde in the summer to dark in the fall. For anyone who knows hair knows that this is a can be troublesome for any stylist. Sean nails it every time. He is very creative, a master in his craft, he takes the time to understand my wants, uses great quality product, and is incredibly professional. All the girls are super friendly, amazing customer service from start to finish, unlike some salons. AMBER IS ONE OF THE BEST STYLIST I've ever been to!! For years I have been to salons from Spring to College Station with ok cuts. This time it was a messed up layer cut from another salon in Montgomery. Amber not only blended & shaped it but it is the style for me! From the professional reception I received both on the phone and in the salon, to the fact that I could get a same-day appointment, to the consultation with Courtney about "what I wanted" and her professional input...my initial impression was very positive. After the consultation, we decided I needed to alter the appointment to achieve the result I was seeking and Courtney asked if I could wait for her to finish her current client. The atmosphere while waiting was very relaxing and I actually enjoyed it. The color process was easy and didn't take very long. The result was better than I had hoped for, and was exceeded only by the cut! I walked out feeling refreshed, younger-looking and with a new friend. I put 2 stars, because the haircut was ok, but the hair color- was awful. I arranged appointment with Kait, who once did my haircut. As I was told he's been in this business for more than 15 years and besides he is a salon owner. So I trusted him. I came to him to fix my bleached hair roots that was yellow. So he decided to bleach them one more time. When I asked if it was gonna damage my hair he told me don't worry it won't hurt. So when he finished bleaching and washing my hair he started to blow dry and I got to see what happened to my hair. There where 1 inch hair breakages all over my head. And the roots were still yellow. It was terrible. When I asked him what was that, he told me that I came with this breakages. Can you believe that. Looking at me ready to cry He told me: "be strong ". And charged me $170. I felt so hateful and disappointed so I paid the bill and gave him tip. Because All I was thinking about was that I was gonna get bold. When my husband and my friend saw my hair they were really mad. My husband told me that I was out of my mind to pay him $200. So think twice before going to see Master Stylist Kait. Hopefully he'll read this review and see the photos read more

I went to this salon asking for a dark gray balayage and the lady said she couldn't get my hair to that so I was like ok can you please make my hair as close as you can and the last thing I want is blonde in my hair and she was like ok it's gonna be blonde after I JUsT SAiD No BLonde, and basically she didn't want to take the time to get me where I wanted my hair to be and now my hair goes from dark brown to golden brown and I basically paid 200 dollars for it's to look almost the same as it did before I went in , I tried to love it but the more I think about it the more I feel ripped off:)))))))))( read more

Run do not walk from this unprofessional salon! I've had my hair done by a "master stylist" as well as I guess a regular one or whatever they call it... They do not know how to do blonde hair however they do know how to do "brassy" and tremendous damage to your hair. They push their products like crazy as well as charge you for services you have not had. I've since started going to another salon in the Montgomery area that charges quite less and does a 100% better job. read more
