Boy's hair cut is $25 and plus tip so $30 I heard it's $18 from a friend and I also saw the price on their vagaro app, however it is actually $25 which I didn't know until checking out. I think you should call them to make an appointment instead of using the app. The hair cut my son got by Tracy is the worst, horrible... He was upset that his t-shirts got wet (right shoulder and back was bad) and the lady was rough. Just wanted to share our experience, hope this helps for someone! read more

Tracy Do is a lazy girl's dream cone true! I am 48 and finally found someone who knows how to cut my soft/fine & frizz prone hair. I've been to her twice now and literally have gotten the best two haircuts of my life! The haircuts she gives makes my hair so easy to tame & control without a lot of work or product. Heard a few raves about a new salon... Located on 1488 just west of 45 tucked back in the Dosey Doe strip mall. Salon has mod, simple n easy vibe, 8 chairs (4 on each side) and impeccably clean . It's a tad funky upon entering as you literally walk into the middle of the work area until you're directed towards reception desk mid back. Owner Tony Do was the talent and his staff - be it to wash, sweep, add color, blow dry - was in it to assist when and where needed. What I liked - Tony was passionate, seemed to care and was honest about what would and would not work ..he seemed to know his craft. He was on time and efficient and the beverages were a nice touch (and the dual blow out was beyond great) What I was iffy about - whether in a posh big city salon or a sweet podunk country salon, I've never been a fan of a stylist (let alone owner) split their time between my scheduled appt and other Clients, especially walk in's .. (who does that any more?) The downside for me were the walk ins, informing owner of basic hygiene 101 n to exchange the comb he was about to use on me for a clean one (I literally watched that comb being used on another client n and the whole time I'm screaming in my head .. oohh no.. no .. no...he's not gonna do what I think he's gonna do is he?!) And finally .. i don't remember the last time I left a Salon with stripes vs. highlights. To wrap up - Cut/color n highlight without gratuity came to $135 (I always wonder how they figure the ++ on top of their suggested rates). I was so excited to get my hair highlighted, toned and cut. I made sure to let the stylist know that I don't like stripes. I was happy with the color before I left, but when I got home, I was so disappointed! The top looks good, but I won't be able to put it in a pony tail because it will show that she didn't highlight to the scalp and there are orange, brassy lines!!! Pricing is off too! I thought it would be 120-135...nope $150 plus tip. So, the search continues! ***note*** They are very friendly and sweet. They do give great cuts and shampoo. I just wouldn't do another highlight service. read more

I normally go to the Cypress location but didn't have time to travel from north conroe to Cypress to get my hair done. I decided to try this location. The owner of Modern Salon, Long has done an impeccable job of setting the same high standard at this location for his clients. I was able to call last minute and get my hair highlighted and cut by the new manager, Tracey. She is wonderful with color and my haircut is perfect! I was so impressed she was able to see me at the last minute and even stayed late to finish. I'm sad I won't see Long to do my hair anymore but so incredibly grateful that he shared his talents with Tracey. No more long drives to Cypress. My mom has been getting her hair done by Modern Salon for years. When my hairdresser from another salon went on maternity leave, I got anxious and just wanted to get it done. I called and got an appointment same day, and am really happy with the results. Tracy did my hair and I felt that she was really communicative and helped me pick out the color I liked (since it was a new place) and took time and care with a balayage, tone, and cut. I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. And, nothing can beat the prices here - I actually feel much less guilty getting it done more frequently because their menu is really affordable. I have been coming to Modern Salon for years. The salon is very nice and clean. Tracy was very good at explaining to me that to go from dark hair to blonde is not a one time process. It took several sessions to get my hair to looks like the picture I showed her(blonde balayage without being damaged). And for years she took my hair from dark to blonde to light brown and back to blonde. The drive is far but I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. read more

I highly recommend Modern Salon on 1488. I was a walk-in who got lucky enough to get Tracey and there are not enough compliments in the world to do justice for her talent. In my 20+ years of getting my hair done, she's by far the best colorist I have met. She took the time to really understand what I was looking for, explained various options to me and how they would effect the "look", and then spent as much time as needed to get it right. My husband, daughter and I come here every time we need cuts. We always have a great experience. My husband who's probably more picky than me even loves it here. We are always beyond pleased with the outcomes. I've always had bad experience with other salons. They either cut really choppy and uneven or half (excuse my french) ass the styling. I wish when I got my toddler's 1st haircut that I came here, because another place screwed up my daughter's hair and I literally cried. Never again.
