I have been using Sock Monster ever since they have opened and have had a great experience with them. My cloths smell FRESH each time, are separated, and folded neatly each time. I remember a time when they experienced a small fire they were committed to re-washing clothes and made sure I got everything back within the next week. They also have a dry cleaning extension that allows me to get my business suits and shirts dry cleaned. I can not wait until they expand into Brooklyn so I can recommend my friends and family from my old neighborhood. read more

This is the only Laundromat I will use in my area. The washing machines and dryers are clean and new. The staff is amazing and helpful. I have a Laundromat in my building but Sock monster has more wash and dryers and better machines. I have also dry clean at sock monster a few of my blouse and the came out amazing. I've actually really been enjoying the nightmare of this chores called laundry thanks to Sock Monster. Just the overall ambience feels welcoming and great. The music is always great, The machines are exceptional and the workers are approachable, kind and friendly. In the past, I would do you laundry in my building. Let's just say that the machines were disgusting, barely even washed the cloths and the soap never dispense from the actual machine. Recently moved to the neighborhood and I was looking for a laundromat that does pick-up/drop-off, which Sock Monster offers. They are also fairly priced at about $.95/lb, but I found a competitor 2 blocks away for $.70/lb. However, my issue with this establishment is the quality of their work. First, I was told they would call when my laundry was ready, no call was made after three days; in fact, I initiated the call. On the basis of this, I wouldn't write a negative review, but when I opened my laundry bag, it was a mess. Shirts and pants were folded inside out and socks weren't consistently matched. If I am paying for a service, I expect to receive that service better than I could do it. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't very positive. Absolute trash. I ordered pickup/dropoff service on delivery.com. I hate I didn't check yelp first or I would've known how bad they are. They were a day late on both pickup and drop off. When i finally got my clothes, nearly all of the items were shrunken. I'm talking everything from shirts to socks. Mind you, I specifically requested the items to be dried on medium. They claim they do but I've never had this problem with any other service/company. Never again. read more

Someone who works there stole a very very distinctive graphic sweater while they were washing and folding my clothes. The owners made themselves unavailable and did not offer any kind of resolution. Don't send your clothes here. Even the way they steal is hella disrespectful. What was I gonna not notice it was gone? Smh. read more

Sock Monster Laundromat is a great facility. They have great new machines and equally great customer service. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also offer drop off services if you don't have time to do your own laundry. I would definitely recommend this laundromat. read more

This place is a joke. I was standing outside waiting for this laundry to open for a half hour. I got tired of waiting and I went back home. This is not the first time I had to wait either. They do not value their customers and are very unprofessional. Don't think I will be going back to this Laundromat. The dryers were out of service for almost a year and then when they are finally working you do not even open on time for customers. I've had enough. read more

The laundromat service is wonderful but the delivery guys sucks he is suppose to come upstairs to my house , to pick it up and drop it off and he doesn't. Everytime he has to come pick up my clothes he has an excuse but he think he deserves a tip. You have to be kidding me!!! Please get a new delivery guy Flash is the worst !!! Employee that handles laundry is disrespectful and rude. She will take your personal belongings and move them for no reason other than she has a special attachment to the laundry carts that are available for CUSTOMERS!!!! I can handle the location being tiny but I cannot and refuse to tolerate some random person placing their hands on my personal property where I have my wallet and other belongings for her to place them somewhere else more convenient to her so she could use the cart I was already using while there was plenty of empty carts already available to her disposal!! I even asked the front desk girl if the carts were assigned and she was baffled herself why the attendant doing laundry would even swap the carts and move my personal belongings for no reason at all! read more

So, let me start by saying, this place is actually really good. I'm the wake up early on Saturday and get my house chores done so I can relax all weekend kinda girl. This includes weekly laundry trips. Centrally located on a block that is quickly coming to life again with numerous little shops and boutiques, Sock Monster was the perfect fit. This place had recently become my go to when the laundry room in my building went to the shits. So why the 3 stars?... About 3 weeks ago, after lugging my clothes and all my necessary laundry supplies to this place...I was disappointed to find plastered on the front door, a note stating that the dryers were out of order. Back home I went to fidget with the downstairs laundry room, confident that that next week would be better. It wasn't. Nor was the next week. Or the one after that. It has been 3 weeks since the dryers have stopped working and I can't seem to understand why the issue hasn't been resolved yet. My assumption is that dryers would be an essential part of your business if you own a laundromat. I could be wrong, but that's just my guess. I truly hope this issue gets resolved sooner than later so it's patrons don't have to go through the hassle of washing in one location and drying in another. You guys are awesome, don't mess that up now!!! UPDATE: 2/4/18 So...it has literally been almost 5 months and...STILL no dryers. I'm so completely baffled as to what the issue is. I'd previously heard something about ConEd. And can confirm that there is work being done in the neighborhood by ConEd a small distance away from this establishment. However...5 months without dryers? How is it that every other business on the exact same block has been able to operate per normal...except this location? Frustrated because this entire Winter, I've had to spend money traveling to and from the laundromat about 5 blocks up from this location. Truly hoping this issue gets resolved ASAP. Update: 4/4/18 The dryers are FINALLY BACK! I seriously thought for a while that we were going to lose this establishment. Just when I was ready to write them off...a notice was posted in front of the business confirming that the dryers were back in service. I can now resume my normal house chores on the weekends without having to Uber blocks away for a few loads of laundry. Again, this may have not been such a issue for most people. But for me, it was. There's something about clean laundry that makes me feel...adult-ish (?) especially on my cleaning weekends. Glad this location is back up and running. read more

I wanted to like you, I wanted to patronize you but now Im just pissed off. You saw me using the washing machines and didnt mention that the DRYERS WERE NOT WORKING. I was the only person in there. You might have mentioned it if you were decent. You didnt, and now I have a bag full of wet clothes I will have to re-wash.You posted a tiny sign on a door THAT WAS OPEN AND NOT CUSTOMER FACING when I walked in. WTF sock monster?
