I went in on a Thursday night and they had karaoke with a DJ. Food was ordered from a QR and they bring it to your table.

Luckily we found parking at the venue. They have a couple of bar set ups. It's easily accessible off south blvd. No food but plenty of places around the venue. I would come back here anytime for an outdoor concert as it's low key and small enough where you feel part of the concert from anywhere.

The ambiance early in the evening is relaxed outdoor seating needs to update the benches they're not comfortable and the woods starting to warp but, decent music, and a solid cocktail menu. It's the kind of place where you can actually hear your conversation and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. However, as the night progresses and the vibe shifts into more of a "clubby" scene which ended up being a perfect combo but let's talk charges.. feels steep for what's essentially a modest venue without standout features. Drink prices were high like the cover but not in a way that reflects upgraded quality or service. For the area, there are other spots offering more for the same price or even less but with cozy comforts and inside seating, nicer facilities so it's easy to find things not to love if you come here to support a DJ friend like I did than pay the cover and mingle. It's not a bad place by any means, and the early lounge experience is definitely a highlight followed up with the banging DJ club scene after...it's just the paying premium rates for a relatively average experience for me.

It's one of the best venues to see up and coming bands, as well as bands who are already well known from around the country. The stage is low but wide enough where everyone can actually see what's going on, which gives the venue an intimate feel. I like that it has some space in the back if you want a little room to back away to talk with your friends. This way you can do so at the bar area and not in the band area. Good size. Close location to uptown. Awesome bands. Great drink prices. If you're looking to try something new, give it a go.

Unless you arrive early before the music starts, the parking is terrible there and sometimes I feel unsafe to walk through those alleys in the dark alone. However the guard to the place has given me the worst impression without respect or common sense a few times that discouraging me to go there again. When I asked my friends if they experienced that, a few even said they had never been asked to show ID to go into the place. Perhaps we are Asian female and look strange. At one time, my friend came from other state and left her driver license in the car at my home. She showed that she had a copy of ID, We are all beyond 50's, the security said she had to have the real driver license. Come on give us a break? We had to drive home to get it. Last night, I went there myself, not only this guard examined my driver's license to see if that's real, check my bag and even asked me to open my jacket that was just an pullover. What authorities did he had? That's an insult to a female. Should this place hire a female guard for female as well? Someone is wrong with those guys. Been to many nightclubs in Charlotte, this is the worst I've come across so far. Been in upper management in law enforcement all my life, here I then find one who doesn't need to bring his head but his power to work.

I used to come here often way back when, but not so much anymore…read more.. We revisited this place on Saturday with some friends to see this cover band, The Camera Eye, for Rush...and they were so good, I think I'm now a Rush fan (like my husband has been for years). It was good to see that this place is still hopping. The place looked about the same (a bit worn down, of course), but many more bar chairs and tables than in the distant past. Think it's been at least 4 years since I've last been here? WOW. Although I haven't been here in a while, I've always loved this place. It's spacious with several levels...and has such a cool, comfy vibe. Also, the light show and the sound system is really good! I also thought the bar service was really quick. Despite the huge crowd, I got served right away! Not sure if they still do raves, dance parties and special shows like they did in the past, but I remember some of the best times here. After seeing the stellar cover band this weekend, I'm thinking that this place is a keeper...and I hope to have more good times here in the future!

Parking was a challenge because I didn't really understand where we could park. I originally parked in the lot across from the nearby hospital until a staff member told me they tow very regularly. The staff recommended parking in the lot directly across the street. I appreciated that while we were waiting in line a staff member did an ID check which made things smoother when doors opened. The Visulite theatre provides water for free and had a few tables and chairs which is a luxury I really appreciated. You're allowed to bring food into the venue and I saw quite a few people with Viva Chicken from next door. Seating is first come first served seating but my wife and I were able to find two seats. The ambiance is a cool vibe and my wife and I loved the disco ball in the middle of the theatre. The concert itself was very nice and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. The staff was great and the other perks mentioned above is definitely enough for me to want to come back and see someone else in concert.

It's worth waiting in line an hour before doors open to get a good spot! This particular show, it was just starting to get cold outside when they let us in. Unfortunately the doors remained opened for another hour before the show began, and it started to get FREEZING cold. Just keep this in mind. Once the show gets started, you'll be hot and sweaty from the crowd, but before that time, I was really wishing for a giant hoodie. Cold air was blasting from the AC & from the outside. During the show, security was very watchful and attentive. They passed out free water and made sure everyone was taken care of. They truly go above and beyond here, even letting us know before the show that if we were bothered by crowdsurfing to them know, so they could take care of us. Overall, fantastic venue. Just make sure you're dressed appropriately!

They passed out small cups of water to some people but having actual air would e been better. I hope that's not a regular occurrence. They also tried to close the doors once the main act was on stage but one worker had sense to tell them they couldn't logically close us in there with no air flow.

But really want to point out the staff and how attentive they were and how friendly they were. It was a cold night and they were efficient in getting everyone in safely and were knowledgeable when providing menu recommendations and setting expectations. The guy even explained that he wanted to meet the band after and have them sign his poster. Too bad. They sent various other people back to their cars for other minor things too. It did not make sense or make us feel any safer. It just made going to a show feel like a chore. Once we were inside we all wanted to grab a beer. This is definitely not the place to do that! They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We ventured to the bar on the right and a few of us ordered mixed drinks.
